Usually
I
am
all
about
the
food,
but
there
were
a
couple
of
misses
about
this
place
that
compromised
my
impression
of
it.
The
food
was
definitely
better
than
your
average
yakitori
-
the
hotate
scallop
had
lots
of
char,
the
chicken
fillets
and
breasts
were
tender,
the
chicken
wings
were
expertly
done,
and
even
the
salad
was
good.
Special
shoutout
to
the
chicken
liver
pate
as
well.
It
was
quite
a
light
meal
even
at
the
end
of
the
omakase.
We
got
both
the
chicken
and
chicken
and
beef
omakases
to
try.
The
difference
between
the
two
was
$30
and
it
consists
of
three
extra
beef
dishes
-
the
beef
tongue,
the
tataki
and
beef
skewers
which
are
all
really
not
that
great
-
the
beef
was
overcooked
and
dry
in
the
tataki
and
beef
skewers,
and
it
felt
like
a
little
bit
of
a
rip
off
for
$30.
I
guess
the
thing
was
that
we
were
not
aware
of
that
they
are
only
serving
omakase
menus
for
dinner,
and
we
had
to
pick
one
of
the
omakases
-
which
means
that
to
order
ala
carte,
we
had
to
order
on
top
of
the
menu.
The
chicken
omakase
was
$60ish++
and
they
also
charge
an
obscene
amount
of
money
for
water
($8
for
a
bottle
of
water)
-
not
the
kind
of
price
range
for
water
you
would
expect
from
such
a
casual
place.
All
in
all,
for
a
party
of
4,
the
bill
was
over
$500
which
I
thought
was
ridiculous.
