Coming from the UK where A&E is a mess and can take hours, Mount Elizabeth is beyond expectations. I was seen by a nurse within 20 minutes of arriving, and treated within the hour. (Laceration on finger). Insurance is applicable here. Total costs (on a public holiday nonetheless) were <S$450 dollars. Expected much higher. Staff were all friendly and fun to chat to.

It’s a frustrating service as we had to wait 45 minutes to see a doctor outside A&E, as the hospital does not want people in the air conditioned waiting area. This means we sat in a makeshift lobby outside in the humidity and heat and passing car exhausts. When the doctor did arrive, he was good and explained what was necessary and referred us to a specialist for further care. The front of house team and nurses seem like they are are exhausted. The triage system doesn’t fill me with confidence should you have a life threatening issue.

The worst private hospital ever. Went in on 31st Mar 2023 as I fainted near Paragon and was rushed to the nearest hospital to check what's wrong. Seeing that I was still giddy, none of the nurses push a wheelchair over to prevent fall risk, until a junior nurse in the A&E came and said "oh no one gave you a wheelchair? I'm so sorry let me do it.". I told them I was allergic to Prochlorperazine, but the doctor prescribed the same thing! Thank God the elderly nurse checked before administering! After 2 bag of drips and medication given, I felt okay to go back home as they mentioned they were out of beds, and told me to come back if my giddiness persists. The next day I went back due to the bad giddiness (i totally couldnt drive) and also needed to collect my antibiotics medication (was diagnosed with Mycoplasma Pneumonia) and the doctor suggested a MRI scan on my brain to see if there was anything causing the blackout and giddiness. While collecting the medication, the elderly cashier rudely interrupted the nurse halfway through her explanation of the dosage and told me "The bill is $90.". I told her "Can you please wait? The nurse is halfway through her explanation, plus the doctor ordered a MRI scan." Then she went like "Oh. The MRI scan is $3000+ you know?" I was like "Uh huh? Then?". Then she kept quiet. Throughout the whole experience, it seemed like medical attention wasn't important afterall. What's more important is who came in to the hospital with Hermes, Chanel or LV then who will be attended with the most care. The standard of care is worst than Mt. A or SGH.

Poor treatment- which is probably even worse than the long wait time . We waited 2.5 hours at A&E to see a doctor for a small foreign object object lodged in the throat. He didn't do anything, said he can't see anything and referred us to the ENT for the next day. the ENT literally solved it within 4 minutes using nothing more than a torch and forceps. It's was a very simple issue high enough in the throat that really the A&E GP should have been able to fix right away and yet we were referred to the significantly more about expensive specialist. All this was at 9:30 pm and we at A&E till past midnight with no resolution.

Don’t go! The doctor was extremely rude. The whole process super slow, no coordination between the teams. Ended up waiting too long with no results and paying for nothing. It was Dr. Yip Chee Wei. In fact he was humiliating the patient and giving sarcastic responses. We go to A & E when there is an emergency, it’s unfair to treat the patients with such attitude. We somehow came out of the place to visit a proper hospital.

Seriously the worst private hospital... I really don't understand why ppl are so inefficient here and like endless waiting even you have made the reservation. The test was literally 10 sec, but I waited over 30 mins, then after PDT, another 30 mins for payment...

Avoid! The waiting area is seats in the road right next to traffic, they haven't even bothered to make a temporary outbuilding with doors for waiting and triage which would at least be hygenic. I had to stand for 20 minutes in the road with a suspected medical emergency at the front desk, was not offered a seat while the rude cashier argued with my insurance company about money. The doctor was rushing and did not ask further questions on my symptoms so produced a memo with incorrect symptom information- I had to ask for this to be corrected. I did not feel looked after or cared for in any way. Horrific, never going back.

private service yet terrible service we have received. checked for my baby’s condition by the doctor in a&e at 12.30pm, they said they will refer to the pediatric at level 4. so we waited until 1.10pm and the nurse told us to faster head to level 4 clinic to get registered. once we reached the clinic at 1.20pm, the trainee of the clinic told us to wait outside of the clinic until 2pm. at 2pm, we did our registration at the clinic and got informed that we will be the last patient of the day due to our baby’s condition. went back to the a&e to ask about what is going on. we went to a&e for a reason right? to faster get treatment and yet what we get is all waiting. we don’t even know for the condition that my baby have will cause us to be the last patient of every clinic and we will just have to wait. the staff told us that it will be the same situation for every clinic here in Mount E and even other private clinic. the doctor in the A&E clinic is helpful in helping in my son’s condition. only 1 nurse whom helped in sponging is helpful. the rest of the nurse and staff all are not empathy of our situation and not helping to resolve my baby’s health condition. not sure why did we even think of visiting Mount E which did not help in resolving health issue.

I am a local resident. I visited the emergency department in the morning of April 12 2023. Staffs did their best. Dr. Sim and Sister Tsang were efficient and very professional and friendly. As a patient, our case is always the most urgent to US. Please do our part to thank them and give each other a smile. They are humans after all.

Broke my leg, it took 4 hours to put a cast on it, xray and other things like paying. May as well of flown to another country to get my leg checked. Price is very expensive (from upwards of $1k+ for just a splint and xray and a full check + a waste of time)

Nurses in A&E are treating the patient and their family like a garbage and what they have mentioned is that β€œ you have spilled water” although they have kept us waited for more than an hour just outside of A&E. I will never visit this place in the future.

I would like to express my appreciation for the hard work of the A&E team, particularly Dr. Jonathan Goh, for his dedication and ability to remain calm and organized in his work. Please continue your excellent efforts.

Great clean place, but seriously they are sneaky with prescribing medication. What outside costs 20$ they are offering for nearly 180$. Tip for travelers get the prescription and go outside to a pharmacy to get medication.

Extremely poor service. Slow to attend to the patient. In the ward, the nurses were noisy with how they move things around, set up the beds or everything. A few nurses were nice but generally, they are not very professional. Sadly, they did not pay attention (despite informing) to my food allergy - gluten, lactose and dairy intolerance and ended giving me q gluten meal that caused allergy. They did not apologise, and on top of that, they charged for the allergy tablet. In the end, I waited 3 hours for discharge and was not able to even rest on my bed, because the patient beside my bed was so chatty and the nurses were walking in and out disregarding my situation, did not advise the patient to maintain silence. Not worth the money spent for sure!!!!!!!!!!!
