Worst A&E experience. Eyes got stung bee and was asked to wait for 5 hours without any indication of how long more it will take for my turn. Approached nurses twice on how many hours more of waiting and none of them were able to give me an indication of times. One of them even said can be up to 7 hours wait. I would like to stress that 99% of the patients there were all needed to wait for at least 4 hours before they got the chance to see doctor for treatment. What an excellent service. Eventually, I had decided to switch to another hospital (TTS) and the service provided was excellent. They shown you the indication waiting time for all patients in A&E, without letting you wait there aimlessly. And most importantly, the doctor there (Dr. Heng) treated you with care and concern. He attended to my case in less than 15 minutes after registration. He came to me personally and he explain in detailed. I spent less than 2 hours in TTS for overall A&E treatment while I spent 5 hours (before I gave up) in SGH without knowing how long more shall in wait there.

My experience was more than 5 years ago. It's unbelievable that it's an emergency facility. As attested by other reviewers if you indeed had an emergency there is a high chance you might not survive the waiting time. I don't see any urgency by the doctors to see the patients. Alexandra hospital had much shorter waiting time or go to private hospitals if you can afford it.

Please teach your front staff more about empathy and professionalism. Arranged an appointment here as my previous doctor said it was less crowded at the time. Went inside the first room before ECG and was met with this nasty woman. She straightaway talked to me in a very condescending way like I owed her a living and am wasting her precious minutes. Kept on rambling on how I will have to wait for many hours in a tone as if she was challenging me to get out. I have never been treated so disgustingly and itโ€™s from a healthcare worker. Though the AE doctor is really friendly and nice.

Right now waiting for 6 hours (still counting on) to admit my dad for gall bladder stones and a swollen abdomen. Due to dementia he has lost his sense of pain therefore he is just being parked in a wheelchair despite repeatedly asking for at least a couch if no bed available. However a young girl with red wrist tag happily sits on a trolley bed cross legged actively using her handphone. Where are your priorities?! Forced to be back here as previously my dad was brought in by ambulance and a procedure was done here....I will NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone... Nurses getting irritated with patients when approached with requests...who likes sitting at an A & E by choice? If cannot handle just close down...

Registered at 11.04am on 15/01/22 Appreciate all the front line staff except the "patient associate, wearing green T-shirt & refuse to give me her name" who is attending to my mother ward admission is rude, speak loudly & in a "threatening voice ". Saying if there is no bed available for 24 to 36 hrs, my mother have to stay inside A&,E. Request I go home & don't wait in the A&E for 2-3days. IMPOSSIBLE!!! This is not the 1st time that my mother was admitted. My mother (89 yrs old) will be feel better knowing that I'm near her.

Don't go to SGH with your child unless it's something REALLY SERIOUS. My wife took my son to KK this week and waited for FOUR HOURS without being called. Then my son was unwell today and we decided to give SGH a try. My wife and my son waited for 2.5 HOURS without any support. I went there and talked to the management. They said that it would take 1 to 2 HOURS more to be called. This place was also full, but at least not very noisy. After that, we asked for cancellation. They said that we still need to pay something, let's see. I'm very BADLY IMPRESSED with the public health system of Singapore. Or at least with these two hospitals. Never saw something like this even in much poorer countries. Singapore is such an amazing place with people so nice, it deserves a better health system.

My mom went there for an appointment and was rewarded by a rude nurse that decided to take her time and purposely ignore all the patients waiting there. It's no wonder SGH has such a good recovery rate. Death = No More Sickness You can see an image of said nurse in another user's photos(the one that was rude and refused to tell anyone her name in description). Unfortunately this is the best of the best that we have in Singapore. Unless you are filthly rich/have connections, don't expect to have a good time here. I hope everyone in your company has a life as great as the service you provide to us.

Came in at 4.45pm, still waiting currently at 11.50pm with no resolution, currently still waitingโ€ฆ The A&E department wait is longer than your bus ride to KL, you wonโ€™t know what youโ€™re waiting for. It could be the decision making of the doctors, it could be the capacity of the facilities, it could be the inefficiency. Please treasure your life and your time, skip this one. Update @ 01.40am: Finally consult a doctor (after 9 hours) Update @ 2.34am: Finally left the A&E after 10 hours.

Is it the place to save someone's life? I waited the doctor from 5 am to 12 pm. I couldn't see the doctor. Cried while sitting the chair for 2 hours. Some Indian woman called me to pay and pay and pay for A&E. That Indian woman will go to the hell. She was like an evil

Went to level 1 specialist clinic on 02 Nov. Firstly, Doctor Chin is nice and very experienced doctor to consult. However, the reception could be better. When i went to collect the medication, I initiated to tell the reception I am under the company insurance group, and the reception gave a puzzled look and told me that I should tell them before I made the appointment. I do not need such unnecessary remarks or reaction and they should just simply allow me to fill the insurance group information, and review on how they can improve the process so that this administrative mistake can be improved. I suggest to improve things please train your reception to ask patient if they are making the appointment under insurance group as a standard procedure as this will help patients provide all information required to make the appointment. Another issue I found is that the reception told me because I am under company insurance they will be no invoice provided to patient. I know that clinic submit claims directly to the insurance group but patient not getting an invoice is very concerning. Do also note that when I go to other clinics like Q&M Medical they do provide invoice to patients even if it is claimed under the company insurance. The reason for giving the invoice to patient is for reconciling with the claims made to the insurance group with patient copy invoice to resolve discrepancy in claims. In short it is to prevent insurance fraud, where clinics or hospital could submit doctored claims and they is no way for insured patient to dispute the claims since they is no invoice provided to them. When I told the reception that other clinics also providing invoice in such circumstances and commented that is very unusual why no invoice is provided to me, none of the receptionists in the reception area could be bothered to even respond or engage with my comments/feedback and instead went with a "silent treatment" towards me. Now I find this very rude and unprofessional. They should very least acknowledge my comments and ask me to submit a feedback officially.

9 hour wait for a doctor. Aggressive, rude, unhelpful and lying nurses. If you ever get here, your goal should be to get admitted to some ward ASAP. The longer you stay at this A&E, the higher your risk of long term disability. Doctors and rest of the hospital are quite OK :)

I accompanied my husband to SGH AnE dept on 10 apr 23. We reached at 3pm and were still waitiing when it was 10.30pm! The nurses were all quite rude and inpatient! We were equally frustrated having to wait so long and a nurse even shouted at me to get out of the room! However, the doctors were all quite nice, a shoutout to Dr Rahalkar, who really was very friendly, patient and comprenhensive in his explanation. All our queries were answered thoroughly and in details. At this point of time, it really brightened up our mood! KEEP IT UP Dr Rahalkar๐Ÿคž

Never seen a well established hospital with such a poor efficiency in Emergency department. Registered at 6:45pm, managed to see the doctor at 12am. Staff claimed lot of patients visited.. but in reality not even see >20patients in waiting area. Q-number moves like 1 patient after every 15min, although 4 doctors on duty. Pharmacy don't have basic medicines like eye drops. In emergency, strongly recommends NOT to go here.. unless you want die in the Q.

Such a disgrace as this is a Gov hospital Get a Q number and waited 5 hours still didnโ€™t get to consult a doctor in the A&E department SGH didnโ€™t understand what is emergency department if is not urgent patient will just visit regular GP Patient around the waiting area is complains how painful theyโ€™re and how uncomfortable theyโ€™re . Some did ask the nurses for help that how long they need to wait to get to their turn but get turn by by nurse that they didnโ€™t know the Q number system , and just ask them to wait in a unpolite manner Horrible ! Saw an uncle with a swollen red foot crying in his pain complaining that he came at 1pm and waiting to 9.30pm still didnโ€™t get his turn ! How pathetic is this ! Such a shame that this a Singapore General Hospital When to KTPH A&E before twice and amazed by they professional team very fast and efficient and everything is in order Didnโ€™t expect SGH to have this kind experience MOH should look into this ! This is totally unacceptable 21/08/2023 9.49pm

Brought a relative in for abdominal pain at 11pm on a Saturday night. The A&E was quite empty. But guess what? It took us up to 5 hours of waiting to see a doctor. We were referred by a clinic to A&E on suspected appendicitis issues and yet, we waited 5 hours! I repeat 5 hours. I've been to the A&E at CGH for normal caught and flu and I waited for only 2 hours while it was packed. Is SGH so terrible? What is this?! If you need a doctor in the middle of the night. Might as well pray for God to heal you. I bet it will be faster.

Not a pleasant experience. My relative was admitted to AnE yesterday noon for severe Pneumonia which wiped out the entire right lung. The long waiting time for bed is common among hospital. However, I found that no update from the team n family is not allowed to ask the security to help to call nurse inside the critical area so family can ask for update. I was told by security that ' they cannot call the nurses inside, you have to catch hold of any nurse that walk out of CC to ask them." I feel that this is not appropriate. There must be a way to allow constant update for family if it is needed to wait for hours for bed.

There is a lot left to be desired in terms of service and professionalism. I had submitted an enquiry for an appointment about two weeks before, but did not receive any reply so I had called the clinic and was told that due to the purpose of my appointment, I can walk in. On the day itself, I was chided by the staff at the counter that I should have made an appointment rather than walk-in. The staff and dr had both failed also to inform what needed to be done and did not ensure that the necessary tests were completed that day. Incredulously, I received a call two weeks AFTER the appointment to say that the check up was incomplete and was demanded to tell them when I can come down againโ€ฆI have not lost so much faith in a healthcare clinic before.

Booked a health screening package with StarMed and one of the worst thing I hated was the invitation of a student to observe the consultation session with the doctor. First, the doctor did not ask for my consent and just told me it was his student. Second, during the consultation, he asked me to take off my clothes and lie on the bed and I had to politely ask the student to leave, something he should have done since I am a man and the student was a young girl. After a couple of weeks, I had a follow up to discuss the results and again there was another female student and again without my consent discussed all my issues with cholesterol, eating habits and telling me I was fat. Felt really disgusted with the whole incident and would never recommend anyone to StarMed. In fact, I shared the incident with my colleagues and advised them to go to other hospitals where they won't feel like they were being experimented on. PS: The only bad experience I had was with the consulting doctor. All the nurses and assistants were outstanding and professional with their service.

Visit the GP on 25th August morning. The young Chinese female nurse with long hair has bad attitude, not as good as rest of the nurse (except for short hair nurse as well). But her attitude very good when talking to her colleagues. Luckily the doctor is very nice, I think is Dr Chin. Hopefully next time is previous nurse here to do the registration.

Convenient location, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I did my full health checkup and got everything done quickly. What I really liked is that they occupy a few floors in the building and have all the necessary machines in one location. Denise their CSR manager was also a great help in getting my insurance payments sorted out. Highly recommended

My mum was admit to A&E on referral by clinic for suspect on acute glaucoma. Dad accompanied her on a Monday afternoon. Upon reaching, A&E revert that eye specialist was not around and needed to wait for 2 hours. After inspection was informed she needs to be admitted to hospital for observation upon treatment. Hospital could not even provide a bed for my 70 years old mum and had her sitting on a wheelchair in pain for hours, when she is even suppose to be admitted for a night. More ridiculous is that the hospital instructed that my dad (76 yrs old) to administer the medication as he is accompanying my mum. Only if he is not around, then the hospital will instruct a nurse to do so. 5 medications with all different administration, what is SGH thinking. We had to leave her in the hospital alone not knowing what is happening to her. I would expect our Singapore Hospital to have much higher standard of service then such.

I wanted to post a positive review in encouragement for the staff working at SGH emergency in the midst of this pandemic. My mum was admitted to SGH A&E the last few days for appendicitis. Like many 1-star reviewers here, I was initially frustrated by the 'seemingly' slow diagnosis and execution of surgical procedures. However, I've realized upon speaking with the doctor that they are facing a lot of emergency cases, some way more serious and urgent than my mum's condition. It is very hard from the patient and patient's family to understand why they cannot receive attention from the medical staff asap but from the A&E's perspective, they have to put patients on a priority queue - the most serious cases have to receive immediate attention and let the less urgent cases wait. It is only with this strategy that they can save as many human lives as possible. My mum's surgical plans was put on hold when the surgeon had to leave for another more urgent case last minute and the change had placed a significant stress on us not knowing if my mum's inflamed appendix may burst while waiting for her medical care. My mum has been discharged today after a successful operation and on hindsight, although it was very hard to do, we should have more faith that SGH emergency would have done their best for my mum and every single case that has been admitted to their department. Thank you SGH emergency for saving my mum's life. We are eternally grateful.

Commendation for all doctors & their juniors, nurses and medical staffs from SGH's Department of Emergency Medicine. 05 June 2022, Sunday โ€” Registration, Triage, ECG, redirection to Critical Care Bay 13, Blood Test, Chest X-Ray, Heart Ultrasound and Covid Swab and was done within an hour. Ambulatory ECG was also attached on my body thereafter. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป (based on urgency of condition) A familiar face came by after midnight and I had recognized her to be Professor Fatimah Lateef whom had served as a politician till 2020. She was polite and respectful when interviewing me, had duly called for an admission due to the irregularities of my BP and PR despite having been on bed rest. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป While waiting for a bed in the ward, I had witnessed a patient that had many clarifications to make and required a lot of attention and reassurance. She could not grasp the concept that was being explained and lamented about the system & processes in the hospital. A young doctor (wearing Black Sling Pouch) had displayed adequate level of emotional intelligence and had eventually received words of appreciation from the patient before she left for discharge. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป THANK YOU VERY MUCH to the doctors & their juniors, nurses and medical staffs for the impressive service provided. Keep it up! ๐Ÿซฐ๐Ÿป I am finally discharging today! ๐Ÿฅน

How this place can be one of the โ€˜bestโ€™ hospitals in the world escapes me COMPLETELY. Poor souls spend >24 hours (with no clue of getting a ward) in a cramp, completely overwhelmed A&E, with lights fully on 24/7, rickety rusty old beds, no food, not even a place to place the belongings you brought in, dressed in whatever you came in. Absolutely a crime against humanity. The people who run this place should be criminally charged. Beds overflowing to the corridors and common spaces. One of the worldโ€™s best healthcare systems? I guess deceit and lies are the best tools of SGH. Absolutely PATHETIC. And the lack of information is appalling. Due to the mess that this hospital is in, they can delay your discharge for many many hours and as a result overcharge your stay. No wonder they call SGH a death house.

Been to A&E dept of hospital several times for, arm dislocated, bleeding, accidental injuries, I had been complaining like any 1 starrers here for putting in long waiting. But finally understand when my mother who seems not serious but was given the 1st priority, ie breathlessly asthma; then i realize the priority of A&E is for patients who have life threatening & not the degree of pain of one suffering. And i want to thanks all the staffs here who help in my recent admission for their deliciated attention, those 1 of them still have room to improve.

I was confronted about using a shared bicycle outside the hospital premises when 2 security guards confronted me and demanded I give them my particulars. They became aggressive and argumentative when I told them I preferred to see their manager. Took out phone to video them shouting and threatening. The 2 guards tried to snatch the camera then deliberately shoved me to the floor in the process and broke my arm and damaged my hand. Was hospitslised. Couldn't work for nearly 4 months already still in recovery. Hospital spokesperson and security company Aetos denied full responsibility. NMPs and ministry ignored issue. Hospital wants a non-disclosure agreement to be sined if any compensation is made. Police investigation still going and the hospital refused any access to footage even through legal means.

I visit A&E alone with a very bad gastric at 3am. The nurse or the doctor at Triage ask me about my pain score, I told her 10/10 meaning is the maximum pain I got plus I am feeling giddy and had double vision but she ask me to walk myself to register and waited to consult doctor. Then after that, I am treat like a normal cough and flu patient waiting for minimum 3 hours. I understand I had to wait in A&E but I don't think it is up to the extent I got to hold on my pain score of 10/10 to keep on waiting.

My first visit to this clinic because I needed to take sinovac vaccine. The customer service process is nonexistent. Clinic staff including the guard gave no or wrong instructions. For starters, guard told me to wait outside for a nurse to receive meโ€ฆ I was trusting enough to follow the instruction but ended up waiting for 10 mins and past my appointment time, only to see no nurse ever came out. So I decided to walk in myself against the guards instruction. Similar lack of attention persisted after I went inside. In summary, I arrived early for my vaccination appointment at 11:30 am and ended up waiting around for 45 mins. Please tell me whatโ€™s the point of an appointment? Vaccine took 2 mins; monitoring took 10 mins (when they said it should be 15 mins). In general not a place that inspires confidence or trust.

Very unprofessional. I came back to get my testing result on the appointment date, but was only then told by the receptionist that the doctor is half day and some more wonโ€™t come back to this clinic due to COVID. I have then to be rescheduled to another day with anther clinic which is very far away. (If I know this would happen, I wonโ€™t even come to this clinic at first due to the distance) My time was wasted. Staff here should at least ensure that patient has been notified on time for any changes.

I attended the clinic for a health checkup. Dr Yee, the radiologist and the nurses were experienced, professional and efficient at their job. I only wish I could say the same for the receptionist Denise, who had none of the above qualities. She was rude and lacking in professionalism. That would still be fine but for what happened while I was making payment, during which she made unnecessary and insensitive remarks about my private matters. Her remarks were overheard by a room full of people and it was very embarrassing to me. For this reason alone, I would not really want to come here again.

Waited more than 45min for some painkillers and scheduling of future appointment. Patients that were after me already left, while I'm still waiting... Inefficient and a mess. Went in for a cat bite wound as instructed by a doctor at polyclinic. From triage, to consultation, x-ray, minor surgery and reception, everyone was excellent. The staff were caring, respectful, comprehensive and clear in their explanations. The doctors and nurses really put me at ease. Waiting times were long, but you can see that everyone is busy and doing their best. Thank you for a professional, competent and caring experience.

I had the misfortune of needing to go here yesterday evening, but the dept runs like a well-oiled machinery. The staff are efficient and know what they are doing...from triage, to MO, to X-ray, to my eventual ENT referral...the ENT was calm and skilful and confident in the face of an anxious and difficult person, namely, me. ENT handled me very well, my excuse is my very prominent gag reflex and my personal anxiety...I am terrified of fish bones in me...anyway, the staff in the A and E deserve more than a Google review...a performance bonus will be nice and they really deserve one! Keep up the good work! To all those who complained about the long waiting times...the problem is everyone defines "Emergency" differently...leading to the A and E managing more than "Emergencies"...

Overall its okay. Pharmacist, nurse or GO attending/whoever responsible must explain medication clearly. Was unfortunate to go at time when they were probably too many patients. Entry Registration, triage was smooth. Xray takes humungous time , and meeting GP even more and if require nurse support for dressing etc your gone. Plus its chilly, dull color looking walls and no decent options for beverages/eateries around. Hope they have funds to renovate and make it more cheery. Visited afternoon around 4 pm on 13th Apr 21. 5 stars for the support staff at entry to get you on wheelchair properly and exit. Very prompt, pre-emptive folks. I had a fall and sprained ankle, may be for smaller injury like mine, perhaps there are better options, to save on time. It being large, centrally located hosp, expect it to have lot patients always.

Been here 3-4 times. So far my experience was great. So my younger sis was sent to A&E by Ambulance and her neck was giving her a very hard time. My mum approach the station nurses but as they were bz attending other patients so they just acknowledge just like that. (But after few mins they attend my sis) But the call centre was the most helpful. OTP she explains to me everything and transferred my call to the right dept. Great job! And thank you so much.

While I won't say I loved the place, it is a hospital that I visited late at night while on holidays, but I was very well treated and felt better so that's what counts for a hospital.

10/10 stars for service and professionalism! The nurses are very friendly and fast in responding all my inquiry. My appointments are booked through WhatsApp - very straightforward and easy. Dr. Chin has been the most reassuring and caring doctor Iโ€™ve seen. I have been many places for health screening and Starmed is my only choice since I started 3 health screenings ago. Thank you for the excellent and efficient service! Please continue all the hard work and service behind the counter :)

The doctor are well trained and very experienced. But the staff. Omg. Very slow and unprofessional. The waiting time is so long. Keep telling me there is one more patient one more patient. How long must i wait. This does not look like a specialist hospital. Look more like a normal clinic. Even ask us to come earlier. Whats the point? I come early also must wait like 1hours jus for a review. Stop taking more money while the service is horrible poor.

My experienece with them trying to book an health screening was terrible to say the least. Sent them an email on last Friday 23 July, followed up with a call which was diverted to voice mail, and till today which is the 28 July, I still dont get anyone to follow up. I noticed they keep asking cleints to call them or send to their info email, but what is the point of doing this when they don't sincerely wants to follow up??

Service is really bad. The recep will shove you around on and off. Asked for referral and recommendation and all I got is you can call any specialist with the referral letter. Wish I never went there. Blood boils.

Bad experience on services. 1. The customer service never returned my IC after verification, I only realised that after I left the centre for hour, I called them immediately, but they asked me to come back another time to collect the IC as it was Sat which closing at 12pm. 2. On the day of medical report review, appointment made at 1030am, After 25 mins, I asked how long do I need to wait for? The customer services person in charge just tell me still got 2 patients waiting in front of me unfriendly and without feeling sorry. Then I only able to go for review at 1130am, which is 1 hour later. The review only took 5 mins. So I waited for 1 hour for 5 mins review. Obviously this centre lacks of Doctors. There is only one doctor to do medical checkup and also medical report review, surely it will be late. Please learn to be punctual and increase the quality of customer services.

Many thanks to the A&E Team caring for me on 28/6 for your care. I was admitted due to dangerously low blood count detected earlier at the clinic. Your expertise made me comfortable in a time of fear. Thank you!

My mum has a history of UTI. Admitted to hospital for 2 weeks, they ran scans and tests but didn't find out cause of why she's not peeing and has constant diarrhea. Sent her home with a catheter. 2 weeks later she has sepsis from the kidneys not working due to the UTI. Now admitted to CGH where they actually gave her emergency dialysis. If SGH DOCS have caught on her kidneys were failing then, she would not be looking at possiblity of long term dialysis.

If youโ€™ll like to get a worsen illness, visit SGH A&E. This is the worst hospital in Singapore in my opinion. Pls do not visit their A&E, their staff lack of empathy and are totally not interested with their work. When we were registering, it states that the waiting time is 4 hours. We waited 6 hours and still did not see the doctor. There was a male obese Indian grumpy nurse with a black wig that was extremely rude. He was a senior nurse and I could tell that he totally canโ€™t be bothered about his work. The registration counter informed me to tell the nurse about the symptoms but when this senior Indian nurse was serving me, he didnโ€™t even seem to care whatโ€™s my issue about. Nonchalant and plain rude without any sympathy. Next, they kept saying that itโ€™s a very busy day today and yet I could not even see any sense of urgency in their work. Some were strolling around calling out names , using their phones , slacking in the XRAY ROOM and at 4am, when I could no longer wait any further, I went to the payment counter staff to return my file, we saw that the staff was actually FALLING ASLEEP INFRONT OF HER COMPUTER. Please check CCTV at 4am if you do not believe me. This is the kind of standard we are seeing in SGH. Imagine seeing patients quivering in pain and seeing car accidents victims with blood oozing down the whole leg, having to wait more than 6 hours, I could see that their blood has already clotted, whatโ€™s the point of A&E if speed is never a concern for the hospital? My sister brought her baby to SGH when she was having a fever at 39 degree and the nurse said โ€œ thatโ€™s nothing we can do, there are babies coming in at 41 degree โ€œ. Overall worst experience and I will never ever make any wrong judgement by coming into SGH ever again. Had I saw the review before deciding to come SGH, I will never ever had stepped into it. A total waste of my 6 hours and nothing was done. Worst quality of medical โ€œprofessionals โ€œ Iโ€™ve seen so far. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž

I seriously hate the SGH A&E department! Why ? There are always a lot of people and not enough chair to sit . Everyone is coming with their family why canโ€™t they make the place bigger and more sitting space . Patience come with wheel chair and some even use the handicap scooter! Seriously after so many years still didnโ€™t improve much . If due to Covid or worry about Covid than there should be some open space sitting area . These days due to air borne diseases and virus the hospitals should have some sitting area outside - that is a logic thing to do :( I seriously think there should be a 24 hospital around and not just a A&E department! Since singapore want to be number 1 than there should be a next level of medical care . It allow people to see the doctors at any time of the day . Doctor can take shift .all departments should be about the take shift work rather than all off days on Saturday and Sunday - is totally not practical!! If want to be number 1 in medical care than there should be an improvement on the healthcare industry!! So many years people are complaining about the A& E department than why the Government donโ€™t take any action !!

This review is nearly half a year late. A big thank you to nurses Tan Yi Jia and Chew Lai Ho for attending to a heavily pregnant me promptly on 19 May 2023 and helping to remove my rings due to pregnancy swelling. Even the registration nurses on duty that day were so kind and showed so much empathy. I was attended to within 15 minutes upon registration. You ladies are such angels! Thank you so much๐Ÿ’•

Suddenly I felt pain on my left eye and visited. The lady in front of the gate held me for 15 min to ask whether I have a running nose or not. Even she was looking for her colleague because she couldnโ€™t use the computer and issue 2 wrong barcodes. Registration lady kept singing in front of me. I thought she was out of mind. And kept waiting and waiting. It is not A$E.

Had a positive experience with the doctors here โ€“ they were all experienced, professional, and friendly. Didn't feel like I was being rushed out of door. Spoke to Dr. Tan, Dr. Chiang and Dr. Chin. Really grateful that Dr. Louis Tan took a lot of time to thoroughly explain my examination results to me and he also answered my questions, which might sound like no-brainer questions to those in the medical field, without any tone of condescension. The clinic is also really clean and they provide some light refreshments (bread, porridge, drinks, biscuits), which really help if you need to wait. The clinic also allows some degree of flexibility to the screening packages here. I do feel that the receptionists on the ground floor aren't as friendly as the doctors though but the persons managing the clinic's WA account and phone calls are very accommodating.

I have been calling the clinic the whole day but was on leave a voice message and we will get back to you. Trying to book appointment for my pre employment check. It's so frustrating.. Strongly not recommended since its so hard to even get an appointment not to even mention nobody pick up the calls.

I was diagnosed with hernia by Dr Shanker after 2 other doctors (not part of Starmed) were unable to do so. He was also the surgeon to fix my hernia. I am still not 100% recovered, but can say for now that all has been well. Dr Shanker and his team, foremost Felicia, who I have been in contact with the most, are extremely forthcoming on medical and organisational matters, very professional and just really friendly. I felt extremely well taken care of and can tell that Dr Shanker did a great job. I highly recommend him and his team.

nice doctor and experience. nice ambiance except for the short haired staff of dr. chin..OMG. almost 2 years she still the same attitude. also scolding patient what to do acting she's a doctor. telling her im a just a patient and no idea what's happening on their side. never also contacted me or call me in advance for my next appointment as dr told me for almost 2 years. if you have personal problem gurl don't put it to your patients.

The nurse can work better in serving patient. they work very slow, and when i ask to help filling in insurance form it takes ages. when i call to check on the insurance form, they dont really bother. im really disappointed, dont said you are a specialist centre if you cant treat your patient specially.

Dr. Khoo is very good and explained things clearly but front desk staff service is poor. i. Advised us to go for scan but did not mention that need to fast becos of that need to wait 3 hrs at the scan center ii. We were given an appointment for followup checkup on day but I think in their system they booked a wrong day. When we came as per the date given to us, we were told we dont have appointment. Becos of this had to wait more than an hr to see the doctor. iii. After seeing the doctor the waiting time is longer to make payment and get the letter. There are more staff than the patients waiting but not sure why its taking a very long time. Its not just for us but I noted the same for other patients as well.

Came here this morning for my health screening. Dr Chin Koy Nam is a GEM. He is extremely patient and reassuring, he makes the whole consultation session at ease. I even plan to arrange for my father and sister to see him for blood pressure management. Clinic nurse is very friendly and proactive to help as well. Thank you for the effective service rendered. On a side note, this building is very comprehensive. They even have a surgery and endoscopy centre.

Be prepared to wait for 6hours min. for A&E, unless youโ€™re dying. Otherwise just book an appointment for a specialist referral. No different from visiting a hospital overseas w the wait time. Also Covid โ€œsymptomsโ€ get seen first, so good luck waiting. 1 more patient before you and youโ€™ll get seen 1-2hrs later still. LOL

I'm 9week pregnant with first kid At 6:00pm i noticed my bottom bleeds a little , decided to come to SGH A&E for immediate help since is nearer to my place . The nurse informed me will be waiting 2hour even when i told them im pregnant and bleeds . At 6:20pm , got a doctor to do simple checkup for me telling me everything seems to be okay . But need to wait for GYNAE to come and attend to me soon ( ultrasound and stuffs ) ensure baby is fine . So i wait from 6:45pm all the way till 10pm still no GYNAE came and attend to me . Is there only one GYNAE that is available to attend to all pregnancy cases at A&E ?

Giving a 1 only because 0 is unavailable. It was an incredibly disappointing and unsafe response in what was supposed to be a "priority 1" case according to their own Emergency guidelines ( please see their website for the differentiation in cases).

Worst horrible experience in SGH for both in day surgery + Emergency dept ... ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก As I was scheduled for a day surgery on 1sept 22 but I experience a failed anasthesia doc from the OT room before surgery for who cant getting a proper canlula drip as I been poked n poked for many times in both arms ..maybe a inexperienced doc or it may be due to my small veins and but the next day causing me with a swollen painful with rash right hand .. Making me phobia of seeing the drip needles getting poke... The worse part is after surgery no medicine despatch to patients and I got to self collect at the pharmacy with long q + waiting time.. . Secondly, 2 days after day surgery I went back to SGH emergency dept because I got complications+ bleeding from the wound .. I understand I was given pioroty q to see a doctor ..its a fast q seeing doctor .. but mess in arrangements of pre admissions after seeing doc there .. Next is the worst terrible waiting time for admitting into wards..I waited almost 8hrs ++(2++ to 10 pm) with pain and bleeding there ...- staffs/nurses r rude n not helpful type ..When asked any inpatient bed available but being rejected by all nurse answer is full house or No beds available even say may sleep few days in emergency dept unitil bed available ....Really can't believe Y r u all asking a post surgery case patient waiting n waiting in emergency dept for so long hours .. Really can't believe ..OMG .. but pioroty beds was mostly given to them elderly aged patients going up to wards .. i can't believe lol.. But cant gave to a proper ward to a patient suffering with post surgery case with bleeding/pain wound... Finally.. after much request n asking for a bed @ around 10pm +++ a proper bed inpatient ward room was given upstairs to rest ...haiz I don't recommend SGH .. services glven are bad and failed ..๐Ÿ˜ง

My mother in law was sent to A&E and later admitted to ICA/ICU. Staff there were all fantastic. Upon admission Jocelyn Chan who helped us with the admission etc was very nice and patient with us. She deserves more then 5 stars. We know when a person is genuinely kind and serves from the heart.

It was a very bad experience. The nurse will kick you around like a ball when you wait to see someone and ask for something, they will say this is not in my right, you should ask for the nurse station, after that the nurse who in the nurse station will going to tell you this is not his right also, so confusing who will have the right?? We have been waiting 8 hours in the A&E, however we never see the doctor, not event the nurse station also don't have a nurse. We can understand their job is very hard and though, but it's unacceptable for patient. Who is responsible if the patient is not treated in time and their condition worsens or becomes irreversible?
