A rare combination of verdant nature and seaside pathways in one area, Labrador Nature Reserve is great for a picnic, walk or run surrounded by great elements of nature. The seaside path is windy and relaxing, and great for a cool down (depending on the weather) after meandering through the more humid forested trails nearby.

What a hidden gem by the sea. The dense greenery park is a hiker’s delight, with a little hilly terrain and historic artifacts for exploration. The portion that borders the seaside is great for the young and elderly. We often brought my 94 y.o. MIL for walks here - it’s flat ground with guardrail. No access problem for wheelchair either. Not to mention some wild roasters and chicks around for extra entertainment 😊

Feb 2024 Singapore A great park with jogging pavement and a broad walk that link to the several condominiums. The jetty is now opened, and people with passion in fishing offer a good spot.

On one of the morning when we arrived. There is this peacock showing off.. He was fanning his tail feathers and moving about. Really proud of himself. The chickens also joined in the fun. It lasted for a long time. Maybe 2 hrs. This is very beautiful. We have very nice natural animals n birds around this area. The free roaming chickens are fun to watch too.

I love this Park. Kids and pet friendly. Good for having picnics. Playgrounds are not crowded over the weekend. Toilet facilities are well maintained and clean. You can also go for a walk up to the 6 inch Gun and learn a bit of history. Wild chickens are almost everywhere and makes the place more entertaining for the kids. Usually breezy and there's a lot of sheds incase it rains.

Lovely place with manicured boardwalks facing pretty blue waters. There's a replica of the Dragon Tooth Gate rock which got destroyed during Singapore's development and a few remnants of bunkers and outposts.

A very chill park looking towards the sea. Quiet and not very crowded. Nice place to have a jog or even a little walk.

Compared to the East Coast and West Coast Parks, Labrador Park is smaller and has fewer amenities. Add to the fact that it's not as accessible as the aforementioned parks, and the result is a quiet place to visit. Even on a Saturday, I could feel a sense of tranquility that was obliterated by screaming kids and throngs of people in the other parks. I really enjoyed the walk to the jetty, stopping there to enjoy the sea breeze and watching the anglers fishing. The park actually leads to the Marina Club, by way of a nice promenade of several condos along the way. This is a recommended walk for those who want some peace and quiet.

Was here about 7ish in the morning. Lovely view of the sunrise, the lizards having a swim as well as amazed by the luxurious yachts. The park was breezy, clean and easily accessible by all. Public transport is also available.

It's a beautiful park by the beach side. Great for all kind of activities be cycling, skating, jog, nature walk or want to have a zen moment by the beach side doing your yoga routine or perhaps meditation, I would recommend come here atleast once to experience it. Most importantly this park has it own history so I would strongly encourage come and discover this place.

Enjoyed the serenity of this place both in the forested area where there were some war memorial sites (mainly gunpoints and hideouts), and along the waterfront. Dragon’s Teeth Gate and the beacon were a must-sea as well. What’s more, you could take a stroll all the way to Keppel Bay/Keppel Island, and Harbourfront at the same time. Highly recommend for a chill weekend walk!

Situated in southern Singapore lies the natural reserve known as Labrador Nature Reserve. A wide range of plant and animal life can be found within its 10 hectares of space. The HMS Labrador, captained by Sir Stamford Raffles, arrived in Singapore in 1819, hence the reserve's name. In 2002, it was designated as a nature reserve to preserve the wide variety of plant and animal life that thrives there and to give locals and visitors a place to relax in the outdoors. The coastal habitats in this reserve range from rocky coasts to sandy beaches to mangroves. There is a network of pathways across the reserve that allows visitors to walk through the various ecosystems. The views of the sea and the surrounding scenery from the hikes are breathtaking. The Berlayer Creek boardwalk is a feature of the reserve since it winds its way through a mangrove swamp. The mangroves are home to a wide variety of plants and animals, many of which may be seen up close from the boardwalk. Collared Kingfishers, White-bellied Sea Eagles, and Oriental Magpie Robins are just a few of the birds that can be seen by tourists. The Labrador Battery and Fort Pasir Panjang are only two of the many World War II-era landmarks that can be seen within the Labrador Natural Reserve. Tourists love these spots because they provide them insight into Singapore's military past. In sum, Labrador Nature Reserve is an exceptional location that gives guests a taste of Singapore's rich history and natural splendor.

Labrador Nature Reserve has a distinct, dual nature. On one hand, it has an unparalleled water view overlooking a distant Pulau Bukom. Traipse along the coastline, breathe in deep the salty and salubrious air, bathe in the warm rays of the tropical sun amid the azure sky. On the other hand, it holds a deeply historical nature, deeply nested in a nature's trail, detailing WW2 cannons, ammunition bunkers going back to 1892, and several other relics, hinting at a colonial past. Seldom will one find such a juxtaposition: one where the bluish waters meet a green landscape; where the modernity of seaborne vessels contrast an array of historical artifacts, bearing precious lessons to Singapore's posterity. All of these are within 20 minutes of casual pace. Above all, the peaceful solitude one obtains here is, perhaps, the best reason why one goes to Labrador Nature Reserve.

Tis is one of my favourite seaside park...during the 70s it's a muddy land n now it's transformed into a clean strolling nature park though it's hve 2 children sand playground is a nice n quiet place to enjoy the scenery whr there's a fishing jetty too.... recently there's a portion of landslide it's still under recovery no worry it's a safe place afterall....not forgetting the squirrels n chicken n if u lucky u see the peacock n monitor lizard strolling around like a mini zoo.

Labrador Park is accessible from Labrador MRT Station. It's a 15 mins walk from Labrador MRT Station. Can either walk along Port Road or via Berlayer Creek Boardwalk. It's a wheelchair-friendly and family-friendly Park. Children can enjoy the Playgrounds and the wide open lawn. There are many shelters around, in case it rains. The Park is shady and breezy as there many mature trees and a beach front. Plenty of parking lots around. Public toilets are readily available. BBQ pits are available for booking. Around the Park are remnants of the Park's past. The Red Beacon at the western end once guided ships into the harbour. The Obelisk marks the most western limit of the harbour then. Machine Gun Bunkers and Fort Pasir Panjang up at the cliff was meant to defend the Southern part of the Island during Colonial Singapore. Further down the eastern end is a long jetty that was once used for oil transportation, but now open to public access and is a great place for fishing. There is a replica of Dragon's Tooth Gate (original was destroyed by the British to widen the Harbour), that once stood as a navigation guide on the eastern side of the Park. A long stretch of Boardwalk along Bukit Chermin rocky water's edge rans all the way to Keppel Bay Marina. Overall, breezy serene Park.

Not very big and still lots of people on weekends. Suitable for cycling but not a lot shelters. A small sandpit with playground. You can sit leisurely by the beach and see the beautiful clouds, the busy jetty, very comfortable. Not very easy to go for people without cars, you’d better call a grab otherwise need to walk around 2km to get to there.

Brought the family to the park and discovered that the place has been renovated. There is links towards the development reflections and a nice bridge has been erected for that. Saw many people fishing as well. Watch out for the roosters that roamed the ground.

Amazing park with plenty of history about Singapore. Nice place for walk or jog, beautiful coastal views, sound of waves hitting the shore and a great place to watch the sunset. Made another visit and it's pretty quiet on a Thursday morning. Nice to see seniors relaxing and the fishing enthusiasts at the jetty. 3rd visit on 28 Dec 2021 and surprise to see a beautiful peacock in the park

A good location for after work jogging or exercise. Beautiful sunset and scenery along the running trail. You can see many chickens (different families around the park 😝) Some of the turn can be a little tight for 2-direction running, so you need to be careful. Another perks is that, the parking here is easy & free!

Finally got a chance to visit this nature reserve, and was glad that the weather was kind to us - all cloudy yet not too humid. It wasn’t a long walk, suitable for people of most ages to come by. Upon exiting the mrt, it was a stretch of boarded walkway all through to the coast, which you will then be greeted by concrete floor or more boarded walkway as you roam around the nature reserve. Not too much to spot, but it’s definitely a great place to get some steps in - also consider taking an additional challenge by walking to Vivo City for a treat! 👍🏻

This is a super underrated place in Singapore. It has history, forestry outdoors, a nice beach area and playground. The best part was the history, you could literally walk up to the battery positions of the defending British forces and feel history come to life. It's slightly inaccessible but that adds to its charm! Drive here if possible, there are plenty of parking space! Come on an afternoon and chill out with your children and loved ones! Have a picnic too!

Small park connected to jetty (not in operation) and boardwalk to Marina /Keppel. Spacious grass patch for picnic. Squirrels, peacock, jungle fowls, white belly eagles were frequently spotted here. Wheelchair accessible, mostly flat roads but limited shelters. Good pair of walking shoes will help. A distance away to mrt and bus stop. Good to take private transport for easy access. Has Seaview but not accessible to beach.

This place was played a significant role in the history of Singapore during World War II, making it a great place for history buffs. Remnants of the past such as the tunnels and a fort enable visitors to have an interactive learning experience of the military history of the British rule during that era.

📍TIPS: Alight at Labrador Park MRT Circle Line - Walk a short distance and go in by Carpark A. There is a long stretch where you can see the Guns Placement area. You will end at carpark C where it near the sea, dragon Tooth area and Toilet. 🍭Definitely a Great Place to be near Nature. The restaurant and place of interest is no longer there. Those buildings are still around and deserted. 🍭I just feel that Nparks or NHB do better in maintaining this area with such rich Historical value. Similar to Katong Park, I feel location of Historical sites are not well maintained, flooded with water, leaves and maybe mosquitoes too. No photos for those. Too unsightly.

Good place for afternoon walk; starting from the mangrove swamps all the way to the jetty. You can enjoy both the green nature as well as the turquoise sea; listening to the sound of the waves as a walk towards the jetty. On the way back from the jetty, you can take a different secondary forest route; enjoying the sounds of insects.

Excellent park perfectly combining military history with modern exercise and kids playground needs. Size wise, covers a huge area ranging from jungles up a hill (where the military forts are) to flat grass areas by the water, which include the kids playground and bbq areas. During COVID circuit breaker lockdown the paths only remained open for exercise, with hopefully the other parts reopening soon if not already.

Great place for a way, park is not very big so there is no bike rental. You can also find my historical fort here. Good view to unwind. There is a also a trail up to tamarind hill. Bring your own water and food did not see any vending machine. Quite a distance walk from main road or Mrt. But considering the fact that the park not very big actually is quite manageable.

Nice and serene park with Singapore’s history behind it. You will find a machine gun post in the park amidst the children’s playground and beautiful sea view. There are bbq pits and some shelters for families to use. The park is a 15 minute unsheltered walk in from the Labrador Mrt train station. Just walk past the furniture shop and continue walking in, and you will be able to see the signs. You will be rewarded with a nice view after the long walk. There are sufficient toilets around too. But do arm yourself with mosquito repellent or stickers as there are a lot of mosquitoes around.

Great place for a walk, scoot or cycle. Of cos, cycle will take you much further than this little park. There are nice benches for you to enjoy staring into the sea or into each other's eyes. Shelters for sudden downpours and toilet for sudden urges. Great food nearby too, short cycle or drive away. There are more people enjoying the parks now. But as long as everyone stays responsible towards the environment, the place will stay nice.

One of the best trail in urban Singapore. Its not as longer as Macrichie but very scenic. It ranges from a long wooden jogging track to a beautiful park which further leads to a private ship dockyard. Avoid if you don’t like humid path or don’t feel good around dense trees. Getting perfect pictures is a sure thing due to to so many unique picture backgrounds. Not suggested for short term tourists but if you live around you will get addictive to this one

Quite a nice park with much history to learn. Unfortunately, not much of its history are sign posted. Those that are sign posted referred to colonial history. Could have been good for the park management to have included history of post colonial times. This park takes you, via a long boardwalk, all the way into the Keppel Harbour where there is now a Keppel Marina with very expensive yachts and condos around.

Great and Beautiful place for a walk. Loves the waves beating against the shores. A good place also to learn some history of Singapore.

We stayed at Villa Samadhi specifically with the intention of exploring this nature reserve. We started from the Tamarind Hill road then took the private road into the part then onto the trails. As usual, everything is well signposted, but some of the trails were cordoned off (maybe not repaired because of COVID lockdowns). But it was a good walk in the forest - not hot at all, and in sneakers (so have to avoid the occasional puddle) and shorts so very comfortable. We went at the top of the hill parallel to the coast to explore the gun battery and mounts (and climb all over), then took the long way down (which ever looked more adventurous). There were a few people walking but the crowd in the main forest area was thin. Then we got down to the coastal side and there were quite a few people enjoying the sea air and sea views (given this was COVID time). Very pleasant walk but it did start to get hot. We walked all the way to the rocky shore and out to the tip of the jetty. Quite a few fisherfolk there. Then a nice long walk along the coast round the headland to the Bukit Chermin broadwalk and in front of the condos all the way to Harbourfront. Great walk!

Fresh air, good for morning jogs or walks with the dogs. Enjoy bits of Singapore history as this was once a WW2 site for the British battery (guns). Remember to respect and enjoy the space. Do not litter or smoke.

Beautiful park by the sea, where there is great scenery and breeze. Evening runs here are great as there is always a nice sunset view to catch 😍

Very nice place to exercise, have your morning or evening walk. Not too crowded and no distractions from any commercial attractions or foods stalls. A purely get away from the bustling city experience to a serene and peaceful environment where you also can enjoy the cooling sea breeze when you are walking. Try walking towards the direction of Vivo city and sentosa , halfway you may wish to exit to the side entrance of THREE PEACOCK ( BBQ BUFFET ) if you are there around the dinner time and decided to give up your exercise routine for a hearty meal of seafood , meat and sushi bites. By continuing further , you'll be met with a good amount of nice boardwalks that lead you the posh residential section followed by a jetty docking area where all the nice yachts are. If you feel hungry by now which is approximately 4km from where you had started ( the big open carpark ), after crossing the bridge and you will reach the another restaurant towards the end that will definitely satisfy your stomache but be prepared to pay more since it is operating in such high class area.

“Singapore was once an impenetrable fortress”. I encourage everyone to walk the forgotten paths. Labrador Nature Reserve’s steep history mark the height of the British Empire’s power in Singapore from its founding to the British surrender in 1942. We remember the brave men who served to protect Singapore. These artefacts and bunkers continue to remind us of their sacrifices to keep Singapore safe.

Nice park for lunch time walk or jog for nearby office workers. It can start from Labrador MRT through Berlayer Creek Boardwalk, past the Dragon's Teeth Gate. Watch for monitor lizards or a peacock around that area. Since the walking path opens up to the ocean, it's popular for fishermen or folks just sitting, reading, having lunch, etc to catch a nice stiff sea breeze on hot days. There are covered sitting area or just pick a tree to sit under, and place to bbq.
