The food tasted great. It was nice to see that they prepared stews from different parts of the world. We were on one day trip, came from Amsterdam and we rented our bikes in Stavoren and managed to make a super nice loop with a lunch stop in Sneek. Stoof has table settings outside by the canal and as well indoor. It was really easy to find the place, it is just outside the very busy square, and still busy enough to enjoy people passing by. Also very handy that you can park your bike just on the other side of the canal at a bicycle parking spot and keep an eye on it.

Einfach mal anders!! Das Stoof kann über 150 verschiedene Eintopfgerichte aus aller Welt zubereiten, diese wechseln täglich. Das Ambiente ist geschmackvoll, die Liebe für's Detail zu erkennen. Auch wir haben verschiedene Schmorgerichte aus kleinen Töpfchen gegessen. Das Überraschungsmenü bestand aus Fisch-, Fleisch- und Gemüsevariationen, orientalisch, mediterran, italienisch und französisch zubereitet. Das Spiel mit Aromen und Kräutern ist intensiv und sehr bekömmlich! Der Service ist vorzüglich und sehr freundlich! Reservieren ist ein Muss!! Die Preise für qualitativ hochwertige Speisen sind fair!

Place where you need to be! Super delicious food. What we ordered was stoof only meat and only vege. Amazing journey though countries and their tastes. Everything was served professionally with full explanation about each pot. Thank you Dian for your hosting!!!!

A very nice and peaceful location. The meals were surprisingly good. We had a variety of meals. I recommend getting a bit of everything. It was flavorful and the amount was reasonable. Service was superb! Definitely recommend you visit this place at least once.

Wusste erst garnicht was ich dort Essen sollte. Aber eine Auswahl von Fleischgerichten verschiedener Länder Dabei gab es Reis, frische Pommes, Gusgus, Dampfgemüse, ein sehr leckeren Krautsalat. Es war alles sehr lecker und ich war begeistert. Das Personal hat hier genau den richtigen Beruf. Es wurde alles sehr gut erklärt. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder Essen gehen.

Tolles Restaurant, zentral gelegen, sehr freundliche Kellnerin und das Essen sehr, sehr gut. Wir waren heute zum Mittagstisch dort. Eine überschaubare Auswahl mit leckeren Gerichten. Preis-Leistung passen hier sehr gut.

Die Bewertung setzt sich wie folgt zusammen: Essen ⭐⭐ | 5/5 Wer Kulinarik liebt, muss hier gewesen sein. Wir hatten eine Platte mit zehn verschiedenen kleinen Töpfen, von Fleischeintöpfen über Gemüseeintöpfen war alles dabei. Es gab auch eine Art Apfelkompott, welches süßlich schmeckte und rot gefärbt war. Der Fisch war auch sehr lecker und die Remoulade passte perfekt dazu. Der Chardonnay war auch sehr passend, ein Panacotta in drei Geschmacksrichtungen rundete alles ab. Service ⭐⭐ | 5/5 Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sprach teilweise Deutsch, die Wartezeiten waren sehr angemessen. Ambiente ⭐ | 5/5 Sehr gemütliches kleines Lokal mit Außenbereich.

Sehr, sehr lecker. Einer der wenigen Restaurants in Holland die man empfehlen kann. Unbedingt die Eintöpfe essen. P. S. Das Sambal ist schön scharf.

Sehr nette Bedienung. Essen sehr verschieden, schmackhaft und sehr reichlich. Ambiente sehr schön. Für mich etwas zu wenig Licht. Aber daß macht dem alles keinen Abbruch. Ich kann es weiterempfehlen. Hier wurde auch nach Lebensmittel Allergien und kulinarischen Vorlieben gefragt

Es war ein Fest! Zum dritten Mal bin ich nun im Stoof gewesen. Heute zum ersten Mal mit der Familie. Wir wurde freundlich und herzlich wie die Male zuvor begrüßt und bedient. Die Stoofproeverij ist für alle, die sich trauen etwas unbekanntes zu probieren. Wir wurden bisher immer positiv überrascht. Wir haben Gerichte aus der ganzen Welt kennengelernt, die wir sonst wohl nie gegessen hätten! Einfach toll. Gern kommen wir wieder, sobald wir in der Nähe sind. Toll!!!

Nice concept for a restaurant. We took the stew tasting (you can still choose whether you want fish, meat, vegetarian, or a combo) and all dishes were really great and tasty. Kind and attentive staff, the owner makes you feel very welcome!

We were visiting the Netherlands on vacation when my family and I ate at this restaurant. The food is fantastic! This is the best restaurant that I’ve ever been to. The food tastes very fresh and you can tell it was made with care. The owner is friendly and passionate for his work. I wish this restaurant was in my hometown because I could see myself coming multiple times to try the diverse selection of stews they offer.

Amazing and a wonderful surprise. If you like a variety of cuisines and food that is just simply well done, you can’t go wrong with Stoof. All four pots were fantastic, with the pumpkin curry with cashew nuts a real revelation. Highly highly recommend.

Spectacular place. Food is amazing and so various that anyone will find something for sure. The personell is super nice and gentle, and the place is so very clean and beautiful. They speak really good German too!! Prices are just right!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Near the canal and has inside and outside tables. Most of the meals comes in pot, and you serve it to your own plate. It is an interesting service style.
