A facility with so much to offer but gives so little. I want to write a long post about my experience here especially the ridiculous and unbelievable bits but if you chose to stay here just know I cause of its past glory. Green legacy can be beautiful again and offer so much more, I wonder why it is being buried really fast.

A lovely place for both adult and children, very spacious and neat, lots of groovy spot around the place, beautiful rocks and nice landscapes, if you visit in evening you might not be allowed to see the animals but there are other side attractions like the bamboo groove corner.

OOPL wildlife park is a good place to be, they have quite a number of animals, but there is still room for more. The park is easily accessible from the resort, this make it easy for the guest at the resort to visit the park

Visited this park on a whim and I enjoyed my 1-hour visit. I got to see a bunch of animals like lions, hyenas, monkeys, baboons, etc. The animals look well fed and taken care of and so would make a great place to take your children to learn.

OOPL Wildlife park is a wonderful initiative that has done what it was intended for and more. Though the park could do with the addition of more animals, the animals at the park are a great source of exposure for both adults and children. The first of its kind. The park is well laid out, neat and the guides and security are well trained to assist visitors. If you visit Abeokuta or you reside in Abeokuta, do not hesitate to seek out a time out here.

This place can be aptly described as a one-stop fun and relaxation centre with arrays of exciting features such as amusement park, games, hotel, event centre, wildlife park, boat ride, kayaki, museum etc.

I had fun at the wildlife park!.I saw hyena for the first time in my life. OOPL wildlife is a lovely place to be Its environment is so clean, spacious and safe for both adult and kids. However I will recommend more/diffrent species of wild animals in the Zoo. Gate fee :500

I didn't expect to visit d zoo to see duck and goat. The animals looked sick and inactive. Its not worth to be called zoo. The environment is cool and quiet.

Amazing resort in the heart of Abeokuta. Beautiful and well planned. It's a perfect destination for company retreats, family & friends getaway, lovers vacation and any other fun and relaxation related activity. The room service is also top notch and standard. This is also a one stop shop for all form of activities you may be looking for; wild life, cinema, gym, all-day restaurant service and so much more. Lovely and I recommend.

One of the best places to lodge and have a great scenic experience in Abeokuta. Located just adjacent to the Presidential Library, it sits in a strategic position facing the Presidential Boulevard. Has two entry and exit ways, a swimming pool and also a wildlife park and outdoor leisure area underneath bamboo woods for relaxation. There's also a lounge and the rooms are well-maintained especially for the price being offered. There's ample parking space and very spacious arena. Pictures are allowed and access roads are in great condition. My experience here was really good!

Green Legacy Resort, Abeokuta: See 42 traveler reviews, 59 candid photos, and great deals for Green Legacy Resort, ranked #2 of 16 hotels in Abeokuta. Some of the more popular amenities offered include free wifi, a pool, and an on-site restaurant. Β free parking is available to guests.guests have access to a pool and a fitness center during their stay. Lovely facility, great ambiance. The fantastic place really. One can get everything done within just this one facility. Really great food and service too. Plus the kids have a whole section to themselves with inexhaustible games.

First stay at the Green Legacy Resort in Abeokuta and I was not pleased with the services. The rooms were in bad condition (chipping paint), leakage in the bathroom, bugs and ants in the bedroom, gaping holes on the wall (patched with dock tape). I requested for a room change, and I was offered a room worse than the first one (bathroom has no shower curtain), room appears unkempt, wardrobe (closet) door would not close, holes on the wall, etc. The main lift (near the reception area) was out service for more than three days without repair. I had to walk up and down the stairs on several occasions - well, I lost three pounds πŸ‹οΈ πŸ‘πŸ‘. The air conditioning system (reception area and the hallway) was out of service - receptionist can be seen sweating and they appeared to be helpless. The facility needs a major overhaul / maintenance. On the good side, the on site restaurant was very good. The foods, drinks, and the servers were just right πŸ‘Œ. Room service was a little pricey, but worth the cost. The restaurant employees were very friendly, prompt and polite. Also worth mentioning, there is a sense of security within and around the resort. Vehicles are checked in and out. Guests are not just allowed in without the consent of the person they are visiting.

The location is perfect with all the different recreational and entertainment experiences. The rooms are well maintained and the room service response top notch. If you are the type that loves to take different moments in photos, you will get a lot. With the room comes complimentary breakfast, wildlife, museum and library visit. There is a mountain of inspiration where. All these attractions are within the same location. There is a suya spot for nice, hot suya. On Sunday, you can have a worship service at the church, and there is a mosque fit for the Muslims. I want to visit again. You could book ahead and arrange a tour. There are good discounts during the festive periods but you have to book ahead because of the rush. Some maintenance needed at rooms - auto door key and the toilet/bathroom (WC, shaving mirror, shower top)

High points: Great location, warm and helpful staff, delicious meals. The OOPL was an amazing experience although the 'cones' weren't working and the entrance pavillion had lighting issues which took away from the overall experience. The wildlife park was awesome. Areas for improvement: maintenance. Rooms especially bathroom floors weren't too clean. Balcony was dirty/very dusty. Overall, if you're looking for wholesome family vacation or weekend getaway, I'd recommend it

The location is amazing, the atmosphere is quaint and charming. The resort itself has a lot to offer. They have hills to climb, a zoo, a presidential library, pool, gym. So much to see and have fun. And free breakfast buffet! The rooms could be better though, we didn’t have some essentials in the room. Like enough towels and pillows and no smart TV! Disappointing.

Looking for a peaceful place to relax and chill? This is the place. Although we didn't book a room, we came to use the amusement park and the pool. Fee for amusement park was N1,500 and it's just for kids. The kids had so much fun even though the merry go round wasn't working. The N1,500 gives the kids access to all the rides. Now to the pool. It was really clean and wide. An entry of N2,000 is required before you can enter. Renting of swimming wears are necessary if you don't come with yours. It's N1,000 for men and 1,500 for women. They also have a pool for kids. The adult's pool is from 4ft to 6ft. It was really spacious and we had so much fun.

It was a terrible experience. The light kept going off. I was stuck in the elevator twice and they were proud about the whole thing. After paying the full balance. I will definitely not recommend it to anyone. I regret coming here.

Staff seem friendly but the facilities are badly maintained and the ambience is awful. On our first night they played very loud music into the from afternoon when we checked in till 4am!!!! Unhygenic meal area and service points. There are points of interest especially for families with young kids. The service and hotel facilities seems more like a motel than a resort. Definitely not recommended for over night stay.

Nice Place to visit and relaxe. Maintenance Is A Little Behind And Room Ac Is Very Poor But Fixed When Called Or Informed. Restrooms Need to be touched modified to fit resort standard And Its So So Bad For A Resort Os Such Standard Not Having A Working Air Conditioner At The Reception And Lobby Or Indoor Rest Areas 😀😀😀. Buffet On The Weekend Is Not So encouraging! Since you have to wait too long to restock. Grill House Staffs are so rude and lazy except for one man Ekundayo Asiwaju. He was exceptional And wonderful at his job. Always willing to help and assist but the other ladies at the Grill House Is A Nope. Thumbs Up But Can Do Better

The Green Legacy Resort is another home away from home. Located in the ancient city of Abeokuta in a serene environment where you can never get enough touch with nature. There is the Zoo, Rock of Inspiration, Boat Ride Bamboo section for relaxation, Grill House, Casino and most importantly the Swimming pool. It has spacious rooms for your comfort. You would love to revisit the place.

The exterior of the building is wheelchair accessible and that's what I always look for in all buildings. The inside is also quite cozy. Although, I'm yet to lodge in a room. I have only been there for brief meetings. I'm guessing the rooms will also be wheelchair accessible.

Positives: Staff are courteous, breakfast is good, lots of activities to choose from. Negatives: The accommodation needs a lot of attention. It's is lacking maintenance. We had to move rooms 3 times in a day. The first room had a leaking air-conditioner. We couldn't contain the smell of the second room. Note, both rooms were superior rooms. We had to upgrade to the deluxe room which was the 3rd room. Not a bad place for anyone who just wants to sleep and wake up.

The hospitality is not good, there are not many rides in the amusement park and the duration of the rides are not reasonable, the cinema does not show good movies on weekends, the wildlife park doesn't offer a tour guide which makes it less organized. Overall the place is overrated

Have stayed here when it first opened but seems maintenance culture is inadequate. Had issues with my air conditioning so it was a pretty warm night. The view from my window consisted of old air conditioning units heaped up for repairs or disposal. Though I love the concept of going green in their facility, I'd take an alternate hotel for now.

  • 4/5 Peik B. 1 year ago on Google
The Green Legacy Resort is offering a very quiet, serene ambiente. The political affiliation aside, it was at a time well thought out. Unfortunately a lack in overall management leader to the hotel facilities' deterioration. Carpets are dirty, walls are filled with cracks filler and never painted again, paint is fading. A lot of people run around in the attempt to assist, but senior management who should provide direction and task allocation seem not to be as proactive. Under normal circumstances this resort would not deserve more than 2 stars, would it not be for the fine (untrained) young men trying to serve as well as they can and the supreme location "under" the Olumo Rock.

Totally totally enjoyed my stay here. The location is proximal, environment is serene, rooms are reasonably priced, food was really good and really affordable. I enjoyed a tour of the resort, there's so much to do. If you don't do anything, definitely go on the tour of President Obasanjo's library, it'll be a very rich experience. Wouldn't recommend the zoo. There's also a cinema. Perfect for a budget holiday not far away from Lagos. This place needs more publicity. A solid 9.

Nice outdoor facilities, cinema, zoo and serene environment for walks, gym, swimming pool, enough parking space. My room was stuffy and had the smell of a house that has been locked for a while. I had to open the doors and windows for fresh air.

Beautiful environment, this resort is one of the largest I've been to in Nigeria, it's got a fun arcade for children, a swimming pool for both children and adults, and the famous Obasanjo international standard library is also located on this resort, there is a functional Zoo there. Located on the roof of all the parking lots are solar panels generating electricity for the resort. There are various room sizes available too from chalets to double rooms with connecting doors for families. I know for sure the double rooms come with complimentary breakfast. The members of staff are courteous and professional. They have a shuttle bus that takes guests to and fro Olumo rock. The package I went for also comes with a boat cruise. I had an amazing time. I fully recommend it to whoever is looking for a resort with interesting options for the entire family.

A serene environment and dutifully polite staff. Great place to visit anytime. Maybe some bathrooms might need maintenance.

I think the only minus is the restaurant service for buffets because if you go 30mins after service has started, there is almost no food left and not replaced. Everything else is great!

The ambience is great especially in the night. Highly suitable for tourist activities. Noticed some needs for infrastructure repairs, though

Good and quiet place, ideal for holidays, getaways, conferences, and meetings, so much in one place, zoo, wildlife Park, amusement Park, boat rides, and then the presidential library, I realy enjoyed my stay in Abeokuta

It’s a very nice place with a lot of views. You can get a room for relaxation, gym center, pool bars and restaurant. It has a cinema in the same environment and parks for children and adults. It has a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking space. Cars pack are available and they also have nice approach to customers. You can also easily walk in to make enquiry about their hall for event. It’s a 5 star ⭐️ for me

Green Legacy Resort is interestingly a home to nature and history. The resort has so much activities going on in it. There is a wildlife park which is well taken care of, I must say the animals here are cared for too. The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential library is found here at the resort too and it holds an interesting historic collection. One of the historic items that stood out for me were the duty stamp and currency of Biafra. The prison cell of President Olusegun Obasanjo was recreated with some of the items used then in it. I particularly liked the gallery of the late Stella Obasanjo, it had some of her favourite attires and pictures.
