Love this park, it's shame you can't take dogs in but then the wildlife is good because of it. The river runs through the park and if you go early in the morning on a sunny day you'll see the foxes sunbathing on the Riverside. There is also a pond with ducks, herons and a water feature. Great stuff for such a small park. Be careful at night, it's very dark and seems a bit shifty when I run through there sometimes.

A bird paradise, has lot's of flowers around the fountain area. Really calming to sit on a bench looking at the canal and listening to the birds. Two things what I could see as minuses: the park should get some investments to renovate the fountain area and the playground. Also, sometimes some dodgy looking people are passing over. People with dogs shouldn't go there either as they can threaten the birds and their habitat. The owners still don't respect this. I love dogs, really!! And for them, there is a dog park close by. Please take your cuties there, rather than this park, just to respect and care about this urban oasis. Also better for your dogs too. They can socialise there. :)

A wonderful little gem in the local area! I am so happy the river banks have been cleaned up and now I can walk along the bank trail! Found some nice Robins and Blue Herons! I did see a couple of King Fishers but they were so fast I just could not photograph them! plenty more breeds of birds to see! I'd definitely recommend this park!

Great park with a river running next to it; many birds such as herons, kingfishers, egrets, ducks and other waterfowl make their home here. There's also a duckpond and fountain at the Deptford end. The local friends of the park do a fantastic job maintaining it. Be careful though, as there are criminal elements here sometimes; hence it's best avoided in the evening. The council need to do more to tackle this.

Brookmill Park runs parallel with the Ravensbourne River, its also a nature reserve. Its a fantastic place for a gentle walk or exploring the river banks. I visited with my 4 children and they loved it. Cycle paths, bench's there's a lake and plenty of places for a picnic.

The geese here shrink to tiny little ones each winter til the summer air warms them back to full size. So cute!

It's a path that connects Lewisham to Deprford Bridge and is along a river. It has a kids playground, a garden with benches and a fountain, a pond with ducks and a bike lane. It's an enjoyable 20 minutes walk between the two locations. Around Lewisham, the path enters some houses blocks and the suggestion is to stay on it until the end otherwise it gets a bit complicated. The toilets are closed, unfortunately, and sometimes the pedestrian and the bikes lanes cross or narrow so be a little more cautious.

Quiet little escape from the busy streets of Deptford and Lewisham. Plenty of seating as well as grass to lay out on. Play areas for kids.
