I had been driving for the last 13 hours. When I arrived, the front desk attendant asked me if I had a floor preference. I told him that I didn't care which floor my room was located I just needed a quiet room because I needed to sleep. I was assigned a room steps from the elevator across from the ice machine and staff utility room. It certainly wasn't quiet. That was quite disappointing. However, after losing one of my keys, I had to go back to the front desk. Luckily for me, there was a staff change and that's when I was introduced to Marcel. What an asset to the hotel! I was exhausted, grumpy and just needed to feel comfortable. Getting comfortable took a couple of tries. Marcel never demonstrated impatience, sarcasm or consternation. He was extremely helpful and solution driven. He's the personification of true customer service. Thank you, Marcel!

This hotel was better than I expected it to be. Upgraded spacious rooms with very nice wall decor, comfortable beds, free breakfast, and nice lobby. Only thing that went wrong was the elevator being out of order one morning. But it was fixed by the afternoon/evening. Not sure if that happens often or not. If you're just looking for a safe place to sleep and not concerned about great views or nearby restaurants, etc, this is a great pick. Overall this hotel is worth the stay and I'd stay here again.

Not what was represented in the pictures or their website. The room was absolutely massive but the floors were dirty and there was unfinished drywall in the bathroom. The reason for me booking this room was because they said they had EV charging, it is non operational. I was stuck in this dump for two nights with loud neighbors screaming at their kids while the smell of pot seeped out of their room. Do not make the same mistake I did, stay elsewhere.

I checked into the hotel with 3 under the age of 11 years old girls which was my daughter and my nieces and also a friend, everything was going good until my car was stolen out of their parking lot. I am 4 months pregnant, they did not give a care in the world of my situation. I work for best western myself and their service here SUCKS especially the General manager. He lied in my face when I asked to extend my stay with my discount he told me to go on the member web and book a room. Considering I couldn't view the cameras on my car being stolen and broken into when I parked right under a camera. No one not even their parking lot security guard was paying attention. I have never been treated like that when I was 2 hours away from home. I had 3 kids with me and being pregnant on top of that you would think they would have more sympathy but no they didn't especially him. By the grace of God everything got better. Then the second night we stayed a big storm hit and all their power was out. By far the worst best western I have stayed in. Starting with their management. Although the management sucked on taking control of situations, the front desk staff in the morning was amazing, she talked to me and calmed me down I appreciate her I didn't get her name. Also the housekeeping staff there is amazing. The rooms were very clean.

I stayed at this hotel 7/14-7/16 and unfortunately there were a few car break-ins during my stay. Even with this occurring, I am compelled to give Best Western a five-star review primarily because of their exceptional staff. I know a lot of places would have shy'd away and made excuses but they took accountability even though it was something outside of their control. From the moment we checked in, their professionalism and genuine concern for our safety were evident. Nothing of value was taken and the staff took extra precautions and offered advice to ensure we felt secure during our stay. Their attentiveness, responsiveness, and friendliness was outstanding, and they were always ready to assist with any inquiries or recommendations. Despite the external events, the hotel's cleanliness & amenities, added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Best Western, as their exceptional staff truly made a significant difference in ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The hotel is located in a good area. The staff were friendly. The room was decent, no bugs, all the amenities as stated when booking. The only thing I would say is cleaning can be more thorough as there was hair on the nightstand, the top of the refrigerator was dusty as well as the vent in the bathroom. One of the towels had hair on it…. However I always bring my own towels. When I checked the bed for bed bugs and the sofa bed there were wrappers and/ or crumbs which can certainly attract bugs if not cleaned better. Also noticed when the room next to me flushed their toilet my toilet made a sound. The shower water first night was hot, second night just warm.

After an exhausting 16-hour overnight drive from Texas, arriving at Best Western was an absolute blessing. I stayed in one of the king size suites and I was greeted by a pristine and inviting space that instantly helped me forget about the long journey. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident, providing a sense of comfort and relaxation. Despite my fatigue, the lady at the front desk had a warm and friendly demeanor which made the check-in process a breeze, and her genuine care for my well-being was heartwarming she was also hilarious which is always a plus. The next morning, I was delighted by the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options that helped me kickstart my day. The staff here truly understands how to cater to tired travelers, and I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional experience they provided. If you're seeking comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding hospitality, look no further than this remarkable hotel!

Hot breakfast was terrible. Eggs, sausage, and bacon were all water logged, soggy, and sat in water. Was the same for 3 days straight. Waffles were gummy and bland. There were other pre packaged foods that were edible like granola bars and cold cereal. Over all, our breakfast experience was surprisingly bad for a new hotel, and management should consider restructuring the menu and the way the food is prepared because wet bacon is not appetizing. Also, the elevator on the right side was clicking as it moved and did not sound safe. At one point we saw a random wire on the floor of that elevator and decided not to get on and waited for the left elevator to arrive. The indoor pool is closed indefinitely which is disappointing, especially when traveling with kids who love the water. The rooms were comfortable although they could benefit from a deeper cleaning, especially under beds and behind furniture where dust, hair, and dirt collects. The motion sensor light in the shower was cool. The staff was friendly and efficient and took care of our needs.

I have very mixed feelings about my one night stay here. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and helpful. The only miscue involved the breakfast which is scheduled to be open at 6am and wasn't quite ready. The lights were not on, the mini fridge was still locked and the watch protein wasn't fully heated. They do have a decent hotel breakfast though. Our room design was very nice. I appreciate a room with a desk, mini-fridge, microwave, hangers, iron with board, a couch and coffee table. It was very utilitarian. On the other hand, the freeway noise was not trivial. I was surprised all the pillows were the same small but tall size too. Usually there are a couple choices to choose from. The oddest part of the room was how warm it was when we checked in late in the evening, especially the bathroom. The bathroom must have been at least 75 degrees and the water coming out of the faucet was almost steaming hot, even when it was set to cold. The water cooled down briefly in the morning before we went to breakfast but was unexplainably hot again afterwards. This isn't a bad option, but if I was in the area again I would consider alternatives based on my experience.

I stayed here while in town on business. I saw that there were whirlpool tubs, so I booked a room. I was given a room, right by the door. It was a nightmare and nothing could be done due to the hotel being booked. I asked to be moved and was unable to sleep nights because the traffic was so busy in and out the door right outside my room door. I overslept checkout and they probably charged my card for another day 😩😩😩 Such a horrible experience for such a good looking opportunity to relax.

Honestly, I was not very impressed. I've paid less and stayed in nicer hotels. They did offer Breakfast, but it wasn't something to motivate my business again. Breakfast was ok and had scrambled eggs, sausage, ham and the usual cereal and waffles. The price was also steep when smelling weed in the hotel. Beds and rooms were nice, but I don't think that the smoke cleaning fee is taking care of anything.

This Best western plus hotel location was about 30 minutes from downtown without traffic. Good value for your money compared to other places. A lot of stores nearby for everything. The room we got wasn't so clean unfortunately. There was used tissue paper behind the bed and UNO playcards that previous people left. It was late at night and I was tired to complain. I was really only there to sleep I was sightseeing most of the day. Other than that everything else was OK. I really liked the motion sensor light in the bathroom. The renovations done are sadly subpar. The pool is currently under renovation. One of the elevators would make lound noises when in use, it was scarry at first but then got used to it. The breakfast got the job done nothing special. Front desk guy was nice. P.S. make sure to always lock you car, especially here. A lot of theft going around. They even have a sign outside that says they are not liable for anything stolen, just fyi.

We arrived in Chicago early but since the parking lot was near empty, we checked to see if our room was ready. The young lady said housekeeping hadn't even come in yet. She then says oh I have one but it's gon be $20 extra. I wasn't paying more for bad service but my mom wanted to check in, so we did. The room had an awful dank smell like it was old carpet in it but had newer hard wood floors. It was weird. Breakfast was pretty good, just needed a starch to go with the eggs. For it to have been the most expensive in the area, I would have expected a better experience. Forgot to mention the couple next door who argued and fought ALL night. Throw the whole stay away.....except for the waffles.

My first time being here and I loved it. My room was clean staff was nice and I had absolutely no problems here. This place is quite no ghetto stuff going on here at all. I’m definitely coming back soon.

Clean, comfortable rooms with couches and newer beds. Breakfast selection included a nice variety of hot & cold food items; breakfast staff was really kind and on top of caring for the area. Hotel is located near lots of dining options.

The rooms were beautiful and as clean as could be. Felt very safe and very comfortable. Room was also spacious and the bed was comfortable. Not a bad area either. But still conveniently accessible to the part of the city I needed to be in

The hotel is under renovation, the entire 3rd floor and pool closed, but still, in business. If you need a hot shower and a quick place to get some sleep quietly, then this is the place. Not Family/Kid oriented.

Marcel was absolutely amazing! After an insanely long day outside working, Marcel took care of an issue In regards to our booking that nobody else at either of the first two hotels we tried to stay at could do. After over three hours of not being able to figure out the issue with our travel agency, Marcel called them personally and got everything taken care of. The hotel itself was comfy and breakfast was great! We were VERY happy. Much love Marcel you the man.

Everything was ok nothing special. Rooms were. Clean bed comfy. The only bad thing was the wifi was terrible it would stay in 2 mins and go right out so for a business stay I would not recommend this location.

Gennifer provided above and beyond customer service during our stay. We decided to drive to hometown for the holidays from AZ and early check in was a breeze. My first time staying in a Best Western hotel in years. The hotel chain has stepped their game up. Lol Rooms are clean, up to date, and well kept overall. Clock has wireless charging and multiple electric outlets in room. Body towels are newer and oversized beach style a plus. The noise level and environment is pretty chill. Gym is a nice size with up to date machines and weights. The pool is closed at the moment but it’s winter. Lol Breakfast was usual continental style with cute waffles best western logo on them. Parking was not an issue during this stay. Definitely will return when on this side of town.

I was going to leave a 5 star review because this was the first hotel that I found in the Chicago area that told me over the phone that I would be allowed to bring my support Chihuahua without paying a high deposit. However, the next morning right as I was coming back from walking the dog, the overweight Karen that was working the desk at 6am stopped me and told me that no animals are allowed in the building. She called the manager and had him already on speaker phone before she stopped me at the door. All this was after I had already been there since the previous afternoon and through that night walking the dog several times that day directly in front of the office staff. I even checked in with my dog sitting right next to me. The manager said that it was impossible that I was able to check in with the dog. I told them that I had already spent the night so I asked them what they were planning to do. I was already set to check out 5 hours later so they didn't pursue the issue any further but I thought it was weird that this Karen felt it necessary to call the manager at 6am like it was some kind of emergency. As if there was a wild Chihuahua on the loose terrorizing all the guests in the hotel when the reality is that my dog is very quiet and well behaved.

Wifi was spotty. Pool being renovated. Television service down. Elevator made some pretty crazy noises going up and down. Overall a little disappointing for a Best Western Plus. Probably stick with hilton after this.

This weekend I attened, their were 6 car break ins! All inside of the parking lot of this hotel! The police officer who arrived let us know that the hotel next door is very bad, and this hotel does not have lot security! I spoke with the hotel manager and he told me that there was nothing they could do to help me. It is not their duty to protect guest vehicles from vandalism. Please stay somewhere they care about guest safety!

Very new and clean. Great service. The only downside is the pool is closed to renovation but I assume it will look as nice as the hotel when it's done.

The staff was kind and greeted us every time we entered the building. Room was clean. The room temperature was easily adjustable. The bathroom came with towels, toilet paper, 2 bars of soap, 1 shower cap, 1 sample bottle shampoo, 1 sample bottle conditioner, 1 sample bottle of body wash. Along with large squeezable bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower, and hand wash at the sink. Breakfast was easy and decent. Television came with many channels of English and Spanish. The television guide is on a channel. Alarm clocks offer Bluetooth charging to iPhones and Droids. The ice machine was easy to find. The pool was closed during my visit (1/20-1/22). Bring your own pillows, the pillows on the bed are not very big.

We stayed in two double-bed room. Two adults and two kids. For the price and location we had a blast, we got our money's worth. Believe me I've had some experiences. Very comfortable, clean sheets, clean blankets, sufficient towels, adequate toiletries. Breakfast is second to none. Customer service is excellent.

Great overall experience. Clean rooms. Quiet environment. Staff at front desk were friendly and accommodating. Even stayed an additional night for a little extra comfort and rest. My only complaint is that the pool is currently closed.

After a long day of flight cancellations and the original hotel I booked being disgusting, Marcel made sure it all stopped when I arrived here. The room was clean and Marcel was great. These days it’s hard to find good customer service, after my stay I can truly say it’s not lost.

WOW!!! Newer hotel just opened back in December and still smells like NEW!!! Very cool vibe!!!! Everything is like NEW and super clean/spacious too!! Marcel the manager is incredibly personable and hospitable!!! Looking to meet everyones’ needs!! One of the nicest Best Westerns that we’ve been too! Looks newly renovated.bstaff very nice rooms are nice with comfortable beds. Elevator could use a little maintenance since both don't sound good and one doesn't come level with the floor. Good food options nearby. Would stay again.

While I believe that there is always room for improvement, I still found this to be a well run establishment. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and approachable. Upon our arrival, the GPS instructions became confusing because there is no street sign at the corneryou are supposed to turn. ( turn right at Maxwell's Grill. The street is called Frontage. But as I stated, there's no street sign.) So we finally ended up having to call the hotel. The young man we spoke with got us pointed in the right direction, and greeted us with a smile when we got to the front desk. I wish I had gotten his name. But it was about 5pm on 10/14. The room was nice. My wife and I enjoyed our stay, and will return. I recommend Best Western Plus South Holland.
