Visited in the morning, there were a bunch of cats around, and a man who fed a couple of them. They have their own little cubby holes around this area so there will definitely be some cute cats around here. The friendliest one was a brown and grey striped one.

Lots of stray cats here. They’re quite hungry so if you can, bring them wet food and lots of it! There were probably 15 when we fed them. They were eating a bird carcass over the hard food they had plenty of, so if you’re able to feed them do so! Some of them are very shy and scared and won’t trust you, but one of the black and white ones that’s chubby is aggressive towards the other cats and hisses when they try to eat the same food. None of them were very keen to be pet.

Yes, it is a real thing. Spoke to a lady (Lucy, you’re the best ❤️), who is one of the caretakers of the cats. She and three or four other local people are making sure the cats are taken care for medically as well and talking to locals to raise awareness how to take care of cats, make sure the female cats get sterilised and feed them three times a day. So if you happen to speak to one of the nice ladies who take care of the cats, please donate so they can keep up the good work and are able to buy medicine and sterilise the female cats (at this point 9 cats need to be sterilised). Lucy, if you one day happen to read this: unfortunately it did not work 🥲

Cats take lunch break during the hot hours of the day. Understandable. Better to come in the evening. Bring snacks.
