Staff is nice, hotel is nice looking. The only reason I give this a two star is because of cleanliness. Just got here and there is hair all over the shower like it wasn't cleaned at all. Atleast 10 pieces of hair all over it. Blue marker stains on the bed sheets and not clean at all.

The beds are amazing! Soo cozy! The pillows are perfect! I haven’t slept this well in years! But let’s move forward to the stellar staff! Everyone in this place is sooo kind and helpful & you can see they take pride in their jobs! My daughter was with me and she’s stayed in very high end hotels and said this one was better that all of them. No pretense, just kind nice down home tender care. Very very clean! This will be our go to place. They LOVE dogs, & we brought 3 little ones. Breakfast had great variety & they even have cookies and lite dinner. Pool area & small gym w personal TVs. All in all it deserves all the awards you see in their showcase! 🥇

Great people at the front desk. Very accommodating & friendly. The worm was as you would expect; clean, comfortable, & fairly modern. The location is close to the highway so there is a little bit of noise. Nothing that can't be ignored. Breakfast was very good with lots of options & a burger joint in the same lot.

Great stay, nice clean rooms. The service was amazing, all the breakfast staff were so nice and helpful for our entire stay. Christiana was such a pleasure to meet and honestly made our stay so much more enjoyable! Would definitely return :)

Truly horrific experience. My son’s mother in law had to evacuate in a hurry during the Medical Lake fire. My son and his wife were with me out of town, dealing with my late husband’s funeral arrangements. We were driving in Portland but were able to go online and reserve a pet-friendly room at this hotel and receive a confirmation. When this poor woman, who suffers from the early stages of dementia, and her tiny dog arrived at the hotel, they were unable to check in because she did not have the payment card in her possession. Even after I talked to the front desk manager and confirmed the purchase information, he turned her away and left her to try to find somewhere safe to go on her own. He said “policy” required a signed authorization from me, even though the web site had already accepted my money. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY in downtown Portland traffic! I could not print any piece of paper in that moment. The poor woman was too upset by the whole situation to let us call another hotel for her. Be ashamed, Holiday Inn! Be ashamed, manager, who placed some asinine, antiquated paperwork policy over human decency in a community wide crisis. Would you want someone to treat your mother that way? Edit: I did get an electronic response to my initial review, reiterating their policy of requiring the physical card on check in. Would have liked to engage in a bit of conversation about it but the person sent it from a no-reply source. I do understand this is an attempt to avoid fraud but this was a community wide emergency. Hundreds of homes were burning up. Decent people and companies pull together in times like this. They go out of their way to help each other in a natural disaster, even if it means setting aside a bit of red tape for a few hours. I could have sent them their stupid form when I got where I was going. To turn away a woman fleeing a fire in such a very low financial risk situation is still disgusting and wrong.

This was one of the best Holiday Inn Express Locations we have every stayed in. We were there from Sunday night through Friday. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was awesome. The food was fresh and the overall cleanliness of the breakfast area was great. The pools were older but looked upkept. The cons were that it looks like the rooms and hallways are ready for an update. The ceilings had cracks in almost every corner, the couch was uncomfortable, the TV in the kitchen area had the wrong remote and all of the drawers in the dresser and kitchen were overall just dirty and the fridge looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in at least 4 or 5 stays. Nothing a Clorox wipe and 5 mins wouldn't fix but just not the way that you would want to start your vacation.

Great experience! The gentleman at the front desk was amazingly helpful. Wish I would have caught his name because he was great. He even gave us a coloring book packet to keep the kids busy. The staff was very prompt and friendly, breakfast was great, rooms are nice and clean. They recently remodeled so its a great location. They even do free food on some evenings. Next time we are in town we will definitely be staying here.

They're currently going through a remodel, but they were kind enough to upgrade us for the inconvenience. Breakfast has plenty of choices. Hot and cold and very kept up. Jacob at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with anything I needed. He made us feel very welcomed. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus except that they had far too much solution in the water, which made my eyes burn so bad I couldn't even enjoy for longer than 5 minutes. My eyes just watered and burned the entire time. They have dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in their spacious showers with amazing water pressure. Only downfall there is no bathroom fan, so your shower steams up the mirror for a while afterward. The beds and pillows were very soft and comfy. I am pretty picky on that so I was pleasantly surprised. Fresh baked cookies every night from 7-9pm is an added bonus. I would choose this place to stay again! Overall, I am pleased with our 3 day stay.

Excellent service. Our robotics team of ~25 rowdy high schoolers received a warm welcome when the hotel provided us with enough free snacks to last all 3 nights. The free breakfast buffet has really good sausages and omelettes. Rooms are in clean condition and showers have adjustable water pressure. Overall, these and other accommodations make for a very comfortable stay. Location is alright, with several restaurants nearby.

Last minute room . I wasn't planning on staying another night however I'm so glad I did and chose this hotel. Clean, quiet and so comfortable. Pool and spa were clean and laundry facilities were efficient. Will definitely stay again and I highly recommend to anyone whether passing through or vacationing!

Very clean hotel, spectacular service, super nice touch of the manager special including complementary food, wine and beer. Thanks to Dawn for the great service and hospitality! Excellent breakfast and just a fantastic place to stay in general. Will definitely visit again when we are in Spokane.

5 Stars !! The employees were fantastic, very clean new facility. We had a double Queen room, nice and big. Have to comment about the soaps, shampoo, lotions in bottles (not the soap bar or small bottles); very efficient on their part. Easy and clean. The breakfast was above the continental — eggs, potatoes, bacon/meats, pancakes, so much more. Everyone was super friendly, even the happy guests. We will stay here again.

On our several yearly family road trips, Holiday Inn is always our 1st choice when it comes to hotels. This one rates in our top 5 choices and will definitely stay at this very hotel on our next trip through Spokane. Clean, good location, MANY parking around the building. Staffs are very welcoming and accommodating. Free cookies (homemade I think), cucumber, orange or lemon infused water, complements of the manager if I remember correctly.

Son was staying for business and my wife and I were visiting him. In years past we had stayed there several times and the place is still a great place! Staff is great, the rooms are amazing. It is located fairly central in the Spokane Valley. Close to many attractions and amenities. Rates are reasonable and it is a very pleasant place to stay!

Awesome staff. We have a handicap daughter who is resistant to go in elevators. Julian walked my daughter into the elevator and to our room. The breakfast was great. They have a variety of food. Rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. Very nice place to stay.

I've had an amazing experience so far. I am a truck driver who broke down here in Spokane and will be here for a few days while my truck gets fixed. Julian was amazing right off the bat. Got me a room right away, pet friendly I may add as I have a dog with me, as a walk-in and has a knack for customer service he puts service with a smile first and foremost and is eager to help in any way possible, that man deserves a raise he is phenomenally kind and very warm. He even gave me a brand new tennis ball as a toy for my dog! My room and queen bed were spotless upon arrival, no weird smells or anything like some places, very very clean and well maintained room and bathroom. The hotel has a good feel to it and is well maintained. Complimentary breakfast (6-9:30) is always a nice ammenity, and for an added little touch they serve cookies in the evenings from 7-9 as a treat😅 Nice to have the pub right next door as well for some pub grub. Also nice to have a balcony at the hotel off of my room, that's not always a common thing. It's only my first night of a few but wanted to post this now because the first impressions have been great. So kudos. Great place to spend some time while broken down on the road. And as mentioned, pet friendly as well. First impressions are always key and you guys left me feeling great the moment I walked in the door so thank you! Makes a stressful and annoying breakdown a much less stressful and annoying ordeal. My company pays for it so I basically get a mini vacation here haha I'll take advantage of it since it seems like a great place to stay😅

I am on my Anniversary trip from out of state and am very sorry I stopped here. My husband and I stayed in room 404. The beds were uncomfortable and the breakfast was disgusting. How things can overcooked on the outside, be cold in the inside and be rubbery at the same time I don't know, but it was. The most disturbing however was the "kitchen" staff. I don't know if they were all having a hard day by 9am or what, but they were rude and stopped breakfast at 9am instead of the 9:30am we were told. The dining area was packed and we were told we'd have to deal with it, they were cleaning up. This was told to a very polite teenager who was in line in front of us. The pancake machine was acting up and the attendant beat on it complaining loudly that she hated it and wanted to throw it away. These are not things guests should have to deal with 1st thing in the morning. There were a bunch of teens present and a handful of younger ones, who does not need examples of that behavior! I do not abide rudeness especially when children of any age are present. Adults should know better and set a better example. Telling guests how much they hate things, beating things up, closing the kitchen early (they literally turned off the buffet lights even) and rudely telling guests to deal it is not ok. Thank God my children weren't there to hear it. I will not be coming back and will not be recommending to anyone. This was an overall bad experience on what should have been a enjoyable anniversary experience. We have been road tripping for 3 weeks, through 10 states and stayed at several Holiday Inn's and this was by far the worst. And don't bother trying to go to the pool or hot tub. We called on our way to make sure that it would be open, was told the time it closes and then its closed for repairs when we get here. Not worth the time it took to make the reservation, let alone the money we spent. I'm happy for those who hay enjoyed their stay here however this is definitely not how I wanted to spend the last part of my anniversary trip and definitely an experience that I could have lived without. I hope whoever decides to stay as a better experience than we did. Overall disappointed.

The gentleman that helped me on the phone and in person was AMAZING!!!!!!! He was super polite, respectful, accommodating and all around very pleasant! Love where the hotel is located which is a nice park of spokane with lots of stores everywhere!! Would highly recommend! I took off a star because I found good, papers, and hair products ask over behind the bedside table and it was dusty.

Front Desk personnel were friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the complementary breakfast. The location was very conveniently close to the freeway and restaurants. The bathtubs could use some extra attention. Housekeeping could be a little friendlier as well.

I really enjoyed my stay. We travelled with my daughters hockey team. The staff was amazing. The hotel was decorated for Halloween and had great atmosphere. They let us use the breakfast area for a team pizza party, which was great. My daughter left her prized stuffed animal there and they found it, took pictures of her lamb helping the housekeeping staff and then mailed it back to me. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Staff was amazing. Paid over $500 for 2 nights. The breakfast was like fire camp food. Powdered eggs, re warmed sausage, etc. Not much seating for breakfast. Overall not a $250 a night hotel. Avoid being ripped off. Booked this stay on booking.com. Employees smoking right in front of the front doors is a bad look. I dont know why places allow this.

We recently booked 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Express, Spokane Valley. Our room at first glance seemed ok, just like most hotel rooms, however, pictures are worth a 1000 words: dried soap scum on the body wash/shampoo dispenser, hair (2 kinds) on the ledge of the tub/shower, the bottom of the tub dirty and the shower curtain had mold and dirt on the bottom. Management moved us to another room the next day and credited our first nights stay. All the staff and management were friendly and helpful, but we will not stay there again

We booked this hotel while visiting our friends. The hotel is amazing. Close to the freeway, restaurants and shops. Customer service is great. All staff are nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean. We loved our room with the balcony. Everything you need is in a room: microwave, small fridge, coffee maker. Breakfast is simple but tasty. I loved the outdoor area next to the breakfast room and another one next to the pool where I could enjoy the sun while my daughter played in a pool. It will be our first choice when we come back again.

My husband and I stayed two nights while he was at a business event in the hotel conference room. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The landscaping company was working on the well kept grounds, the plentiful parking was close to the entrance, and the staff at the front desk greeted us warmly. We chose a room with a balcony and were glad we did because we could sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and view of the surrounding area. The hotel is conveniently located right off I-90. Although the neighborhood is full of restaurants, hotels, car dealerships and strip malls, I found a quiet green space with plenty of hiking trails at the Dishman Hills Natural Area only five minutes away. The common areas of the hotel were clean and inviting. We especially enjoyed the breakfast variety of hot and cold choices as well as fresh fruit. A nice surprise was the complimentary beer and snack offered Monday through Wednesday evenings and cookies every night. My husband thought the pool temp was a bit cool but he warmed up in the hot tub. Our guest room had the amenities we needed (fridge, microwave) but only one small bar of soap. Our main criticisms were with the bathroom. The wallpaper was peeling and the tub was old and discolored. We also would have liked a grab bar near the toilet which was way too low to the floor. I am not a fan of body wash so I used my own bar of soap from home in the shower. Otherwise we slept well on a comfortable mattress with great room climate control. Overall this is a great place to stay in the Spokane area.

This is a nice hotel. We have always enjoyed Holiday Inn Express. The staff person at check in was friendly and helpful but when I needed help later that night he was out smoking with friends. Seemed weird especially when his sign said he was called away to help someone. The beds were extremely comfortable and that's saying a lot because of my back arthritis. The breakfast was great as usual, and I really enjoyed eating on the patio. All in all, we would stay here again.

As soon as we arrived, we were met by a very sweet employee who asked if we would like some dinner. She served all of us and brought our food and drinks to a table. She mentioned to my kids that they would be serving cookies soon, and made them feel so special. The room was nice. Clean, comfy beds. Dove products in the shampoo/soap dispensers, which is a nice upgrade from standard hotel soap. The A/C unit was a little noisy, but nothing too major. The pool is cold, but the pool room is a very nice temperature, and the hot tub works! (Which is rare for a Holiday Inn). The pool and hot tub were both clean. The laundry room was clean and all machines were in working order. The fitness room was also clean and all equipment in working order. Great stay and awesome employees!

Same day reservation, clean hotel with nice breakfast. Loved the Bath & Body Works lotion. Provided me with a complimentary toothbrush because I forgot mine. I’m a light sleeper and didn’t bring earplugs. The hotel rooms are clean but you can hear your neighbors and people in the halls very well.

For high price paid I have expected for the room to be cleaned better. Sheets looked clean but has weird smell to it. They had friendly and helpful staff!

Great hotel! Clean room, a small gym, large pool, and great hot breakfast in the morning, with free coffee, tea, and cookies too. They have gone out of their way to ensure a good experience through great hospitality
