Excellent view, location and cleanliness. Excellent hospitality of staff especially food and dining. The food served was very tasty especially ‘Kashmir Yakhni’. Thanks for the complimentary bone fire 🔥 . The rooms where very good. We have an amazing time. We will surely come back and highly recommend staying at hotel lake resort.

Completely Avoidable :: A Vacation Spoiler. Unprofessional management with untrained but hardworking staff. The owner makes tall promises doing sweet talk with little or no matching action, is motivated to mint money, customer service be damned. The food offered is substandard. Repetitive menu is torturous. Do not go by the words 'Lake View' or misleading photographs. There are quiet a few other much better properties on the boulevard road which provide rooms with a fairly good lake view.

I went recently to Kashmir and was staying in this hotel the staff and management made so comfortable trip they organized my entire Kashmir trip gulmarg sonmarg pahlgham and Srinagar they had there own taxis plus experienced drivers who showed us all points about room those were neat and clean staff who was so helpful oh yeah about electricity they have good back up food awesome both veg and non veg I can say I just felt I am in my home very very pleasant stay every morning Mr sameer use to ask sir any prob pls say God bless him and one thing more as I was leaving the hotel I was paying tip to staff amazing and they gave sir we get good salary we don't need tips only u visit again that is out tip thanks and welcome

Everything was top notch Mainly the staff was soo friendly it was completely like a home to us, we enjoyed candle light dinner on the rouf top. We where also offered complimentary bonfire for few hours by the Managment and it was amazing. The food was tasty!!!! ❤️ we simply loved the stay and will recommend hotel lake resort to all…

Very ordinary hotel opposite to ghat number 1 with 5-6 rooms located in a sketchy neighbourhood. Dharmshala kind of rooms. No view from rooms. No elevator or any amenities. Away from the main road. No electric kettle etc. In the room. No proper room service. Dirty linen and poor management. No proper restaurant. Serve food on temporary open makeshift terrace dining area. Don't book it for breakfast and dinner as they serve very ordinary basic food. Total holiday spoiler. You have to walk around 100 metres as the hotel has no proper road access. Nothing like "boutique" or 3 star in this hotel, named only cheat customers. Please don't waste your hard earned money. No value for any worth

The worst experience during our 6 day holiday to Kashmir. We went as a family and had 2 rooms. When we landed at the hotel late evening and asked about room service, they said there is no room service and did not plan dinner for us. They have dinner buffet and as it was not part of the booking I was ready to pay too but they said they didn’t plan food for 4 more people. Reluctantly they agreed to serve dinner. Room doors lock - you need to be a locksmith to be able to open and lock the doors. No room heating and electric blankets installed do not work. Worst was that the power went at midnight and they did not bother to switch on generator. This repeated on both nights leaving the room in total darkness and you will have to hunt for the mobile torch to go to the toilet even. Definitely a safety concern. Since this happened on 2 nights continuously I confronted the manager / owner. He literally said after midnight once everyone has slept what is the use of power!!!! Seems like a regular practice to save money on diesel. At almost 5k per night this is a 3rd class hotel and I would not assign any star to it. In fact this place should be shut down till the issues can be resolved After all this fight and complaints the manager has the audacity to ask for tips at the end of the trip. Only positive I can say is the few boys working at the hotel were Gems. Very polite and helpful. One of them Rahail made a sandwich immediately for my son one night as he was not feeling well.

We stayed here for five nights with a family of 10 people and we totally enjoyed our stay. We had booked deluxe rooms and they are absolutely amazing. The view from the room was good as we could easily see the lake and Boulvard Road from the room. They have a nice lounge area where they serve all their meals. We had booked our stay including breakfast and dinner and the food was amazing. Hospitality is really nice as we felt totally at home with the staff specially Gulzar and Hafeez. We highly recommend this place.

Zero star for this hotel make my trip has booked this hotel for my family...dirty washrooms, no electricity horrible experience for me and my family. dinner and breakfast was included in our package but hotel staff has not served dinner when we asked for dinner they said ok we will serve the dinner after sometime and then they serve the dinner at 10 pm...hotel staff asked to finish the dinner fast because they want plates and bowls to serve the dinner to other guests....no breakfast no tea nothing. Pathetic hotel. .

Only choose this property if you don't have any other option and you have to. Management isn't good rooms are small and bed isn't cosy. Only good thing was decent breakfast.

The hotel doesn’t give any toiletries, our room door lock was defective- we had to call them every time to lock… it’s a very congested property without parking or garden… not worth for the money we pay… we had hot water problem during our stay… very minimal facilities are provided…it is not as good as it looks in the photos… it’s not close to shikara ghats… try hotel zamrud, heemal etc

Hotel Lake Resort is a great family hotel. kids loved running around the hotel property, playing, fishing, and enjoying bonfire on Dal Lake. All of these activities were completely unexpected and therefore greatly enjoyed by all. Rooms are spacious, renovated, colourful. The staff was very accommodating. The Location of the hotel is great, It is on an Island sounded by lake from all the sides. Just few meters walk from the main boulevard road. Initially we wanted to stay a houseboat instead of staying at a hotel but were told that houseboats where only good for one night stays. So we stayed in a houseboat for one night only and spend all other nights in this hotel and it was an excellent decision.

This is family hotel in very beautiful location almost I visited entire Kashmir but I got peace and my family enjoyed in this hotel rooms clean staff energetic hlepfull breakfast and dinner was excellant yeah I am pure vegetarian and they served me vegetarian food all I can say keep it up will visit same hotel asap

Location is worst, there is no road which leads to the hotel , you have to walk last 200m through a shady narrow lane. Food was horrible at breakfast. Upma on both days when I was there. Which was horrible, even tea and bread butter was horrible. Cant believe that someone can screw bread butter also, probably putting some random brand's butter. Also owner tried to give us smaller room, we refused outright so he gave us the room we had booked. Book only if you are getting it for 1k per night. Location is worst. And the garden you see in first pic is part of adjacent hotel.

Please Don’t even think of staying the location is a rundown house turned to rip people off in the name of Lake view. There’s no view. If you are women the walk to the hotel is dangerous. The room service was absolutely amazing people did everything they could to make our stay pleasant as they are not responsible for the horrible infrastructure. The owner is money hungry. If you’re stuck and the people are not complying call up the tourist department police station.
