My wife and I are new to the city, and were looking forward to visiting the Film House, as we are big cinema fans and, in particular, independent and foreign films. We were certainly not disappointed. The Film House and the PAC are absolutely beautiful. What an amazing facility, and brilliant to have them grouped together. The actual theatre area and concessions were clean, new and very functional. Great sight lines in the actual theatre, and the seats are nice and firm, and we really appreciated the ability to book specific seats, and not have to worry about getting them together. Sadly, there was hardly anyone there, and the movie was not particularly good. We will definitely be returning.

I really love what this place is trying to do, but they are just not getting there. The films they pick are excellent for stuff that's hard to see in theaters, but when I plan to see it at the film house, the movie comes out on streaming. They are just too far behind. The theater feels more like a classroom, so it is not an actual theater experience. I love the concession stand, though. Feels like old cinemas. One of the first to let you buy beer too! Put your films out sooner and get better seats! And this place could be one of the best theaters for miles

Went for the first time Sat Oct 22 to see American Werewolf in London. Very clean there are no bad seats. Not sure if it was because the movie was old or the theatre but no surround sound like you would be used to. The sound came out from the screen only. Ticket prices are fine but food and drink too costly. Will keep an eye on calendar as I expect to come back again. Overall the experience was good.

Very cool atmosphere. They play more art house style and indie films, the tickets are cheap and it's a nice quiet alternative to going to a larger movie theater. They are in my rotation of weekend ideas.

I absolutely love seeing movies here. The employees are really nice, the movie options are always interesting and more rare than your basic movie theater, and they play oldies! Seeing the Studio Ghibli movies on the big screen is such a treat. It's also never too busy and the bathrooms are really nice and clean.

Me, my husband and daughter went to a participation viewing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and it was Awesome! I wish all musical movies were singalong showings. It made the experience so much fun! Lots of people dressed up in costume. I hope they do it again next year.

This was a lovely theatre! The seats were very comfortable and it was a nice size. The popcorn was apparently delicious and they even serve beer (I didn't partake but still cool!) Lots of stairs but there are elevators so no worries there :)

I've been coming here for years, we're so lucky to have this place in St Catharines. Film list is very well curated, love the cult classics and 90s movies. Seats are well priced and concession stand is reasonable for a movie theater.

$17 for a plastic cup of wine! Are you for real? At a movie theatre?! Love he concept of this film house but the high prices may explain the low attendance numbers. Nonsense ripoff.

I attended the Tues Aug 16 show, Bohemian Rhapsody. While the theater location is excellent, there could be improvements once inside the building. There was an issue which delayed entrance to the show. No one shared the reason for this. People where lined up on the staircase, which did not seem like a very safe option. Several people had canes or walking aids, were there for almost 30 minutes, not safe. Not the best choice. There is ample room in the lobby to queue up people until entrance is available. Once inside and seated, the seat are comfortable and well spaced. The movie was excellent. Please rethink how your audience lines up.

A really nice, clean and well maintained small movie theatre that provides intimate viewings of indie and critically acclaimed new releases and classics. They also have concession stands that provide popcorn or wine or other theatre food and drink. The only downside is something that I experience every time I see a movie here which is that other viewers are disruptive and disrespectful during the viewing. I'm not sure if it's the intimate atmosphere that makes people think that they're watching a movie in their own private theatre or maybe it's the general audience that attends these movies (old baby boomers who maybe don't understand movie theatre etiquette). Whatever the case may be, it often dampers my experience while watching the movie. Overall I have to give this theatre a positive review because they often show really enjoyable movies that make me keep coming back.

The Film House always features excellent films many of which are not available in commercial theatres. It is often sold out, so purchasing tickets early is a very clever plan. It is often a very delightful experience.
