Service was worst in 3 weeks and 3k km SA. The food not a mentioning worth. We can definitely not recommend this place, neither was someone friendly to us nor could someone recommend a wine, even after telling us the one we chose was out of stock. As said the food doesnโ€™t even deserve a comment, quality absolutely bad. It was a catastrophe in terms of dinner - good we could keep our good mood while one waiter was constantly keeping up the table fires so eating in the dark was just partly reality. Never again!

Was not impressed we were misled on the menus available when we were seated. So we accept the tasting set menu only to see other food options going to other tables. When I queried this the waitress said you have to ask for that menu separately. Whoever thought that was a great idea needs to have a re-think. Just be open and honest it never fails. As for the food it was very good. I opted to forgo the wine pairing as I'm quite particular/fussy about my wine. The duck was a bit over cooked for me but overall it tasted lovely. The dessert includes a basil ice-cream which my wife found divine. We had a very pleasant evening but my food choices could have and should have been totally different.

Stopped by for a light quick lunch last week. Restaurant wasn't busy so I anticipated prompt, friendly service. Waited 30 minutes for a quiche with salad and still water. The worst quiche ever! Dry, pastry like cardboard and tasteless. The service was not great. I guess 35 degrees in the shade would do this to anyone.

Can't remember how we stumbled into this place (it had been a long day on the awesome wine tram!) But the food was fantastic, springbok I'd never had before either. Drinks were great too!

Probably the most poor service I've ever seen in service delivery. Stood at the door for almost 5 mins. No drinks orders for 14mins and then you tables are been cleaned when the place is not that busy, I won't recommend any of my future international guest to vist here ever. We seated ourselfs after we noticed the waiters puffing up pillows and chatting and looking at us at the door. I shared half of my meal with green flies. Under trained staff and a lack of professionalism. 4 empty tables ain't no sign of a busy day. When serving food , bring the cuttlery 1st not after.

One of the worst food experiences, made worse by poor customer service skills. We requested our lamb rack be cooked medium, all 3 of us received raw lamb chops. The waitress agreed so we sent it back for another portion to arrive 45mins later. This attempt was overcooked on the outside and still raw on the inside with unrendered, inedible fat. One of the owners popped by to enquire how the meal was going, to which I pointed out the raw meat. He offered to redo it, but I declined as we had been in the restaurant for 1.5 hours already and would run late for our subsequent wine tasting. His reply was "OKAY" and then he left. No recourse, no apology. He then proceeded to sit down at a table with customers he was familiar with. It is unfortunate as we first ate here before covid and vowed to return- we had the best steak dish then (fillet and a glorious porcini veloute, with perfectly cooked baby carrots and tenderstem broccoli) - this time the carrots were very undercooked and raw, rather than al dente. If a rack of lamb cannot be executed, rather just change your menu to lamb cutlets. The waitress did mention that the chefs had changed a few times, which is not surprising if they have to work under such management. They are in the process of a full renovation, let's hope that things change for the better and the owner develops some customer service skills and just human decency. I do wish them well and hope to see the restaurant restored to what it once was. Don't do the tasting menu, there was nothing to write home about. Rather opt for the ala carte if you must, or avoid altogether.

Nice location. No oysters, dry chicken pie and awful spring rolls. No dressing on the side salad, or offer of oil and vinegar. Really poor food. Not at all necessary!

There is a reason this place is rated #1 for breakfast in Franschhoek! Everything was just as you hope a great breakfast will be. Iโ€™ve had breakfast in many Franschhoek eateries and havenโ€™t had a bad one, but this is just a step above the others. Plus a funky little shop inside. Definitely recommend.

We had a lovely time. Food was great and the service was just as great. Do make a booking as you might not be lucky enough to get a seat with a walk in.

I did some research ahead of time, booked the dinner, and then the day of got a little nervous reading the more current reviews. Determined to enjoy our dinner we followed through and had an amazing time! The staff was attentive right from the beginning and I was pretty chuffed to know we had a table when I saw the sign outside stating, "Dinner fully booked." We did the tasting menu with wine pairing. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed some standout courses. My husband loved the duck and the tuna. I really enjoyed the trout, we both liked the desserts with their multitudes of flavors to combine in different ways. Yolanda was great to us, walking us through each course and the place was full of contented diners fully engaged with each other, just enjoying their night.

Ana absolute gem in the heart of Franschhoek! We stayed here two nights and we could have been here longer. We just loved it. It felt like Home! The rooms were spacious, kitchen well stocked with coffee from the local cafe. Dryer and washer was a blessing for us to wash clothes. We absolutely loved staying here and look forward to coming back! The hostess was also kind, friendly and super helpful!! The shower was strong and hot for Our sore muscles!

We stayed at Le Petit Manoir on the final night of our honeymoon. They treated us with special service and the rooms and food was on another level. The location is right in the middle of town so we parked our car and walked where ever we wanted to go. Stunning experience.

Warm cost environment for a winters day. Food is great and well worth the price. Great portions. Friendly service. Brian was our waiter and gave efficient and courteous service. Ordered the pulled pork on baguette. And it was delicious. Meaty, flavorsome and generous portion, the baguette was not chewy and soft easily bite able. Wagu beef burger was meaty, cooked to perfection medium, bacon with cambert cheese was a great combination. The truffle fries with the burger was delicious and added a great flavor. Ordered carrot cake and a brownie for take home.... Absolutely mouth watering delicious. Best brownie for R30 well worth it. The carrot cake, abundance of nuts, soft fluffy fresh, cream cheese topping light and delicate. Will Defintely be visiting again.

This is a must visit... the dining experience is absolutely worth every star. The tastes of every course was just so pleasing to the palate and the choice of spice was extraordinary. From the Basil Gelato to the Sake sorbet, the whole 3-course was a five star experience ๐Ÿ‘Œ

A 5-star experience from start to finish. We visited during restaurant week and had the 3 course food and wine pairing option. My husband and I arenโ€™t big red wine fans and the waitress did her best to accommodate us which was highly appreciated. Next time we will return for a overnight stay because we were informed at dinner that they offer accommodation too!

๐Ÿ˜ Where to start. The place is nicely located, warm and welcoming and usually buzzing with people. We arrived with about 20minutes left of happy hour an got our drinks no problem. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Best spot for a pizza and beer in town. Itโ€™s always busy, good to have a reservation, but whenever we went, we didnโ€™t have to wait more than 15-20 minutes for a table. The pizzas are delicious, lot of toppings, lot of options.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Pricey but excellent. Great atmosphere and service. Serve meals till 10:30 in the evening. The marrow bones with the steaks are great. Portions are huge. The braaibroodjies are unique. Worth a go. Will definately go back. They have a great selection of meals which are excellently prepared.
