Really not impressed with the service. I called a week in advance and made a booking for a wine tasting outside for 10 people. When we arrived it was busy and they had not prepared a table for us. They simply told us to find a spot. We had to move the concrete tables by ourselves. I also called before and asked what their procedure was with bringing birthday cakes and they said itโ€™s very normal and they offered to bring out plates. That was not the case. This really frustrated me because I had checked before. Their communication and friendliness needs to improve.

Ishmael was amazing! He ran us through the tasting and described everything perfectly. And Proud in the restaurant was great. So friendly! The food was divine. 10/10 experience all in all

Thanks Robson. Nothing more to say. Wine tasting is interesting and worth the trip, guided and perfect. I saw other tables entertained with enthusiasm as well as Mr Pony popping in to say hello. It is wine quality, staff service and general experience and since we got invited by work colleagues, not once have we been let down. We love this farm. Thank you for the afternoon. See you soon. My wife and I got married here almost 3 years ago and stayed in the honeymoon suite, the venue was beautiful and the staff exceptionally professional (thanks Bernie and Christine!). Weโ€™ve since been back for a picnic and wine tasting and the wines and grounds are beautiful as always. Will always have a special place in our heart for Zorgvliet!

This is what event spaces should be like! We had my daughterโ€™s second birthday here and it was perfect. The entire process from planning to the actual day was 10/10. They were so accommodating and willing to discuss our needs and made it a wonderful for my family and I. Freddy, Proud and Rose gave us excellent service. We couldnโ€™t be happier. Thank you so much!

A really beautiful wine Estate. Here you can enjoy wine tasting, or visit the restaurant. It is a beautiful venue for a wedding. They offer stylish accommodation too. The views are spectacular and parking is plentiful. Most of the areas are wheelchair accessible.

Had a lovely lunch on this beautiful wine farm. Did feel that prices was a little steep even for a wine farm restaurant. Wine tasting experience was very good with a very attentive and witty employee guiding us through the process.

Review based on restaurant service only. Zorgvliet Wine Estate deserves accolades for its exceptional combination of good food and excellent wine. The culinary offerings are a delight to the palate, complemented perfectly by the quality wines produced on the estate. The picturesque views add a breathtaking backdrop to the dining experience, creating a serene and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff at Zorgvliet are not only attentive but also embody a genuine warmth, enhancing the overall hospitality. For those seeking a memorable blend of gastronomic pleasures, fine wine, and a stunning setting, Zorgvliet Wine Estate stands out as a top choice.

We had a great Wine tasting experience there. Historic tasting rooms- will feel like a Baron or Count. Beautiful winery and surroundings. Very knowledgeable people. Will surely revisit.

Place is beautiful and has great views of the mountain ranges the food delicious, even the staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint could be that I was attending a wedding reception and we had the place till 7 pm however from around 6:30 pm staff gave us the feeling that they would like for us to leave, they invited in guest that were not part of the wedding party. That's the only reason this is not getting 5 stars.

One of the popular and well known established wine estates on the Helshoogte road. Surely worth it to stop and experience the beautiful view and refresh yourself with something from the menu with the friendly staff.

Overall the accommodation was great. A tad overprice for what you get especially relative to what you can get in the area, I was there for a wedding so it made sense to stay. The staff was ok overall except for the lady that manages events and the venue. She was completely rude, condescending and made paying guest feel unwelcome and very uncomfortable. I wonโ€™t not recommend it for a wedding venue given the attitude we received. Please take her for hospitality training.

Lovely setting, but three of the four red wines on our tasting were unpleasantly acidic. We had to ask twice for a bottle of sparkling water. When it finally arrived in a plain bottle with no fizz, it seemed very much like tap water - for which we were charged R30. Waiter seemed rather miffed at the lack of tip.

Never disappoints. We visited seven years ago on our honeymoon and called back in recently to try the fantastic array of wines. Best reds in the region. Tasting menu very reasonable priced. Staff very welcoming and knowledgeable. Fantastic setting overlooking the vineyards.

We stopped here as part of our Franschoek Tram experience. You have an hour to taste the wine and have a bite to eat. The service was really awful the waiters decided to drink wine at the back instead of attending to paying customers. We eventually had to ask for our food to be packed up. The waiters were not friendly and had attitudes with us. I will definitely miss this estate next time around.

Wow blown away by scenery and service. The waiter was friendly and on the ball. The tasting was excellent ,ended up buying for friends the Rosรจ because it's so nice. We ended the tasting with yummy dessert , our 2hr visit was worth every minute.

I prepaid for a picnic basket of 4. On arrival there was no booking. We were told to wait 20 minutes after which we could collect the basket. No apology was offered and we felt fobbed off. The whole experience was awful. We got the idea that as we were locals, we were treated different to international guests. I am in the travel industry and this is no way to treat paying clients. I will not be recommeding Zorgvliet to any of my clients in the future.

During our recent stay at this hotel, which at first glance appeared charming and well-managed, we had a decidedly negative experience that cast a shadow over our entire trip. On the morning of our departure, while we were out for breakfast, someone entered our room and took money from my wife's purse. We realized this upon our return, noticing that the money had been moved from one pocket to another, immediately raising our concerns. Despite not being able to determine the exact amount taken - as it was cash we had just exchanged at the airport - the situation was serious enough to be reported to the reception immediately. Since we were informed that only an employee had accessed our room, we were assured that the incident would be investigated. However, not wanting to waste more precious time of our trip, we decided against involving the police, hoping for an internal resolution that, unfortunately, never came. Upon returning to the hotel a few hours later, nothing had been recovered, and the response from management was unsatisfactory. Even though the hotel presents well and most of the staff are polite and professional, this incident has severely compromised our trust in their security standards and their care for guests. It's a pity that such a negative experience overshadowed our stay at a place we had chosen with excitement. A piece of advice for anyone considering staying here: make sure to use the room safe for your valuables. Our experience underscores the importance of taking additional personal security precautions.

Had lunch there today. No dumplings available. Had to settle for Naan bread with lunch. Then we asked for milktart for desert which was also not available. Someone recommended the place but we were highly disappointed. Service were not exceptional. We had a guest from the States with us and I felt ashamed.

What an absolute amazing experience this was! I could not have asked for a better venue for my wedding. Breathtakingly beautiful and the quality of service was 5 star! Christine, our coordinator, was excellent. I did not have to stress about a single thing on my big day. She was so kind and well organised. Would highly recommend! Thank you Zorgvliet, we will forever cherish this wonderful experience!

It was the best wine tasting experience ever, super friendly sommelier who is more than willing to explain and make good jokes about good wine. I will defiantly go back for a quick glass before going home.

We recently had the chance to set up our luxury glam photo booth at a wedding at the Zorgvliet Wine Estate. With its classic look, our booth fit right in, and it was more than just fun for guests. The photo booth was key in capturing the happy mood of the wedding guests and really showing off the wedding's spirit. Plus, Zorgvliet Wine Estate itself is beautiful and charming with its unique Cape Dutch architecture and amazing mountain views. To sum it up, Zorgvliet presents a truly remarkable setting for a wedding, creating an environment conducive to enduring, joyful memories.

We had such an amazing experience!! Wine was stunning, location is beautiful and if you want the best service ask for Chim, his knowledge on the wine is phenomenal and his personality is a 10/10. The fire place was perfect for this winter day in CT. Chim thank you so much for your amazing service!

If you are looking for great wine, a beautiful view and awesome service, then the Zorgvliet Wine Estate is for you! They have a wide range including white, rosรฉ and red wines, and all their wines are of a high standard. The tasting center is also very beautiful with inside as well as outside seating areas. On cold days sitting inside is perfect as it is very cozy and they normally have a fire going. In summer you can sit outside on the porch and enjoy the view of the beautiful mountains, and if you are lucky the horses will be outside in the paddocks which is always nice to see. Although their wine is the star for me, there is one part that truly made the experience extra special and that was the service. The gentleman that served us (Chim) was awesome. He was very informative and friendly, made the tasting really fun and made us feel special. Zorgvliet was always one of my favorite farms and this time we visited just reconfirmed that for me!

Wonderful day spent at Zorgvliet. Wine tasting was amazing. Friendly, fun staff and some seriously scrumptious red wines. We then headed to the restaurant for lunch. We had the small plates and wine pairing option, which was delicious. The beautiful surroundings on this farm make for such a relaxing experience. Will be back.

The setting is just stunning, function venues are elegant and comfortably furnished, wait staff are polite and helpful, the grounds immaculately kept. The events planning staff are professional and detail oriented. Allergies: Very flexible and accommodating, at both the restaurant and for functions. Food: Just divine.

Had a picnic here for my daughter's birthday. In summer you should try to arrive early to secure a spot where the sun does not torment you. Family friendly, with a water feature for my son to run through and trees for me to lie under. Bring camping chairs if you want to sit upright, some of the sites don't have picnic benches, you do get big cushions and a picnic blanket. When we ordered the roast chicken basket, we did not realise that we would literally get a full roast chicken, without the utensils to carve and dissect. Became a real mess when you only have plastic knives and forks. So maybe take some cutlery with as well. Food was excellent! - once the chicken had been torn into pieces we really enjoyed the basket. The Zorgvliet Sauvignon Blanc was a lovely pairing. Large open grass patches for kids playing soccer or throwing a frisby. Nice clean ablution facilities behind the restaurant. Looking forward to visiting again with my chairs, cutlery and beach hat.
