Booked dinner here before a show at Cirkus and to celebrate our anniversary. Disappointed from start to finish. Took 45 minutes to receive almonds and olives. Took another 50 minutes to receive main courses, of which one was the wrong meal! Unfortunately we only had 15 minutes before our show so had to leave without eating our main courses since we could not wait longer for them to produce new food. The manager was very nice but assured us she had removed some items from the bill. After we paid we realized this was not the case. So we paid 500+SEK for 2 starters and 2 glasses of wine. Did not get offered any more drinks despite being seated from 5.45-7.15. Really disappointing service from an experience we were really looking forward to, especially since we informed in advance that it was a special occasion. Lovely setting, but could not recommend to anyone. Edited to add: Emailed the hotel as requested and received no reply - just to round off a really bad experience with some really poor customer service.

This hotel has a great location. Nice breakfast and there's a lot of things to do in the neighborhood. The only thing that stood out was that there was no elevator in the wing section of the hotel. Also there is only one sauna which is shared between men and women and therefore it might not appeal to all the guests but it was a quite good sauna.

Impossible to write review abt restaurant Hasselbacken. So I’m gonna write in here. This was the worst food I’ve ever tried today 14.02.2024 . Valentine’s Day. Ambiance nice , but quality, taste and look of the food is disaster . Portions too. Attitude to clients so so. They urgently need new chef if this place pretends to survive on the market .

Hotel with nice location. However my room was almost underground and toilet was probably not used with frequency and somehow smelling.. but cleaned

Clean spacious rooms with nice breakfast alongside. On one of the more quieter islands of Stockholm with a lot of museums and theme park near by. The cheap ferry/taxi is the best way to get to the old town and other islands

We stayed at Hotel Hasselbacken Aug 11 -15, 2023. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! The staff were so kind and accommodating. They would offer me tea or coffee if I was sitting in the lobby, and there was always ice water with lemons & limes. They helped us figure out how best to get places (which probably saved us a lot of money!). Breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the location was fantastic. The corner room was a great layout for a family of 4. The location was great, with multiple major sites walking distance, and transit access was easy. Yes you can hear the screams from the amusement park across the street, but they shut down at 10pm, so not disruptive for sleeping. The room was clean, but the walls could use a scrub - They were a bit grungy around the door frame. The building and furnishings were beautiful. Hopefully some day we'll make it back to Sweden, and stay here again!

Lovely hotel with wonderful service and stunning decor. Located in a perfect spot near great museums(ABBA, Vasa, Viking), lovely restaurants, and the amusement park Grona Lund. The hotel had free bicycles you can check out for a few hours which made it fun and easy to get to Gamla Stan, the castle, and other great sights. The hotel restaurant had amazing food and impeccable service. The bed and room were so comfortable and well kept. We were a bit early for patio weather but I imagine the restaurant patio is the perfect spot to spend some time on. Thank you for the lovely time, Hotel Hasselbacken!

Beautiful lobby and general area, really kind and friendly staff. The room I had was fine, just quite neutral without much decore. However I got my requested bathtub so I was very happy! Great location if you plan to visit the many museums in the area. The small gym and sauna area was nice as well. The breakfast buffet was the best part, really recommended! Plenty of fruit and juices, eggs and bacon, pancakes, yoghurt and mueslis and toppings, bread and toast and plenty of toppings, and an assortment of sweet cookies and croissants. I also had the best vegetarian "meat" I have ever had as a Friday lunch at the restaurant, it was delicious. Tack!

Our stay was amazing, I got a double room for my lady and I on Valentine's Day and the whole staff was wonderful. Big shout-out to Ludwig (like Beethoven) from the reception, fluent in both English and Swedish he took great care of us. Hope to go there again soon!

A superb hotel. The location is wonderful with easy access to central Stockholm by ferry, tram or foot. The staff are wonderful. The food is really excellent and innovative, prepared with real flare and imagination. I will be staying there again for sure.

Beautiful hotel, rooms are well appointed and decorated. Morning buffet is delicious and well assorted with fresh choices. We also dined here a couple of nights, we all loved it.

I was there at a party and it was a wonderful venue. Hazleiussalen had a balcony overlooking half of Stockholm and an enchanting ceiling.

Grateful for the sauna, plunge pool, and enjoyed a comfortable bed, except my partner did not. Could check in early. Music was loud from downstairs. Suggest drinking water to be available in sauna space and perhaps a cheese board in the evening.

Aamiainen todella laadukas.

Hotel location excellent! food great!... but misinformation about parking got us 180€ fine in 12 hours. Same thing as commentator Fabian Schell said in these same reviews, he only got 90€. Feels like Aimopark and private hotel Hasselbacken is working together here...

Nice location, but a bit disappointed with the breakfast that there are not many selections of bread, and no salad. There is almost no toiletries at all. Not sure if there is AC in the room.

We stayed here for a night, but it really wasnt what we expected. Our room door did not close properly, you could still see outside and hear everything outside. The room door would also shake making it impossible to sleep. Also, the shower door was almost falling off the wall. It was scary to take a shower since it felt like the door might fall off the wall at any second. The shower head also tilted to one side so we had to stand in a particular corner to be able shower. To finish it off, there was nobody at the reception when we wanted to check out. We waited 30 minutes before someone was there. All in all, not a great experience.

Hasselbacken hotel has changed. The breakfast buffet has less variety (porridge and berries gone). The homey comfy feeling a little bit less. There is this enormous bar in the middle of the dining room. I guess hasselbacken now is more the perfect place for partying like new year, Halloween, company events, weddings etc

Wonderful quirky hotel at a great location. Funky interior, nice breakfast and close to Abba museum.and Tivoli park.. Unfortunately not the best Hasselback patatoes I have eaten in my life. Travel tips in Stockholm? Visit Reisachtig.com

Clean and tidy rooms for your money. The hotel feels quite luxurious, and you can have a nice rest here as it is in a relatively quiet neighborhood, at least for the time I stayed here, it was. There's also a bar, but the prices are quite steep, 30+ SEK for a coffee is a bit much, especially considering in some hotels it is free.

Great location to both the city centre and fun activities like walking around Djurgården, museums, Gröna Lund and much more. Hotel staff is very friendly and the hotel is even dog friendly! 😃 The service from the bar is just a good and very helpful, has a great selection of drinks and a very tasty food menu. This is a highly recommended place to visit!

Fantastic lunch in the restaurant - thanks to the lovely Blandin and Journalin. Best bread platter for the starter anywhere in Sweden. They have a bakery on the other side of the road too x

This place is exactly the right place, if you stay a couple of days in Stockholm and you want to do some sightseeing. From there you can go to Gamlanstan by boat in 10 minutes.

Did not stay at hotel. Had drinks and appetizers in restaurant mid-April. Very good food. OK selection of beer. Beautiful dining room with old world charm and elegance. Located on island of Stockholm with several popular attractions. It is on high hill right across from ABBA museum. Tram stop right in front.
