Carful Carful Carful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This hotel took 300€ as a deposit during checking in and even though I told them I will not use the bar and they can only take 100€, they insisted on charging my credit card 300 and it will be refunded in case I have not take anything from the bar during checkout. But this was not the case, its been now more than ten days and I have not received the money back and I also contacted them but no one is responding Aside from this, the bed was not comfortable and smells dirty. Absolutely not recommended!

The room was no where near to standards of a 4 star hotel. Also the next day the cleaning lady didn't even bother to replace wet towels. The room was not cleaned properly. There was only one plug/socket to charge your phone and other electronic devices, pathetic. The breakfast was way worse than a local 2 star hotel. The parking is NOT free, and it was never mentioned during booking process. Horrible experience, never again staying at Hilton.

The executive lounge was insufferablely hot, dark, windowless and the food was not good. Apps were still frozen in the center and bread was clearly the discarded burnt rejects from breakfast. Rooms were clean and staff was fine. Breakfast was mediocre.

Very bad experience, PLEASE READ. Manager Zung has treated my family in the worse way possible even insulting and laughing calling myself names. This hotel service is very bad we had to stay due to no options since we where with 2 babies. Rooms are very expensive for what there is, rooms are as well not cleaned and when you complain for something the manager laughs. We had to ask several times for help with the bags, overall, if you have to stay in Strasbourg DO NOT CHOOSE this hotel. Coming back

2 adults + toddler, weekend stay. Pros: Room was very clean, nice beds, nice TV, nice&clean linen. Coffee + tea set, central air conditioning, iron, fridge. WiFi worked well. Nice bath, good temp control. Quiet room, effective heavy curtains to protect from the morning sun. Helpful and pleasant stuff. Convenient parking (ask reception for a toll ticket if you need to drive out during your stay). Good location, tram stop in 2 mins or 30 mins slow walk to the Cathedral, 15 mins from the Parliament, easy to reach from the motorway. Cons: Nothing really important. Little bit outdated looks, missing extra pillows, restaurant is only open for the breakfast during a weekend. Sum up: Enjoyed it, will choose to stay here again on the next occasion.

Check in was smooth. We were too early to get into our room so they allowed us to store our bags while we waited. The room was nice with a large bed. Bedding was very comfortable. Bathroom was stocked with toiletries. Toilet paper was a little rough. Breakfast was pretty good with a nice assortment. This is a large and conveniently located. It is an old property and is really showing its age in some areas.

The hotel in overall would be just ok. The rooms are outdated, and the bathrooms were old. There was only one pillow per person and no extra blankets available in the room. The air conditioning dries the atmosphere resulting in waking up with dried sore throat. The breakfast was not good and the service unacceptable. Waiters were rude and people had to seek for an empty clean cup! Close to the centre and easily accessible (4 stops away) with the local transportation.

Once again it has proven that I don’t have to trust always on negative reviews from people who stayed before, but that I first have to experience it by myself. After reading some TripAdvisor reviews, I had low expectations of this hotel. But, from the moment we arrived, we were happily surprised (actually already before). The people who work there, really think about their guests. One day before arrival we received a helpful email with instructions about how to reach the hotel since some roads were blocked. I have stayed over 300 times in a Hilton and this rarely happens. As well, I haven’t experienced for a long time such a warm and welcoming check-in. The lady and gentlemen behind the reception gave us a warm welcome and explained everything we needed to know. Yes, the hotel is a bit outdated, but it has everything you need. Rooms are well equipped with a coffee/tea facility, and we even got surprised with a small welcome gift (Which I rarely see these days at other hotels). All by all, don’t always trust the negative reviews. They are snapshots of a specific moment and not always based on reality. Experience it by yourself and then judge! Hilton Strasbourg, thank you very much for this stay!🥰

Decent sized room, comfy bed, and clean, but needs a lot of renovation, especially in the bathroom, to maintain its 4 star status. Not very central, about 1/2 hour walk to Petite-France. Parking is 20 euros extra per day. Breakfast buffet is extensive but in a very loud and crowded hall.

The Hotel is good, but not the level of Hilton. It looks like the middle class hotel that has taken franchise of Hilton. The rooms are big, but the cleaning personnel is not very attentive while cleaning: on the second day of stay we have found the wrap from Ferrero next to the bed-side table, on the next day it was still there :( The breakfast room is too small for the size of the hotel: when you come at 9.30 for breakfast, you have to queue. That is why I rate it for 4.

Quick edit to this initial review. Everything was great until there was a COCKROACH in my bed. Yes, a cockroach. I informed the staff immediately, but they took over 20 minutes to handle the situation and seemed almost bothered to take care of the creepy crawler. House keeping eventually came and asked if I wanted new sheets. I said yes and they, too, seemed very annoyed. Would avoid this hotel at all costs.

Enjoyed the executive lounge. Food is good with reasonable selection. Bar is complimentary with fair selection. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located for flying in/out if Frankfurt airport.

Awful experience at this location: - Rooms are only partially renovated: The carpeting and bed are refurbished, but the furniture and the bathroom haven't changed! - Food & Beverage is sub-par: Ham & cheese aren't fresh, eggs are inedible. Breakfast is overcrowded, the buffet is poorly organized and the restaurant is extremely noisy. Young kids are admitted into the executive lounge, where they run and scream. Beverages aren't renewed in the lounge, and you have to wait for a waiter to ask for refreshments. - On the second day, I asked for the sheets to be changed. In the evening, after showering, I realized there was a very unpleasant smell in the room, which turned out to be from the sheets. I had to call the front desk at 10:30 at night, for an employee to come with an extremely unpleasant attitude. He argued "the cleaning lady can't read well and didn't understand she had to change the sheets." Did he literally say the smell came from me then?! After showing him the card was put back to its original place by the cleaning lady and the sheets were indeed replaced with "scented" ones, he reluctantly changed them, without even apologizing. No follow-up form the front desk either, who apparently didn't care about solving the issue (or "making it right, as Hilton likes to say). This is the worst experience I've had a Hilton, and it's purely unacceptable, not only form a chain like this, but also towards a Gold member.

Clean accommodations and friendly informative staff. Parked in the hotel parking, spaces are compact and the lot lit and clean. Staff does inform of ongoing in the city and recommends public transport. Breakfast cycles through standard fare for diverse diets. Nice place to stay overall.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Leider wegen Corona kein vollständiges Programmangebot, zB. blieb die Executive Louge geschlossenen. Personal ist sehr engagiert. Tolles Frühstück. Zimmer sehr sauber, ganz bequemes Bett.

(Translated by Google) First and last time at this establishment. We wanted to choose a starred establishment to fully enjoy our 3-day stay in Strasbourg. Unfortunately, despite the price and the reputation of the Hilton, we had nothing but disappointments: * Yogurt that has expired from the day before, which even if it remains edible, has nothing to do in a 4-star hotel. * A bathroom that lacks hygiene: towel with black lint when unfolded to wipe off, no toilet brush, limestone on the tap which prevented the correct outflow of water, we had to scrape ourselves.... * Hair was present in the bathtub, despite a label on the door indicating that the room was cleaned. Too many accumulated problems not to share them. Obviously, we took the time to communicate them when we left the reception. We were advised to write to the manager of the establishment to escalate our problems to him. We had the bad surprise to have a person of bad faith and contempt, who supposedly, I quote "made investigations" before answering us and reports false remarks for a breakfast in room like what we would have to telephone to order ... While we had taken the information on our arrival at the reception. A shame for such an establishment. So just for Customer Service and the lack of consideration during our feedback to management, we do not recommend this establishment.

(Translated by Google) The period is a bit special given the current health crisis but still I was a little disappointed, maybe the name Hilton made me think that I am going to see a magnificent hotel with top service but the welcome was bland , a little disorganized, the places a little bland too, the surroundings dirty and not maintained. A big water leak in front of the main entrance under the porch which got bigger the next day and which was not treated immediately. Lots of detail that shows that there are efforts to be made to take it up a notch.

The furniture is ushatannaya, the windows are dirty, the general impression of visiting this hotel remained the best. Breakfast is not four stars, that's for sure, very small tables located too close to each other. (Original) Это был мой первый раз в отеле Hilton и он мягко говоря не оправдал ожиданий. The floor lounge is certainly primitive in food, but given the prices in Strasbourg it is quite affordable. A plate of small meat cuts and a couple of pieces of cheese. There is a local not bad red and white wine, champagne, ginny whiskey. Small desserts during the day. (Original) Конечно отель на твердую троечку ( хотя четыре звезды). Тарелка из небольшой мясной нарезки и пару кусочков сыра. Есть местное не плохое красное и белое вино, шампанское, джини виски. Небольшие десерты днем.

One of the poorest breakfasts i ever had in a Hilton. Stop covering yourself with the pandemic! Hotel is just old, and even renovated rooms need to be re-renovated. Taps in the rooms are stuffed with water stone, just not pleasant.

This is the best hotel in Strasbourg so far. If you want a proper sized room with all the conform you need and at a fair price, go there. And avoid downtown hotels like Sofitel or Mercure or any other Ibis brands. And it's not far away from the city, any tram will get you there in less than 10 minutes.

  • 4/5 Nia F. 2 years ago on Google
Spectacular service! Caroline was immeasurably pleasant and extremely helpful..I was in a pinch and needed a client document printed and she was happy to help in record time. We stayed here for one night and we were pleased. The lobby has a wonderful fragrance that you can smell even before walking in. The location is right next to the Palais du Congres and a 25 minute walk to the downtown area. The executive lounges (in the lobby and on the top floor) and the gym were closed due to the pandemic. However the breakfast in the breakfast room was comparable to what would normally be served in the lounge. The hot breakfast options are served by staff as a precaution. The business center is open. I would rate 5 stars but the exterior and areas of the interior can be considered for renovation. However the hotel is quite clean, the beds (including a rollaway bed), linens and robes very comfortable, and the service throughout was excellent.

We had a wonderful experience here. We booked the day of on a June Saturday morning using points and were greeted warmly that afternoon by staff who spoke wonderful English (Zung at the front desk, in particular, was amazingly helpful and kind). They gave our daughters “princess packages” and brought us a crib and gave us pointers for exploring the city. The breakfast buffet was phenomal and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again if we make our way back to Strasbourg!

The property is old and completely outdated! The service is really not there as a Hilton diamond member the executive room is dark, outdated and looks like it has not been touched since 1972, the food was a total disaster, not fresh, totally processed trash ( I could not find one single thing to eat that was safe. The breakfast was another nightmare come true, fast food at any chain would be a 5 star meal compered to what was served at the property (I did not touch it). The staff is not rude but they are also not helpful, they are more like machines standing behind the desk. The rooms are decent and clean, the price was fair for what you get, the location is ok but not optimal. My recommendation is, if you find a hotel closer to town take it! Staying at this property is a waste of time ( even if you are a Hilton member).

A Hilton, but a worn down one, in need of refurbishment. My room was ice-cold at check-in, called guest service and asked for help getting the thermostat going but no one showed up so had to spend the night properly tucked down.... Breakfast ok and a secured car park which saves the three stars. I will not return...

Worst Hilton I ever stayed in. Dirty “de-luxe“ room which was not properly cleaned during my entire stay of three nights, although I asked several times. Staff ranging from very friendly to extremely rude. Chaotic reception, check in and check out. One staff member made fun of me because of my poor eyesight. It took me various attempts to get an error free invoice. The director said he would try to improve the situation, I appreciate his commitment but whatever he did did not help much.

I had many stays at this hotel and I mostly enjoyed about it, that it is close to where I often need to go and because it is easy to reach by car. The breakfast is ok, the rooms are ok (bathrooms depend on the room you get), but what is really disappointing is the unwillingness of the personal to provide their guests a good stay. I mean a stay that is worth to book a Hilton Hotel. Once, last year, I cut my finger and asked at the reception if they had a band aid (I believed, hotel stuff would have some first aid equipment...). Unfortunately, the guy didn't have one and was also not interested at all to help. Today, I got a room with no electric plug close to a mirror. For women at least, it can be necessary to have a mirror in front when they dry their hair. However, there was none - I checked many times. Finally I went to the reception to ask for an extension wire (which I got in many other hotels immediately), but the lady just said, there's no plug for security reasons and she doesn't have any wire. Again the stuff was not interested at all in creating a pleasant experience for the guests of their Hilton. This is really disappointing and definitely not worth the high prices.

Rooms ok, lots of parking and relatively quiet location. 20 mins walk to centre of Strasbourg. Breakfast probably the worst of any Hilton I have been to. Really poor, so don't bother paying extra for it.

Very poor experience here. no bottle water in the room, no service, every request you talk to the staff always with the answer of no, the breakfast offered here is a disaster… this is the worst Hilton hotel I have experienced so far…Honestly, I will choose to change a hotel if I travel to Strasbourg in the future…although I am a diamond member of Hilton

A unique Hilton experience. Friendly staff. The executive lounge provides local wines every night. Special thanks to Bob and Zhong who tirelessly helped us locate our missing luggages from the airline.

Always happy staying at Hilton! Friendly check in experience, we offered an upgrade which was super. In our room a nice surprise was waiting for us of local cookies to try with our coffee. Location is about 25min walking distance from city centre but there is a tram station close to it. Definitely we are going to stay here in our next visit.

Solid 3 to 4 Star hotel max, clean and spacious rooms. The Exec lounge however was the worst I came over so far, no daylight and dark as you can't see the drink in front of you. Only coffee and softdrinks during daytime, unattended. When I entered, random staff went out quickly leaving many leftovers.

Really nice place ideally located in Strasbourg. Close to all facilities. Crew are helpful. Even from outside it doesn’t look so nice, quite old, inside is really nice.

I'm glad we're only staying one night! The Staff is friendly but obviously under staffed. As Hilton Gold members, we waited well over 20 minutes to check in. Upon first look bed was lumpy, as another member stated there was only one pillow per person. The Executive lounge was a joke! Food was fit for peasants, very nominal and low quality, not even a salad. I would expect this service at Hotels with 2 Stars. I feel we over paid for this name brand and was under serviced. Be warned, this is not your average Hilton hotel but rather a low quality, non concerning motel environment. Now let's hear management say something like"thanks for bringing this to our attention"

We stayed at the hotel during our Christmas vacations. This hotel was ok. The rooms where clean and big. It has very good heating. The location is very good with a tram station near the hotel at aproximately 100m. It also has a big outside parking.

The mattress was incredibly back-breakingly firm. Very low in end for Hilton range. The rooms are outdated and temperature on thermostat was not able to be lowered by very much and it was very hot. Still there was a lovely view of the Cathedral from my room. The location is fairly decent. Just 5 minutes walk to the tram. Breakfast was passable and not extremely good. There are no espresso beverage provided with breakfast or available in the lobby. There is also no convenience store on the premises but you do receive two bottles of cold still water in the room-- there is a refrigerator if you need it in the room.

This hotel is what you expect when you book a Hilton. From check in to check out nothing but friendly helpful staff. Pleasant, clean rooms and common areas. They acknowledge Honors status and provide discounts and perks commensurate to your level. I would recommend staying here and will definitely stay here on our next visit to the area.

We had a really comfortable stay here. Clean room and lobbey, polite staff, fast service, nice breakfast, quiet environment, great access to the city center. A few things to improve are as follows: The light in the room(found the room dark a bit)/please take care of the baby chair to be cleaned/Install Electrical car charging station in the parking

A very good hotel with a big parking lot and lots of amenities. Rooms are old but in a very good condition. You have all you need, good beds, a safe, lots of sockets, an iron, tv, and so on. Our room was quiet. Breakfast was excellent. As a diamand member we got it for free as well as the parking lot. You have a near connection to the railway to the city. Empoyees were extremely friendly and helpful.

very only okay. Hilton property now must say a lot of that is due to this 1980s tired feeling location. while some updates are apparent in the rooms, other elements are showing their dated age, especially the bathrooms and some of the common areas. location is a strange combination for the city of close-ish to the city center, but further away from even the business corridor. if there is a standout positive experience, it is the pleasant staff. very helpful. eager to give recommendations and a warm welcoming nature. also on site ample parking is available and free of charge to diamond members.

Had a pleasant stay here. You can notice the hotel is quite old but that didn’t affect my stay. The view of the cathedral was stunning and the room clean. The service both at the breakfast and reception was great, very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was great, not outstanding but solid. The lounge was great for a softdrink but quite dark without a window. Hotel is conveniently located about a 5 min walk from a tram/bus station, from which it is easy to reach the gare / old town within a short time. Overall a pleasant experience that met my expectations.

Clean and comfortable room. Very crowded breakfast room, no place to move there. Breakfast buffet monotonous. Not enough parking places. Hotel entrance not so welcoming. Staff ready to help, most of them client oriented.

What a lovely hotel and great staff! I’m not sure if we were upgraded or not but we were on the executive floor. Our room was modern, comfortable, clean and large. We checked in early with no hassle and parking was easy and half price because I’m a Hilton Honors member. They brought us water and local spice cookies to our room. Everyone was lovely. My partner had quite a few interesting cocktails in the bar.

The overall experience at the Hilton Strasbourg was really good but one person at the Bar ruined it for the collective effort. She didn't wear a name tag which I believe is a 4 star standard, I heard her colleagues called her Ines. Don't know where to start but this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Order simple thing and she can't make sure of it, once she realizes her mistake, not even a single apologies. Instead I felt like we were annoying her. Her attitude was definitely not fit for the hospitality industry, let alone a hotel of this standard. Maybe a student getting some extra money? When you have staff that prefer to chit chat than ensuring a high quality service, it's hard to keep up with the name Hilton.

Lovely hotel located not in the touristy area, the hotel it is a-bit old, rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selections of hot and cold dishes with great flavour.

Nice hotel, good sized rooms. Slightly dated bathrooms. Onsite secure parking €11 for Hilton Honours members (€25 for non-members) No pool. Great location for motorway.

Hotel is a little bit old and needs some repairs. Bed & pillow were great but air conditioner was not good. I have booked three rooms two of them AC were hot and they promised to fix it but they did not. Breakfast was okay but you have to go early or you would not find table to sit or something to eat. It is far away form city center but you could go by tram you need to walk around 5 mins and it’s 3 or 4 stop to reach city center. Parking was available and after discount 11€ per day. Nothing much nearby.

It's old Hilton which is not properly cleaned. Bathroom was smelly old and dirty. Open air parking was 22 euro per day, which is certainly overpriced. No help with luggage and had to transfer my luggage in 4 trip. You will get only 2 small water bottle at first and it will be not refilled from second day

The renovated deluxe and executive rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, even though the bathrooms are small and have been only partly refurbished. Very effective and relatively quiet aircon, good hairdryer (not a frequent occurrence), executive rooms at least have a good espresso machine. Breakfast could do with a bit more aesthetic sense, but in substance, it was just as good as more nicely looking buffets I have had recently. Be aware that the various coffee machines differ in quality. We found the first one to the left after entering the breakfast room much better than the second one, which brewed an unidentifiable drink that had little to do with coffee. The fitness room is small with outdated machines. Free parking for diamonds members, and a quiet executive lounge with heavy and dark furniture but quite good and varying food on offer. Helpful staff. All in all, it's excellent value for money during many weeks of the year, especially if you are a diamond member, and I will certainly return.

A lovely stay at Hilton Strasbourg. Everything felt perfect. The receptionists were so helpful and kind to us and really helped us make our way into the city center during our stay in the city. Having tried different Hiltons across Europe I can say this one is by far the best experience of a Hilton hotel we ever had.

The hotel staff really made this a wonderful stay! Juliana was so kind, approachable and very helpful. She was so caring and always had a great smile :) I can tell how much she love her job! Would definitely recommend

The beds were really comfy. As for everything else, probably won’t be back to this hotel and won’t recommend it for big groups or groups that order dinner there. I stayed with a pie ace of my unit for about 25 people from 01 Nov - 03 Nov, and every meal we got for dinner there was always issues with the menu or the waiters service. They constantly looked irritated and annoyed and every one always felt rushed. Which was weird because there were more conference rooms that had the same amount of guest who even finished their classes after us and still stayed around to lounge for a bit. Yet everytime we asked for water the waiter constantly looked annoyed. To the point where the last night we were there they didn’t even put coffee and tea out anymore. For what they paid for in the hotel and for it being the Hilton it’s not what i expected.

Room had a decent size with a comfortable bed. Staff were polite and helpful! The breakfast buffet was pretty small for the number of guests the hotel has. Poor executive lounge though.

The hotel is really old, and has some issues. The furnitures in the room are really used so they were broken and worn. The vents in the room had dirt in it. The staff at the bar barely spoke english so they needed to ask for someone to do so. The name “Hilton” can be enticing but the service is not the same here in Strasbourg. Breakfast, and the reception was good tho!

The buffet breakfast was very good while dinner was good as the duck entree was not tender. The employees look and sound unhappy. The gym is small but nice sauna. The room was nice but dark, poor lighting in the bedroom.WiFi was spotty and constantly disengages.

If there was a way to give minus stars that’s what it would get. Terrible hotel, smelly, old dingy rooms and bathroom is the worst, it’s smelly. We had so much trouble changing the room once as the flush wouldn’t work. And then none of the amenities were stocked, the shampoo was empty and they made us wait for 15 min with wet hair in the cold shower to bring the shampoo. My husband went to the front desk to get it and they did not even have it. Hilton properties have been so bad offlate, old and horrible service. The hotel staff is VERY VERY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. Avoid staying here and find something worth your money. Hardly anybody speaks decent English to understand basic stuff like shampoo and towel.
