I didn't randomly evaluate the 5 stars the service, room, and location, yet it really deserves it!! The hotel is very neat, clean, and high-quality. The staff were so friendly and the house keeping ladies were very welcoming. For the location is near enough to the activities, yet, far enough from the noise. My boss, used to go to Int.Cont*** Taxim hotel, however, he is happy about this one even more than his last stay at the other hotel. Tomorrow I'll have the breakfast and share my experience.. 😃 Update: The breakfast was very nice and included many various types of dishes. Great experience!

A luxurious hotel which is located near Taskim and near restaurants and Cafes. The hotel is excellent and staff are very friendly and helpful. We asked for late check out and they charged us for 1 room only even though we took 2 rooms. Rooms are spacious and comfortable but you could hear noises from corridors because of loud noises made by some guests. I liked everything in the hotel and thanks to their management for letting us extend our stay with very good rates.

We stayed at this hotel a few days ago. We were concerned after the online reviews. They turned out to be unfounded. The hotel is very nice. Great location!!! The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. The room was cleaned daily. Superior room very nice, large. We had room 408 above the main entrance. Quiet and peaceful (sometimes only the grill from the restaurant downstairs smelled). Nice view. Breakfast very diverse. Staff very polite. Overall we are very pleased.

We had a 2-night stay at this hotel in Istanbul. The hotel interior look is very luxury and beautiful. But I should say that the first night for us was not a good experience. Arriving right at the time when a large tour group was checking out the hotel rooms made us a long waiting time to Get the room. We arrived at about 12 pm and even though the check-in time was at 2 pm, we got the room around 3 pm after three hours of sitting in the lobby. The first room we got was really cold and like a freezer in that cold weather conditions of Istanbul in December. The air conditioner in the room was not working properly to heat the room, and the water was also very cold. No hot water was available. After calling the hotel services, they first sent a repair person to the room to fix the issue but when this did not work, they managed to change our room. Mr. Sasan was a great help in that process to happen. I am very thankful for his help and kind attitude. However, after changing the room we realized that the new room was not a very clean one... The bed sheets were not changed (with marks of use on them) and the towels showed signs of previous use... We slept there any way as we were really tired from our long flight. In the morning, after having a fantastic breakfast (a truly wonderful one) I talked with the hotel staff and they were really helpful in changing the conditions. They cleaned the room, brought fresh fruits for us to make us feel happy, and were all really kind with us. The second night was absolutely a great experience!! So thanks to the kind and helpful hotel staff. I should say that the hotel breakfast was exceptional and truly wonderful. The walking distance from the hotel to the Taksim square and to the Metro station is about 5-10 minutes which was fair. Overall, putting aside our terrible experience of the first night which was a result of mismanagement that happened at the time of the big tour check out time, it was a great and memorable time for us on the second day. I need to thank the hotel staff for making it work better for us. I recommend this hotel to all.

I stayed in Barcelo before and this was my second visit. Compared to the first time there is a serious drop in quality and customer care. Reception staff were not friendly, wrong information was given to me about breakfast prices. Staff at the breakfast restaurant were rude when I asked about the price difference. Yes it’s only a small difference, but it’s about the principal of giving the right information. The staff took my credit card details even at check out! Why do you need to take down my credit card details after I paid everything and leaving the hotel?! This is the only hotel with such an unprofessional practice and no regard for safety. The only good things was comfort of the bed. For this price range there are better 5 star options in Istanbul, I won’t be staying here in my next trip

Very comfortable stay. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff, especially (Nurten) went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and greeted us with a wide smile every day.

I will like to star by saying WOW. This is an amazing hotel. Their staff was awesome and they are willing to help you with everything with a huge smile but Maria was just amazing. She took the time and dedication to make sure our stay was just perfect and I truly appreciate it. She went above and beyond to make sure that we feel at home. I travel a lot for business and I have been in lots of hotels but out off all this took number 1 by far. And I just want to travel back to Istanbul to satay at this amazing hotel. It was my second time at the hotel but it was disappointing. The only good thing is it location and if u book the larger rooms they are spacious. However The quality of the bed mattresses wasn’t up to expectation. I’ve been at Barcelo before and it was much better. The mattress are worn out and are low from the sides from overuse. The staff were so friendly especially at reception and they don’t have patience they are I’ll tempered! The amenities in the room and bathroom are not full, I had to ask for the missing items. I had asked for late checkout but the receptionist failed to tell me that the room card will automatically lock me out after 12 pm so I had to go down again and ask for another key. They asked me to change rooms due to technical issues but only when I was leaving the hotel to go out did they tell me you have to pack now and pay advance the next night! Which makes me late to my appointment. I don’t understand why can’t they think ahead and inform the guest of everything up front! Eventually after they saw how bothered they made they gave me an upgrade. So thank you but really I won’t be staying at your hotel again.

It was a very bad experience , We left 100 $ in deposits when we arrived at the hotel then we extended the reservation for one more night , we were surprised that the reservation was not made so they asked us to leave the room immediately when were on a trip far away from the hotel , when we came back for checking out they dedcuted 50 $ for the delay!! And it was all their fault , they were not cooperative at all. The staff cant speak english very well and hence it was difficult for us to explain the exact situation for them,a non pleasant customer service, worst experience ever.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel for a week now. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Every staff member has been friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing! I could spend hours in the breakfast area due to both the food and amazing staff, especially Erdogan. Top notch.

Every thing was perfect. It is one of the best hotels near Taksim.On the first day of our stay in this hotel, my mother thought that one of her belongings was missing and she slandered the person who cleaned the room. But the manager of the hotel and the manager of the servants impatiently searched the room and found it. Their behavior was really supportive. They treated very, very well. It was the best hotel in terms of staff behavior. Breakfast was also great. Also, the hotel has access to different parts of the city. I will miss the Barcelo Hotel.

We were in this hotel on 29/03/23 - 02/04/23. All hotel staff are very attentive and nice. rooms in general are not bad, but for a 5 * hotel there are drawbacks: the electrical sockets are worn out and look ugly. There is no cold water in the tap, and I bathe in cold water. I haven't seen anything like this yet... About the food: very weak for 5*. The selection is very limited and not very tasty. The spa services are great as everything looks and works great. In conclusion, I can say: the hotel is good but for 5 * falls short. It's more like a 4*+

Decent 5* hotel. We had a nice time here last year. The cleaning service could be improved to be honest. The staff at the reception was kind and helpful.

In general, it was a nice experience. The staff is very friendly. Thy upgraded our room to a deluxe one, that was very kind. But there are a few things that could be better in my opinion. The breakfast was ok but not excellent, it could have more options and new entries every day (for 3 days it was almost the same). Something else i did not like. There was not a restaurant open throught the day for the guests to enjoy a lunch, meal. On the ground floor there was a bar (nice concept for those of us who enjoy watching football..) but just that... In addition, on the top floor, outside the gym there is a magnificent terrace, it could be a best option for a roof top bar (Maybe they open it in the summer...but why not throughout the year?). It's a 5 star hotel after all. Massage services are very expensive. In conclusion, the staff and service was excellent, lacks a few things that could upgrade it to a real 5-star hotel!

Great hotel, amazing service. I’ve stayed here 3 times and will always come back when I visit Istanbul. The rooms are spacious and clean, the spa is perfect- and definitely don’t miss out on the breakfast. The staff is all incredible. Hanieh especially went above and beyond.

The breakfast was great (could use some variation day to day, got a little repetitive), cleanliness was great, the staff from janitors to Hanieh outside the breakfast area were wonderful and accommodating BUT something that has to be mentioned is that the beds are absolutely atrocious. We had a king size bed and I don’t think the mattresses have been changed since the hotel opened because there was such a deep depression on either sleeping side (king bed). We loved the hotel and honestly would come back but when you’re on vacation you need proper sleep and these beds did not allow for that”.

I spent some days and everything was excellent. Room service, cleaning and staff, particularly Engine who was really nice to us. He speaks fluent spanish and is a credit for the hotel. I would come back again!

First visit to Istanbul and also to Barcelo. Great hotel, would recommend it to anybody. Everything was excellent - staff, rooms, location, cleanliness, concierge team, housekeeping team…. everything. We were also upgraded by the hotel which made our stay that bit more sweeter also. As above, would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who is considering it.

Very nice hotel, near a lot of great places. House keeping is great. Gentleman named OZAL is a very nice guy. He helped above and beyond with making sure we had water, and all hygiene tools. Will definitely recommend to stay here.

The room and the bathroom were big and clean. The room was equipped with a safe, fridge, kettle, ironing, tv, and phone. Slippers, shampoo, etc. can be found in the bathroom, which was equipped with a walk-in shower. The wellness part was also nice, the sauna and stream were hot enough, the gym is a little bit small, but you can find what you need and the scenic view is amazing. Breakfast and dinner were various and plenty.

I have no idea how this hotel is so high rated. Room was as basic as it could be. Clean yes, bathroom was ok, but nothing special about this hotel. The only pretty area was the lobby but our room was not as pictured. I guess they gave us whatever cheapest room they could. I would rather stay at a bunch of other hotels and would have paid the same for way better. I would rate this a 3.5 highest. Not the 4.7 rating is has. I would not stay here again. Also they wanted to charge us almost double for a simple upgrade. No thx I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Wonderful hotel close to Taksim Square. It's rooms are comfortable, well organized and extremely well cleaned. The breakfast and lunch/dinner venue, at the first floor, is well organized too, with a good offer of continental and local food. Pretty good is the gym at 11st floor from where you can benefit a wonderful view of the Istabul skyline. Attendants and waiters are very professional.

Terrible service. Reminded Room attendant and Reception 2 times each that my Safe box is dead. It needs the batteries to be changed. It was never done. I leave 2 days from now and it is of no use any more. Reminded the same Departments that the shower needs to be cleaned and fixed No response. It clearly reflects on Senior Management and their interest in Customer service. If they do not push why would the Team Members bother. I am a hotelier with 40 years International Experience and know what I am talking about.

We arrived at the hotel and it turned out that I made a mistake in the time of the reservation. The professional and kind staff reassured us and promised that they would take care of our room. We received amazing care and treatment, professional, pleasant and smiling. We got a luxurious room. The location of the hotel is perfect. Great valet. A few weeks ago visited the terrace bar and meet gm and assistant gm. they know how to make a girl happy. yesterday I tried my chance again but didn't see the great gm. anyways it was a great hotel, hotel gm and assistant. I'll be back to stay next time.

I went to a hair salon in this hotel. I'm so impressed with their hospitality. I asked about my issue at the front desk and Dilek help me out. She is so lovely and kind. Arkan is the best hair stylist ever. I'm satisfied with what he's done! I also enjoyed talking with him:)

Spacious clean rooms, great service and amazing location within walking distance from Istiqlal Street. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food. You won't find a better place to stay at in this location. Totally recommend

Stayed with my family for 7 days and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are a nice size for 2 adults with a spacious bathroom. The hotel location does not offer any great views but the location is right in Takism square with lots to do in walking distance. The staff is great and there is security at the gate and hotel entrance 24/7. We had daily breakfast which is buffet style and there are plenty of fresh delicious options. It’s about a 35-45 minute drive from IST airport without major traffic. Large passenger vans for a family of 6 are easily accessible during the day. It cost us $800 Lira to the hotel. I do not recommend renting a car and driving in Istanbul.

The best point about this hotel is its staff. They are kind polite, and very helpful. I have to mention Mitra, she is such a wonderful amazing person that help us lots during our time in the hotel. The overall infrastructure in the hotel is good. The breakfast is really good! Concierge also helped us a lot for getting us direction, reservations or taxis. Thank you so much!

The hotel's location is distinctive because it is close to Taksim Square. The place is quiet and the staff are very nice. I wish more attention was paid to entertainment within the hotel, such as increasing sports facilities, as well as choosing calm music during breakfast. My deep thanks to those running this hotel.
