The Hamamhane is where you want to stay if you are on the European side of Istanbul. Boutique Hotel, modern, immaculate beds are a dream for deep sleep. The street it's on is quiet and low key but you are only minutes away from main attractions and busier streets and places. All the hotel staff incredibly helpful and kind. The Breakfast, coffee and tea superb. They even have a free happy hour. If you are interested in a massage or turkish bath go next door, get a 10% discount and enjoy services in a very professional and amazing spa. The rooms are like mini apartments with a kitchen area..yes a built in cook top, microwave, sink..fridge and a hidden washer/ dryer.. super value hotel. Loved our time here.

I didn’t visit the hotel, i only try the restaurant because i live around this place, I tried their breakfast, and the scrambled eggs were delicious. After finishing my breakfast, I ordered a latte, which was good, and the waiter, Zehra, was very kind. She even gave me two pieces of homemade cookies. If you happen to be in this area, you should definitely visit this place. It's cozy and has a great atmosphere.

This hotel was a complete surprise and discovery. I've stayed in many hotels in Istanbul, but this one beats them all. Even big and established brands. A perfect combination and setting where you feel like you are staying in the home of a close friend. Spotlessly clean, very well and tastefully furnished. The staff are all very friendly and helpful... I highly recommend this place. Will come again since I visit Istanbul and Turkey frequently.

We stayed at Hammamhane for 5 days. The stars I have just given for the hotel and the staff are not enough. Best location, the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in our whole life, excellent service, scrumptious breakfast, 7/24 hrs front office support, and many more..They are an excellent example of Turkish Hospitality- We ,the whole family, agreed to stay at the same hotel for our future visits. It was like a dream..Thank you so much everybody who made our stay marvelous!!

Living in Ankara, we visit Istanbul very often. We have stayed in many very nice hotels, including the Ritz and the Soho House, and Hammamhane is still very much our first choice. They are affordable, thoughtful, COMFORTABLE, and in the best location in the city. They have gone out of their way to make our stays there amazing and we are so grateful for their fantastic customer service. The staff speaks English and Turkish, which is really helpful.

The hotel is in a quiet part of the city, without much traffic, and at the same time very close to Istiklal and Taksim. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent.

Hammamhane in Istanbul is a true gem for those looking for a cozy boutique hotel experience. With a total of 28 rooms, the atmosphere remains intimate and personal - hospitality is truly at the forefront here. The closeness and friendliness of the staff particularly stand out at this hotel. During our 5-night stay in a studio room, we had to change rooms after the first night due to our neighbors being quite loud. Unfortunately, the walls in the hotel aren’t very soundproof. However, this minor issue was swiftly addressed by the accommodating staff. The studio was spacious and decorated in an appealing Boheme style. We especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. Although a bit on the smaller side, the bathroom was always clean and functional. Our balcony overlooking the courtyard provided a pleasant oasis of calm. The breakfast, included in the price, impressed with its quality and variety. We particularly enjoyed the daily changing selection of Turkish specialties. Another commendable aspect is the hotel’s sustainability approach to the breakfast buffet: there’s minimal waste, and fresh items are frequently replenished. The hotel’s location is optimal. Tourist attractions are within approximately 15 minutes on foot, yet the hotel is situated in a pleasantly quiet area. Various restaurants and shopping options are conveniently located nearby. I can highly recommend the Hammamhane Hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Istanbul. Excellent!

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The hotel is hip and has a nice relaxed vibe. The guys on reception were very helpful with anything required. The location is excellent - quiet but has vibey bars, restaurants, galleries and coffee shops etc nearby. Also right next door to a great Turkish bath (10% discount) and also a yoga studio. Also has great transport links via the T1 tram to tourist areas and ferry etc (but is also walking distance to everywhere too).

Our stay in Hammamhane was unforgettable, a true home-away-from-home experience. I initially made contact via email to check for availability of their studio apartment for our travel dates, and they immediately booked it for us as well. I highly recommend booking with Hammamhane directly as you get a number of benefits, including a very reasonable airport transfer on arrival. Each studio apartment seems to have its own identity, all the facilities are extremely modern and spotless with a kitchenette and washing machine. The hospitality and service was some of the best we experienced in all our travels, the hotel is on a hilly, single lane road and upon arrival by taxi they immediately carried our bags in and gave us an early check-in. They offered us free coffee and tea anytime during the day on request and their breakfast was excellent. They are in a very artsy district, walking distance from Istiklal street as well as the T1 tramline and the ferries, so it's a perfect mixture of local cafes and restaurants with quick access to all the usual tourist spots. They also have bars and wine bars easily accessible from the 1st floor entrance over the Hammam but far enough away that you don't hear any noise from your bedroom. I enjoyed every minute that we spent at Hammamhane and in this neighbourhood, my only regret is that we didn't stay here longer. Highly recommended and I cannot wait to return someday!

Very nice hotel and wonderful staff and owner. Omer and Yosuf went out of their way to help us when we missed our flight and ended up back at the hotel. They gave us a late check out and the owner helped us switch to the quietest room available so we can get some rest after an exhausting night at the airport. Highly recommend and we’ll surely be back when in Istanbul.

Great hotel all round - service, food and rooms were all absolutely excellent. Breakfast was one of my favourite ever hotel breakfasts, great variety, home made produce, and lovely space to eat in (outside also great). All positives about our experience, and the staff recommended good local restaurants too. Super helpful.

Nice little Hotel. Very good service. Good breakfast. Clean rooms with kitchenette and washing machines. Very central and good connections to shopping, eating and public transportation(10 min walk). Would definitely choose again for a next stay. Good value for your money.

Incredibly helpful staff. Went above and beyond to help us with our super heavy luggage, a couple of streets away from a taxi. A very clean and cozy room as well with an incredible historical attached hammam that we were pleasantly surprised to get a 10% discount at. Would highly recommend

We stayed here for one night on our visit to Istanbul. It’s on a cute street with some antique shops and local maker stores. Our room had a washer dryer, which we weren’t expecting but made use of. The beds were extremely comfy, and the room was well equipped. Breakfast was amazing! We would definitely stay here again- no question.

Fabulous hotel!! I stay in Istanbul all the time and this is prob the best value for money so far. Close to the tourist areas but quiet. Beautiful arty rooms. Comfy beds. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. And you’re 50m from a really good Hammam. The whole place smells like olive soap :)

This is the best hotel in Istanbul. You get the old city, access to the most beautiful historical areas, it is very silent because is located away from large streets. It is very clean, very fresh design inside and also cozy. You have a lot of place outside and an amazing breakfast. Very friendly and helpful stuff. This is my home when in Istanbul!

Super happy that we stayed at this hotel - amazing area with lots of vintage stores nearby, close to Galata Tower and the biggest shopping street, but it’s still nice and quiet. Our room (actually like a small apartment) was perfect! The breakfast was good too. All in all, very happy with the hotel! P.S. the Hamam next door is the best!

Such a lovely stay! SO polite and helpful staff!! They didn't let us move our luggage for a moment, and moved it to the room, gave us information about the whirling dervishes and a cruise, the breakfast was delicious and very good and long hours, the hotel is amazing and such a great vibe! They also gave us a little new year's gift 😊 They have a sweet cuddly orange cat and look after cats around, decoration is great and the room is beautiful! The bed is SO comfy, we slept very well! Highly recommended!

I stayed here one night only but it was impeccable. The staff were great and helpful. The decoration is awesome and serene and there are some friendly house cats lounging around too. Thumbs up 👍

Very nice and friendly hotel/apartments. The staff is very helpful. Good breakfast. The rooms have washing machine and a kitchenett if you stay for a longer while. Located in the middle of the old city center. But still in a quiet street. Beautiful antique stores all around. There's even a nice hamam next door. I highly recommend!

I don´t know where to start. My sister and I had a problem with our airbnb and the owner was so kind: he allowed us to check-in earlier and he offered us to have breakfast. The room was very comfortable, clean and plenty of light. The staff was very kind too. Thank you very much, you' all really helped us to enjoy our last days in Istanbul!

Stayed there three times — recently a few weeks ago and five years ago before that. They keep improving already a wonderful hotel with beautiful suites. Location is excellent in close proximity to cafes, restaurants, cool and artsy shops, museums, etc. Suite amenities and decor are top notch. The breakfast is very good. Too bad I did not have time to visit the Turkish bath that is part of the hotel. (It was not operational during my first two stays. From outside it looks great.)

The son of the owner should learn how to treat customers. He lacks good manners and politness. I stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks with my husband. When back to say hello after 2 months, he pretended not to know us... and asked us to leave! Really speechless. I regretfully gave a high rate in tripadvisor.. will try to delete it for sure.

Knowing where to stay for the first time in Istanbul is a daunting prospect. After much research we decided on Hammamhane and were extremely impressed. It is in the narrow, winding and hilly streets of Cihangir, which is super groovy and very hip, yet surprisingly quiet in comparison to some of the busier neighborhoods. Tons of restaurant options as well as bars and it is easy to walk everywhere (albeit hilly!). The hotel itself is clean, beautifully presented, good breakfast (although as vegans it would be nice to have some more vegan options such as plant based milk for coffee) and incredibly comfy beds! We appreciated the bottles of water as well as the washing machine in our room. It is also connected to a Turkish bath & spa and on our final day in Istanbul we booked ourselves in for a treat and it was a wonderful highlight to our amazing time in Istanbul. Hammamhane is highly recommended. Thank you! MKF family (visiting from Portland, Oregon & New York City USA).

Being 1st time in Istanbul, and without understanding the city, it's quite difficult to choose a location then a hotel. There are just s much opinions about which area is good and which to avoid. This was one by absolute chance. The initial deciding factor was when I saw the washing machine in the room. Yup. And the rest was history. The Hotel is tucked is quaint, quiet and safe location. Also sandwiched in-between Istiklal Caddesi and GalataPort. Everything is within walking distance. Away from the madness of touristic areas. A place where I could call home for a short while. Also many great restaurants surround the hotel. It's kinda difficult to explain how the positive dynamics of the entire staff there. Bulent, Tasim were constantly making sure our stay was a great one. Readily to offer suggestions as to what to do...get lost in Istanbul to discover the city. The ladies that made us breakfast were like mamas ensuring the kids get fed. Love them. We sure did have a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back again.

We stayed for 10 days and we enjoyed everydays of it. Mr. Bulent and his son are both very friendly and helpful. The studio room gives you feeling like home. (however the bathroom and shower are too small). The breakfast was superb. (Definitely missing it). If you want to stay close to all the happening, shopping, cafe and restaurant, We will definitely recommend this place.

I am staying here July 6-12 2022. Close to the action but far enough from the noise, a perfect location. The Staff could not be any friendlier and helpful with any question I had. No one bothers you but when you need something they are there. Free breakfast is served fresh and eggs are cooked there on the spot for you. Air condition and all appliances seem brand new.

Perfect hotel. Beautiful, modern staff awesome great breakfast and more. Quiet street close to transportation hubs, Cafes and major action areas, restaurants, bars etc. Rooms also have a small kitchen and washer/ dryer neatly packed behind a door. Spa and Turkish Bath next door, immaculate and professional. Highly recommended this hotel. Great value and service.
