Tiny restaurant with seating outside serving all vegan dishes. They had a good offering from salads, wraps, sandwiches, dumplings, fake meat dishes & desserts. Very friendly staff and they have a money box not for tips but for helping animals! I got vegan meatballs with potato which was very comforting. I also got a salad takeaway which was nice, fresh & tasty with the sauces and dressings. My friend got a mixed salad plate which looked good and had a mix of everything. She also got a spicy turnip juice which was interesting to say the least.. it was like a Turkish gazpacho broth. Not for the faint hearted lol. Good place to go for down to earth vegan food.

Good vegan food in Balat! They have outdoor seating with a view :) plenty of seats inside too. They have a huge menu! So many dishes to choose from, Turkish food and international food. The dumplings are like little raviolis :) they also offer many types of cakes and desserts and even vegan baklava! They're really lovely people and we stayed a while chilling on the balcony!

Very cool place to visit in Balat. Loads to choose from on the menu! We loved the homemade dumplings & baklava the best. It was reasonably priced and you could pay with card. Nice indoor seating, wifi available if you ask staff and you need it for the menu online as well. Go here with an empty stomach and you won’t be disappointed! All vegan food which was 👌🏻

I cannot say enough good things about the Veganarsist Balat location. It’s proximity to some of the mosques and other highlights of Istanbul make it a great and convenient location. The neighborhood itself is really neat to walk around in as there is lots of color and vibrancy. But the best part for me was finding Veganarsist. For starters the food is incredible if you are looking for rich flavorful filling takes on traditional local dishes you’ve come to the right place! I had numerous menu items and went three or more times during my stay in Istanbul. ALWAYS say yes to the desserts try a new one every time you go because I’m sure you’ll be back. If the food wasn’t enough, the atmosphere and the people are what make this place feel like home. The owners, their cute dog and the rest of the staff truly treated me like family. I couldn’t have found a better place to spend time at or just enjoy my last night at in Istanbul. Truly thankful to have came here and have met the wonderful people that have made the Balat location one of a kind. ♥️ Sending love and light to you all and much success in the future!

Such a nice place and so friendly and welcoming people! And the food was excellent. We had a salad, turkish dumplings, vegan meatballs and for dessert semolina cake and baklava and everything was so delicious! Also, they have a terrace with really nice views. We definitively come back!

The food was super good! It was a great surprise in Balat. I was looking for some vegan traditional Turkish food and it was an excellent idea to go there. They have a huge variety of dishes and everything we ordered was perfect! It is a small restaurant in a cozy street. There are places to sit outside and on the first floor.

One of the best healthy and vegan restaurants in Istanbul. The menu is huge and there are a lot of varieties. The salads are very well combined and the vegan wrap was just amazing. The atmosphere is really calm, keeping you out of the Istanbul chaos for a while. Highly recommend !

Cute restaurant with super tasty vergan meals. You can sit outside in front of the store or inside on one of the floors. There is also a terrace upstairs. The portion sizes are well chosen, the vegetables are fresh and all three dishes ordered were really tasty.

Must for Vegan/vegetarian!!! Perfect food, staff, and atmosphere! Highlight of the whole trip because you get to taste veganized Turkish meat dishes!! And in a tourists destination, the price is amazing portion is biiig! Thank you!

This place is just amazing. I was here for lunch and I enjoyed every meal! I had Turkish dumplings with garlic yogurt and tomato sauce - it was stunning. I also had vegan lahmacun. It is served with a lot of fresh vegetables and was really delicious. The staff is so good, they smile so much and they are very polite! So many vegan options and they all are traditional Turkish cuisine! I highly recommend this place, will definitely come here again!

I visited this lovely little cafe on my recent trip to Istanbul. The food I chose was extremely tasty and the staff were very welcoming and gave me lots of information about the local area. The cafe had tables and chairs out on the pavement and it was a pleasure to eat fantastic food in the sunshine and watch the world go by. I cannot rate it highly enough.

Vegan meatball dish was ok, I liked the potato salad more. The lamachun with the fixings was super tasty. There is a rooftop seating. Nice ambience for restaurant.

We went here for lunch while visiting Balat. There are not a lot of vegan restaurants in this area, but we are so grateful that this cute place exist. The view from the terrace is pretty. The food was great and tasty. I was a bit enthusiastic when ordering, because it was actually too much for my stomach. Luckily I could have a doggybag so I was able to enjoy it the next morning. The owners are also very warm and friendly, they even gave some other vegan recommendations for Istanbul which we could appreciate. Thanks for having us and maybe one day you'll open one in Amsterdam ;).

Good variety of choices on the menu. But burgers have a lot of room for improvement. upd. Response to owner Our burgers were far away from the photos from previous reviews. Too small amount of souces and other content. The cutlet itself had a very dry edge in one of the burgers.

I loved this vegan cafe! Lahmacun and Turkish dumplings were ideal! I also had lentil soup and liked it a lot. The view is stunning - we were sitting on the rooftop with the view on Haliç. Every staff member was very polite and friendly. And the best part - everything was VEGAN!!

We stumbled upon this amazing place for vegetarians. And this is one place where we could try vegetarian versions of authentic Turkish dishes. Loved the Lahmacun.

Great Place to eat Vegan and they have Gluten Free Options (meals and sweets). You can sit inside or outside and the People are very friendly.

Extremely nice and helpful staff, there is a beautiful terrace on the top floor and the both dishes we order was very yummy and delicious 👌 The best dumplings I had here filled with lentic ✌️They have amazing variety of vegan foods also.

The best vegan restaurant in Istanbul, and we've tried a lot already. They have a large menu which also includes veganized traditional Turkish meals. Also a lot of desserts on the menu. The peach cobbler and pistachio Magnum were so delicious! The interior is freshly renovated and the owner is really nice and helpful. We'll definitely come back again.

A huge menu at a very fair price! Nice touch with the roof terrace too. Set in the beautiful neighbourhood of Balat, really nice to have a wander round. The food was good with good portions, try their baklava!

Cool cosy place in the vibrant Balat area. I enjoyed vegan chocolate cake (coffee flavour). The staff are friendly, highly recommended place to visit and try their vegan menu 😊.
