Guard greets you with widest possible smile, receptionist makes sure to drop you to your room with instructions on key phone numbers. Large rooms, tasteful decor, firm beds and combo of soft n hard pillows for that well deserved good night sleep. Breakfast starts at 6:00, good for the plans when you have to leave early.

Its really good 5 star business hotel, staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food is delicious. They have 3 restaurants and 1 bar. Very close to airport. However its not so great if you just wanna dine in. Nothing bad about it but there is no such ambience, you have far better restaurants in city with relativily lower cost, wide menu, and great ambience for dining outings.

I really liked this hotel and will stay again when I return to Chennai. We got a club room as it came with an airport transport, which I wanted for our very early flight. The room was spotless and comfortable. It was also very quiet even though our room was facing the highway and the airport. The cocktail service in the evening was in a private room on the club floor--the snacks were excellent Indian finger food (veg and non-veg) and nicely served by handsome attendants. I had drinks, but my wife wanted a chai. Although it was not part of the standard service they ran out and got her one. I'm only sorry we had to skip the breakfast.

Old but nicely managed 5 star hotel near Chennai airport. Opted a premier room at 2nd floor which was so spacious and elegant. Mattress could have been better but overall a good room. They have a great restaurant called cinnamon that serves select dishes which are of top class quality and taste. Amazing experience here.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel in a room on the ground floor. Instead of window curtains there is a sliding door, which needs to be shut all the time to maintain privacy. Room has all amenities and bed linen and towels are very ckean. Location is good too. The staff are very courteous and kind. Food could have been better. Overall it was a good stay.

on 26th October 22, we were invited for dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious, but what impressed me was the staff at the restaurant. They were charming, my aunt quite an elderly person was feeling very cold, so the team swiftly went in and got her a shawl and made her feel comfortable, the service was very friendly and in a very supportive manner. It was delightful to witness such service for regular people who visit their Hotel. I am floored by their courtesy. Hats off to the team.

Stayed here for a 12 hour layover due to a cancelled flight and so glad we did. Very close to airport and staff was warm and helpful even at 3 am. There is a small bath tub along with shower and a temperature controlled swimming pool (didn't use). Breakfast spread was very good and make to order Egg Benedict was very well done. Sound from airport was minimal in our room and was not a problem for us.

And to top it all of, the service is excellent, never once did they fail to deliver on any service requested and in fact exceeded expectations almost every single time. They have a lot of amenities like swiming pool and more that I didn't get the chance to utilize because of my schedule. Positive: Wonderful hotel. Great location, close to airport. Shuttle service was excellent, very professional. I was greeted with respect and hospitality, even a glass of juice while checking in. Breakfast buffet was delicious with many choices of Indian and western foods. Service was impeccable. Skillful and friendly. Negative: Original desk clerk offered to have tea brought to my room and newspaper in the morning. Neither arrived. Also, he told me that the spa was booked. Later, another clerk said that was for yesterday, not this morning. He immediately led me to the steam room which was all I wanted. It was delightful.

Hotel is older style and because airport hotel, guests arriving all night. Sadly the rooms are not sound proof so we were woken from repeated slamming doors and loud neighbours who seem to think we want to share their loud hallway conversations at 11pm! We don’t. So it was fellow guests and rooms not being soundproof that made this far from a 5 star experience. We enjoyed yoga in the gym, swam in the pool, tried the steam room, and really loved this! Again staff wonderful and helpful. Little touches need improvement: Fruit not fresh in gym (apples soft and powdery) nor was water with lemon not fresh or sparkly. Tea and coffee in rooms very poor selection and very dated. Tiny milk pots only. Please have refillable water throughout hotel to encourage minimizing plastic bottles. We ate outside at local restaurant down the road so that we didn’t have to be around the fellow guests who think they are so important and are so rude to the hotel staff. It upset us how self important and rude and demanding the guests are towards the hotel staff! Would not stay again mainly because we needed a good sleep and were all packed into noisy rooms with street noise on top of the noisy guests.

Wow! The hospitality and passion for service touches and impresses you! I had the best experience in a long time at check-in, at the bar, at the spa and at the restaurant (Samudra). Even though it's been around for a long time (since 1986), it feels cozy and we'll maintained. 10 minutes from the airport is hard to beat. Please keep up the great service! Highly Recommended!

Located quite close to the airport, this is one of the better 5 star properties in Chennai and it certainly lives up to its reputation. The property is well maintained and clean with the rooms quite spacious and modern and stocked up with amenities. The staff here are wonderful and courteous, something quite relatable with the hospitality industry in India . They are always ready to help and make your experience better. The breakfast buffet is quite good and you should definitely try during your stay here. I am a frequent visitor to this property and till date I have never been disappointed by their service.

It was an amazing experience with Trident hotel, Chennai, Meenambakam. Overall stay was relaxing and enriching. The staff has been courteous and friendly. Especially front office executive Laxman. All the requirements was taken care by him in no time. The hotel staff's were friendly and very quick. The rooms are clean, and the hospitality was great. Had a nice and pleasant stay. Service is top notch. Housekeeping and In room dining staff took care of all asks and went the extra mile to take care me. In room dining is 24/7. Breakfast buffet has a nice spread. Starts from 6.30 am and is available till 10.30 am. They have a pick up and drop service from the airport. You can also avail the mini for a cab. Very close to the airport and us conveniently located to any place that you would like to visit in Chennai. Nice rooms. You have a spa as well. Great place to stay on a business trip.

A compact and simply decorated hotel. Not too much space around which you may prefer for the price paid. The pool and gym are kept more as a checklist as they are not too large or equipped beyond generally seen. The food had a mixed experience. I was only at Cinnamon. For the price you pay nothing extraordinary but nothing to complain about much as well. Like many five or seven star hotels in the south, they don't know how to make a good filter coffee. The beer menu can be revamped to have something exclusive. Good for business stays.

Stayed here for a night as we had an early morning flight next day. Reception of the staff could be trained to have a better approach and behaviour wise. The pretence of the niceties can be looked through. Bar staff were better. Food was decent not wow.

Loved my stay at Trident Chennai! What's not to like?! Trident Chennai is a warm and gracious property and the level of service across the entire team was exemplary. Well appointed rooms, very tastefully done and feels very homely. I had an awesome view of the runway which was quite the icing on the cake! Facilities used : Bar, Restaurant and Gym. Highly recommended and my only regret is that it was such a short stay!

Went for a casual Sunday Lunch with family. Food in Cinnamon Restaurant was decent with fair service. There were a little housefly menace but maintenance took care of it upon raising concern, so giving 4 Star instead of 5.

Very tidy rooms, very comfortable stay and very well trained kind & professional staffs who tried to understand if may be any medical assistance may be needed for them given that they are Sr. Citizens and asked if they may be allergic to any food items that they may keep at Mini bar. Very nice hospitality. Hotel provided everything right from tooth brush to soap, even bath robe. Simple hair comb costs Rs.5 was missing. I forget to carry that with me and it is missing there as well. I would have given 5 start if it was there. Tiny thing, but matters when they charge you premium.

A decent Property near to Airport with free Breakfast and Airport drop. Food here is not that much innovative and tends to be boring, if staying for longer duration. The rooms and Beds are comfortable. However, room service requires few reminders to get the optimum result. They have own fleet of cars for use of boarders. All the rooms are with Bath-tub. Overall, not a bad experience.

I had one of the most wonderful stays here. I stayed here for a night to attend an event, and the staff is extremely hospitable and friendly. The pool is really nice and breakfast is sumptuous too. A special mention goes out to Bala who went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable.

One of the highlights was the breakfast which had good choice, variety and yummy. The staff in the dining area was very attentive and responded quickly to every request, and all this with a smile. Certainly, the hotel has maintained the standards compared to from the days I used to frequent over decade ago. If you are a business traveler visiting Chennai, then Trident is the place to stay, given its convenient location. If you are driving in, then there is plenty of parking space with valet service thrown in for good measure.

Actually I went here for attending team meeting. Their meeting room was good and they allocated one person for that room their services was good and decent they explained everything calmly what we ask them. Their interiors are good and following the festival theme. Their buffet system is good why I told this they place the card name for dish with calories so we can track the calories and my favourite dish there's pepper chicken curry 😋

Old world hotel and you really feel it. We were given a twin room instead of a double, and told that it was not possible to change unless we took a smoking room. The room smelt of damp and was generally not great. The breakfast was plentiful, but the cooked meal took ages to arrive - we thought they forgot. I’m sure there are better airport hotels nearby if you need a short rest. If you choose this one, then be prepared to visit 1992.

**Review of Bad Experience at Hotel Restaurant Dining** My recent dining experience at the hotel restaurant was nothing short of a complete disappointment. From disorganized staff to a lackluster menu, the entire ordeal left me feeling frustrated and hungry. First and foremost, the restaurant staff seemed utterly disorganized and out of place. Multiple servers would come to take the same order, but when it came time for the food to be delivered, it was nowhere to be found. I had to remind the staff multiple times about my order, only to be met with apologies and excuses for their forgetfulness. Adding to the frustration was the fact that despite having an extensive menu, most items were unavailable. How can a restaurant in a city like Chennai not have dosa, a staple comfort food, readily available at all times? It was baffling and added to the overall sense of disappointment. To make matters worse, the restaurant manager's lackadaisical attitude only exacerbated the situation. Instead of addressing the issues and ensuring customer satisfaction, all I received was a half-hearted apology that did little to rectify the situation. Ultimately, the culmination of these factors left me in a state of hunger and dissatisfaction. To top it off, even attempting to order food through online apps proved fruitless, as they required a local number for registration, adding another layer of inconvenience to an already unpleasant experience. In conclusion, my experience at the hotel restaurant was marred by inefficiency, unavailability of essential menu items, and a general lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I left the establishment feeling hungry, frustrated, and utterly disappointed. It is evident that significant improvements are needed to elevate the dining experience and meet the expectations of guests. I’ve spoken to the hotel receptionist hope they improve.
