Let’s start with the good. Nice hotel, a bit tired but presents well and is comfortable. Good location being half way between Surfers and Broadbeach and cheap parking. Room service menu is great and is very reasonable priced. Staff are friendly . Issue starts when you need help. Reception don’t answer the phone, tried to call them multiple times over a few days and consistently not answering. Why do I need to call them so much…. Cause there is no phone number for room service… and Room service got 50% of orders wrong. From missing gravy and sauces to a completely different dish to what we ordered that was not even on the menu! At one point I had to go down to reception to talk to them about my missing food items, which they promised to send up… and didn’t. So not a bad place to stay.., just don’t expect any service/support after you have checked in

Location of this hotel is fine, close to broad beach but away from surfers, easily accessible by tram. The service I have to say is disappointing, called operator at 9:30pm tonight 3 times no pick up, had to send my son down to pick up a bath plug and tooth brush which was NEVER delivered. Initial entrance to the room the fridge was leaking with a towel catching the water, the room has a tired appearance with stains per photos and also shower door is leaking water into the outside despite closed tight. It needs a good look at cleanliness too, edges were full of dust. Just the stars on this hotel ranking does not match the service quality, called operator, call house keeping few times.. still no pick up. Gave up. The gym stinks with no air flow . I don't think I will book here again. Since many hotel options in surfers. Money not worth it.

The food seemed to be the only good thing about this place. Room service was yummy & the breakfast buffet had lots of options. Location was good too. But for the prices of the rooms you would think that the service would be much better than it was. Nobody even helps you with your bags, let alone shows you where the luggage trolleys are. The resort claims to be eco-friendly yet only supplies water in plastic bottles. The front of house staff dealing with customers were unhelpful and (politely) argumentative. Our room was already paid for, yet they refused to check us in until they charged our card. Parking was included in our booking yet they tried to charge us again. Same issue for buffet breakfast 2 days in a row.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Had the best experience. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was all right, staff paid enough attention so didn't have to wait for anything. We did have an issue where our air conditioner was not working in the room, complained to the front desk, and the engineer came and solved it within an hour. The pool area was well maintained and clean. The location is great as well and the tram station is right in front of the property. Would definitely stay here when we visit next time.

Reception staff were friendly and knowledgeable. When we went to our allocated room we noticed a yellow stain on one of the bedspreads and we were not able to open door to balcony. Upon advising reception these were remedied immediately. Went to Relish cafe for a snack. The staff there again were friendly and polite. Food costs were reasonable and food excellent However, noticed that the floor was quite dirty and looked like it had not been washed for quite a while. There were liquid stains and dirt and scuff marks all over the floor. Time for someone to get hold of a bucket with some hot soapy water and give the floor a good scrub and then get out a buffer and go over the floor. The same can be said about the reception area.

Amazing! I told Nicole at the front desk it was my birthday and she was incredible.... left a beautiful birthday card with greeting in my room with a bottle of red wine. She also gave me one of the newly refurbished rooms on level 14. Absolutely incredible. New and luxurious. I love the big spa bath type tub and the view was beautiful. She ended up giving us free parking as well, normally $18. I loved the pool area and jacuzzi. There is fresh fruit at reception for you to help yourselves to. In summary, it was the best birthday I've had in years! Thank you Nicole and team at Crown Plaza Surfers Plaza!

This hotel is out of the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise but close enough when you want to visit the high tourist areas. Very short walk to the beach. Super friendly and efficient staff and management. Great room with good hot water and pressure. Our room was recently renovated and had excellent facilities. The breakfast buffet was probably the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. Fantastic variety, well laid out with lots of choice, super fresh food and again, excellent service. Will definitely be back. Outstanding stay.

Best hotel we’ve stayed in! The view on our room was breathtaking day and night! Absolutely love it! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the buffet breakfast! Thank you for including fried rice it was delicious. I just wish the pool was heated or at least a little as it was always freezing. I will definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! I would highly recommend to families and friends.

Nice spacious rooms and good service. The restaurants on site are reasonably priced however there is nothing else nearby so unless you're willing to travel the food options are limited. Room service was nice and arrived quickly and hot. Bed was comfortable and the bath was a nice touch however no bubble bath or bath salts available (body wash is attached to the wall in the shower and by the sink). Shower pressure and temperature was inconsistent but good enough for a few days. The hotel is near the beach and there are flags nearby if you're up for a swim.

Having stayed here for the better part of a month for business travel, I feel like my opinion is extremely valid. The staff here are nothing short of outstanding. Always helpful. Management should be incredibly proud. Rooms are spacious, with a comfortable bed, and most importantly a hot shower with good water pressure. In room dining was delicious. Overall a wonderful place. Highly recommend.

A solid hotel undergoing a revamp. But what really sets it apart is the staff who are wonderful, from the front desk to the restaurant. They really went above and beyond for us with two young kids, including a vomit incident and allowing a late checkout. Honestly the staff service here is 10/10 and better than many 5 star hotels.

Stayed for 2 nights and had low expectations which were well exceeded. The service was excellent. Room service was prompt and staff were very helpful - early check-in and late check outs with no issues. Always had a smile on their face. We had a corner room towards the ocean which was very open with lots of natural light and great views. Breakfast buffet was okay. Location is great. It's on the main road which was always busy and safe. Very close to the beach.

I visited here to celebrate my birthday. When I told them about my birthday, a wonderful service was prepared in my room. Very great staff service. It was also nice to be able to see the sea from the room. Also, the breakfast in the morning was a buffet, and it had a lot of variety and was very delicious. It's right in front of the tram station, so transportation was convenient. I would also like to use it when visiting the Gold Coast.

As an over thinker I usually hesitate to stay at new Hotel’s that aren’t recommended by friends or family. And this Hotel did not disappoint, they allowed us to have an early check in, they offered a complimentary room upgrade, (THE OCEAN VIEW WAS BREATHTAKING ) The location was great close to the beach ‘5min walk’ & the view was perfect. The Staff were absolutely lovely & helpful. The kids enjoyed the open breakfast buffet,room service, pool & tennis court experiences . There is a tram station just outside the hotel. Absolutely recommend for families.

My friend and I booked a room here over the weekend. There was a long queue to check in but we were eventually served by Abby. Thank you Abby for the warm welcome and local recommendations. The room was nice and comfortable. During the stay we experienced a fire alarm and our whole floor had to evacuate. It went on for some time but another lovely staff member Erika reassured us and other guests of the situation (which ended up being a false alarm). Regardless, we still had a great stay. The beach was within walking distance and we also liked how the tram stops directly outside the hotel. Made things super convenient! Will definitely book again 🏝 🌞

During our stay we found what looked to be snot on the shower wall that was there that long black mould was growing on it, hair in the drain (attempted to pull out thinking it was only some hair but it had alot of gunk in it). Toilet bowl not cleaned. Shower would not hold 1 temperature, was cool then hot then cool then warm then cool then hot then warm then hot etc. Reception ignored/chose not to hear my comments/complaints on the state of the room.

The hotel has the BEST service I have encountered in my multiple years of hotelling all over the planet. ( Must mention here, Nichole, Brooke, Andrew) Spotless large rooms, pillows galore, an actual bath, and shower, large TV,🥰 great views. Exceptional, and friendly room service. Affordable prices. No comparison...5 star.

We visited from Brisbane for a mid week getaway with our family. The reception clerk was very welcoming and thorough during our check in. The rooms are well presented and stocked with the usual toiletries etc. The pool and spa were very inviting. Room service is available for a $5 surcharge or free for orders of $100 or more. It can be done online and was delivered quite quickly. The property is located within a few hundred metres of the beach front and has a number of cafes and restaurants also in walking distance. There are also 2 casual dining restaurants on site.

I came with a friend and we had an amazing stay. We were given a high floor which just had the most amazing view of the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable. We had two Queen beds, a really nice deep bath and a spacious shower. The beds were very comfortable with the most amazing pillows. The next day we were a little slow as we had a big week and so I asked reception if we could have an extended check out and she gave us an extra hour for free, which I really appreciated. It has a fantastic location as it’s walking distance from the beach, and was perfect for our stopover on our road trip. The food was really nice as well, we had room service and it was reasonably priced and efficient. The service was top tier as well. I will definitely be back with more of my friends and family.

Great service and very delightful rooms, it's all very fancy. A great location as it's only a few blocks away from the beach and a tram station is right outside. Only downside is the lack of stairs, even if it was just to the first floor.

Nice views up high and staff were very helpful. The hotel is starting to show its age although some aspects of our room had been updated. Breakfast was good, but not as good selection as other IHG hotels. Tram stop is directly out the front which is handy. Also has a 11KW Tesla charger, but its positioned in the wrong spot and very difficult to access. See plug share for details.

Everything was good, thank you for upgrading my room, breakfast was great and delicious, lots of choice, which was really good. But… The plates, cups and bowls for breakfast buffet were so dirty, didn’t wash well, still oily or with lipstick on it… which was really gross, and many guests were also noticed that and tried to found clean one…

Having stayed here for about 3 weeks. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. But a special mention needs to be given. I suffered a medical issue whilst staying. The staff were extremely kind, sat with me, and made every effort to make me feel comfortable. The team should be proud of themselves. They called the ambulance on my behalf and made every step to ensure my safety. And seemed genuinely concerned. Following up with me the next day. I would have recommended anyone to stay here regardless. But they have gone above and beyond in this incident. Thanks again to the staff

This holiday was for my sons 18th birthday, and the the hotel did not disappoint in helping me make this trip special. I had a wonderful experience from booking the trip, up until the end of our stay. Absolutely amazing service from Brooke, Tibby, Oliver and the staff at Relish restaurant! There was a birthday card and champagne waiting in his room on arrival, as well as the staff sending treats to his room. All the staff were happy to help in any way. Thank you!

Very good experience staying w/ them, the front desk was super friendly and always ready for going far to cater for your needs. It’s up to international-standard. Swimming pool is cold during winter, an on-demand warning system might help. As an engineer who actually cares about eco-friendly systems, I’ll suggest a solar panel-battery pack for your pool-warming. The buffet was good as well, I like the mushroom w/ spinach and smoked salmon. Coffee could have been better.

I only just booked in and Nicole has been so lovely and because it's my birthday she brought up a bottle of wine to my room...talk about an excellent hotel...I'm originally from Sydney and have stayed at many Luxury Hotels Including the Shangri-la Sydney but my favourite is Crown Plaza Terrigal as it's down to earth and relaxing on the beachfront although this one tops all...Im staying again...thank you Nicole for you wonderful hospitality it has already been the best birthday.

We were allocated the wrong room on our booking (booked 2 beds, only got 1) when we raised it we were told there was nothing they could do, I had to push the matter and then they reallocated us - the room we were moved to was not nice, with only 1 chair and mould in the shower, and no ocean view (also on the original booking) It was also an adjoining room, and we were treated to the sound of a screaming child for most of the stay. Room did not match the photos at all. The shower has very little water pressure and no temperature control (either scalding hot or freezing cold). Due to the response we got for raising the previous issue, where we were made to feel like we were just whinging, we didn't feel comfortable raising any further concerns as we felt they would be brushed off. Considering the price, I am very disappointed in the quality of service and the quality of the rooms. Breakfast was also very overpriced, and not worth it, same as the frozen pizzas served on room service. Would not stay again, or recommend.

We stayed only 1 night. The room was clean and checkout was smooth with barely an inconvenience. 4 stars because; 1 - Check in was long due to only 1 staff at reception on a Friday evening when a lot of people are checking in. But they were helpful and courteous. 2 - Gym is a far cry for help. Many of the free weights are only single dumbbell. Treadmill make noises like its gonna fall apart. There is very little space between the equipment. So if there is more than 1 person, they are in each others' space.

This place is amazing! Bathrooms well appointed, room is spacious, room service was prompt, polite and hot! Service here is brilliant. Accommodating, polite, courteous and knowledgeable. The beds need updating but not enough to drop a star. Coffees and Aperol Spritz... the best. Thankyou for your amazing service.

shocking experience! we paid extra for a nicer room + king size bed, upon arrival, we get our key tag, go to the room, to find out it was a downgrade, 2 double beds and a fairly disgusting room including a dirty shower from old grime. long story short, we paid full price for our upgraded room, but had to stay in a downgraded room with no price change what so ever! will NOT BE BACK!

Clean, friendly and happy staff are always around to assist you. Beautiful views and lovely breakfast! We will definitely stay here again.

First time I stayed there and never again horrible experience definitely will be going somewhere better and they don’t own up to any of there mistakes when I have all the proof they would rather call you a lier but hard to do that when I’ve got proof so if anyone wants to see it I’m happy to share 🤗🤗🤗

This is our second time staying at Crowne Plaza and it did not disappoint. So central to everything on the Gold Coast due to being located near the Florida Gardens station of the G-Rail light rail system. Secure car parking available for $18 per night and buffet breakfast available for purchase. The hotel is currently renovating but this will not affect your stay.

Stayed here for 4 days 3 nights, very clean and great pool w private jacuzzi. However, the housekeeping was average and basic essentials were not provided until we asked for them such as toiletries. Customer service was great and loved the orange water at the front of the hotel.

A tired looking room with only minor upgrades evident, bath and shower were old and below average for the price of the room. Staff seemed more suited to dealing with business executives than real people on a weekend away. No minibar, not even fresh milk for coffee in the morning. Asked for a bucket of ice to be delivered to the room, half hour later, no delivery phoned the desk and they just asked if we still wanted it. Told them don't bother. Happy to pay more and stay at the Marriott next time!

Although the room wasn't ready on arrival, we were given free wine whilst waiting and a bottle of wine for the wait (less than an hour). Not only were staff kind and pleasant, the corner king room was gorgeous, with an amazing view and a huge bath tub. One of the best hotels I've stayed at and brilliant value for the cost per night especially when comparing versus some 5 star hotels. Also the breakfast included is amazing. Huge buffet with omelettes, barista coffee and all the breakfast food you could imagine. Basically only needed breakfast for the whole day.

Decided to do a short trip to the GC and booked here the night before. We arrived a lot earlier than our check in time, however, room was ready and we were able to check in. Lisa who was at the front desk was an absolute delight. She was super informative with the details of our stay, and we were incredibly happy with the service provided. All staff members were amazing and delivered exceptional service. Definitely will be coming back here again.

I will definitely stay here again. Room was clean, nice and spacious. Staff were absolutely exceptional. I didn't like the extra $18 for car parking as I'd already paid for a room, but would overlook that given the hotels facilities and the staff. Room service was also fantastic.

Now I never ever complain. Ever. But the shower was horrible and the air con wouldn’t work in the room. The shower was either ice cold or extremely hot, so hot that I couldn’t even stand in the shower with water on the floor, it was burning my feet. So we had cold showers every day and it really set the tone of our moods for the days. Mentioned it to the desk and was told engineering will have a look but they never showed then we’re told the District Manager will give us a call to see what they can do. Then the air con issue the air con was set to 18 but our friends room was beautiful, then came to ours and the room was so hot I barely could sleep. Again mentioned to the front desk and we were told it’s working. Mentioned it again they said engineers will come have a look. Didn’t show. Parking isn’t included and it’s a bit steep for $18 a night. For the price of the hotel in the condition it was, I would think parking would be a little better or the rooms a bit more better priced. I honestly wouldnt recommend. Only good thing about the place was The pool. Served great food and the bar was good value! And there was one lovely staff member at the desk but I never caught her name.

The only thing saving this hotel is the buffet system and location. that’s it. Everything else is disgusting, especially the customer service. - Rooms: duvet covers didn’t have ends sealed so the sheets would side off during the night leaving just the duvet without any covers. The taps were not maintained, high pressure water which splashes when you turn the tap on. Curtains were dropping down. Housekeeping would take the dirty beach towels from the room and would not return clean ones. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, made such a loud noise when attempting to close it that it would wake everyone up. - Laundry system is horrific, can not get to the laundry at all. There are two lifts on either side, and when trying to go down it is a game. Have to press the button and keep waiting for the left lift to open as that’s the only one that goes to the laundry. Have to wait 10-15 minutes since the right lift always came up. They should have a system that doesn’t mean pressing the button until hopefully the left lift opens - Reception staff are very rude, literally laughing at the customers. So unprofessional. Don’t think they know how to smile either, so disrespectful when speaking. The secretly laughing is what got me tho…. Even the manager seemed very judgemental. However, there were some staff that were very nice. Only a few. - Don’t clean the rooms properly at all.

There was face painting for kids the day we arrived. The pool area is good and reasonably maintained. Room maintenance was lacking, our room had a runny/dripping tap, which I'm sure could have been fixed with a simple washer replacement. We had a noisy neighbour in the neighbouring room at 3am, the hotel staff were reaonably quick to deal with it. The breakfast was to a high standard with a few extras, I highly suggest ordering a coffee rather than the machine one.

Rooms are clean and fresh and are spacious. It’s nice to not feel like you’re in a shoebox. I really like having a room where you can have fresh air & not stuck in air conditioning. Balcony was a good size with ocean view. Complimentary bottles of water in the room is nice however a more eco friendly option would impress me more. Staff were lovely and helpful. Didn’t use the facilities to be able to rate them. I would stay here again.

The front reception staff were lovely, however, our room was not serviced daily, I had to call reception and ask for it to be cleaned. A housekeeper came up and spent 4 minutes in our room. Bed not made, dirty glasses left, toilet roll not replaced, she didn’t refill teabags, no coffee mugs replaced. The next day, once again our room not cleaned, the housekeeping number was constantly engaged for hours and hours. Breakfast was very good and it is in an excellent location, across the road from the Tram station. I don’t think I would come back here unless they made big improvements to their housekeeping.

Stayed here for our first family trip. Location is perfect. There’s a tram stop at the front door. Friendly staff from all departments and the room was spacious. Our 20 months old daughter loved the pool. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful holiday here in January 2024. We really liked the large room, large comfortable bathroom, balcony overlooking the ocean! Opposite the entrance to the hotel there is a tram stop, from where you can easily get (1 stop) to the necessary places: servers paradise, streets with a pedestrian area and chic restaurants, casinos, etc. The pedestrian promenade and the beach are 5-10 minutes on foot. The responsive, friendly staff did not ignore our requests. I especially want to mention Daniyar. He was incredibly kind, he told us everything, helped us in all matters regarding the hotel and. Thanks to him, our trip was very comfortable and sincere.
