I stayed here for 3 nights only, as my 90 yr old Dad had been Hospitalised & was very I'll, so I Flew up from Melbourne Victoria to see him.. The place was Absolutely Filthy & not as advertised, Cockroaches running around room. Filthy table which I wiped with a wet one the first night.. No cups or Glasses. See through curtains.. Empty cask behind the Dirty bar fridge.... Shared. kitchen & Bathroom was Filthy. Microwave was burnt out.. Ricky the manager was very Rude to me on the first night.. I found out why. He would start Drinking straight vodka in the morning.. I only stayed 3 nights, On the 3rd & Last night I came back around 9pm & he came to me & asked to ring him an ambulance because he was crying Drunk & wanted to end his life.. When I went to, he says No, I just need a hug... Then he rung his boss from my room, saying hed had enough... He asked for 2 of my Cans of Vodka & Raspberry, I only had 4 but I felt sorry for him & gave them to him... He Told me he'd give me money in the morning.. Which he Didn't!! He was carrying on about not being able to see his 2 Children. I was coping with enough, at the time.. He asked me for a smoke & I Don't smoke.. It was Bloody ridiculous.. He finally left my room.... The next morning as I was leaving he said, sorry for last night mam.. Hopefully you'll be back & give me a good review... Are you kidding me

Great location however area is a bit rough.I stayed 3 nights 2 different rooms . One had a great mattress. Large shared kitchen. Can be noisy. Free car parking but limited. Trams close by to go to Surfers or Pacific fair Australia fair around the corner. Excellent shopping. Remember this place is Budget accomadation. Don't expect 5 star facilities.

If I could give it less then 1 star, I would. I have NEVER felt so unsafe and NEVER been as disgusted as i have in this place. From the moment i arrived i came upon a unpleasant, unhelpful, fat, rude man. Then I got to my room to find blood on the bathroom stick, urine in the toilet, no toilet paper, the fan had thick dust on it, TV doesn't work, sticky floors, bugs in the bed, doors that don't lock and undesirable people hanging around. I've had to move a cupboard in front of the door just to get some sense of security, I haven't eaten since my flight here as I don't feel safe leaving my room or leaving my things behind.

Ricky is the onsite manager. He goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is amazing. It's a budget hotel, however you won't get this level of warmth and service from the 5 star establishments. Highly recommended.

My second visit here in five years. This is an ideal base priced realistically amongst the madness of accommodation pricing on the GC. The facilities are clean, spacious and pretty much all you will need. The staff go out thier way to be helpful and even kindly stored my tent whilst I travelled up north for 6 days! The location is excellent, right on the Tram stop or a 30 minute walk into town if that's your thing. It's worth pointing out I'm an older traveller and can be picky, but this place ticked all the boxes for me! Highly recommended.

The room did not contain the advertised amenities. It did, however, contain cockroaches. So, so many cockroaches. The place looks like it's never been cleaned in its entire history. Absolutely do not stay here. Even for $50, it's not worth it. I promise you can do better.

The only good thing about this place is the onsite managers, they were lovely. But this place should be rated 1 star and should be $50 a night. This is more like a homeless shelter. They even let someone in off the streets to use to amenities and kitchen. No restaurant as stated just a kitchen for you to cook yourself. Although each room is locked, the building is left open at night, unsecured so anyone can walk in off the street and use facilities. No tv, lucky to have a fridge that works and cockroaches. This place should NOT be listed as holiday accommodation. No off street parking and you have to pay $10 a night to use their carpark which is half filled with a gym and people playing pool. Lucky I only live an hour away and was down on the coast for an event so I didn't even end up staying.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Arrival Accommodation in Southport, QLD. I was greeted with genuine hospitality and I felt immediately welcomed. The location of the accommodation is fantastic, with easy access to local attractions and amenities. My room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed ensuring a good night’s sleep. Ricky and his team went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Overall, my stay at Arrival Accommodation was exceptional and I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the Gold Coast.

Nicest and most generous owner I've met - always happy to help with requests regardless of obscurity. Clean rooms, friendly faces and good memories.

A loud environment from traffic and others staying, balcony doors wouldn’t lock. TV didn’t work. On a positive side, the fridge was really cold and the Pillows were awesome

This place should be shut down, don’t ever stay here. Unsafe, unsanitary, unhygienic, if you want to stay at a crackhouse. Negative star rating available ?

Let be honest here, the location/trams the stuff are okay but the rest No, I don’t recommend it if you have kids, after one week of stay there I had bed bugs bite in my body.. legs/arms/back.. they shouldn’t allowed dogs . .doesn’t matter how many times they cleaning, the bugs 🐜 are still there because they allow them inside. Sometimes they running around annoying my good sleep..

Staff were very accommodating to my needs, we booked a month early and accommodation was very tight but they went above and beyond for me. Helped me throughout the entirety of my stay & we’re always kind while they found ways to help whatever my need was. The entirety of the place was kept clean and they were very welcoming. I definitely recommend Arrival Lodge :)

Ideal for a quick stop on our East Coast road trip! It provides a place to rest, a toilet and shower and kitchen facilities. There is even a pool! Nice and clean - except for the fridge - it could’ve been doing with a clean. The guy on reception was new, but we had no problems at all, and the owner was lovely! She gave us some advice on beaches which was much appreciated.

Great place to stay when on a budget. Our room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

All of the photos are years old with no work done since. Possibly not cleaned since either. Cockroaches roaming the room. Bottom of bed frame water damaged. Rubbish in the small bar fridge. Wasn't in the room long enough to look at the sheets or in any other cupboards because I wanted to get out asap. Dust everywhere and broken window screens. Pool was green and feral. Asked for at least a partial refund because of the above and because literally walked into the room and straight back out but staff where rude and offered nothing. DO NOT BOOK OR GO HERE!

Arrived to find Agoda.com had taken my money and booking...to only find I had no room...I still haven't received my refund....NOT the hotels fault...only way to warn people about online booking... double check with the actual motel....

  • 2/5 Peter B. 1 year ago on Google
We booked a room through Agoda. Arrived late afternoon after a long drive, only to find out that no room was available. The guy at the reception seemed quite casual about it, as if it was a normal occurence.. when we walked out to find alternative accomodation we overheard how the next person walking in was turned down the same way. Tip: if you book here, don't do it through an intermediary. It appears to get overbooked all the time.. now let's see if I can actually get my refund..

These folks are community minded and they regularly host musical get togethers for anyone in the underground carpark. This alone for sure would have helped keep quite a few lives on track. They are super friendly and ever so willing to help guests. If you prefer a place that reflects the real world, it is a welcome break from being stuck on the 40th floor of an expensive 5 star. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the place operates at a relaxed place. There is activity, true, but it is by no means disturbing. The communal kitchen is clean and more than adequate. It feels more like staying with a family than at a hotel. For sure I'd go back if I were in the area. I forgot an item in my room and they called me the next day to arrange for me to come and pick it up. Thank you so much folks. See you again some time.
