I take my cavoodle here once every 6-8 weeks for the past 6 months to get groomed. She smells absolutely amazing afterwards and is super fluffy! Most other groomers she comes home tired and stressed out, but not here! Not to mention the great selection of toys, treats and dog food. For a small pet barn, it has everything you need!

What we particularly like at the Pertbarn store at Mermaid Waters is always very friendly and welcoming, with a good mood that always reigns. The Manager and Sharon and the other employees are very welcoming, we find everything for our dogs and fish. I can't say thank you enough to Sharon for all the tips for my Aquarium and my fish. From grooming and pet care to in store info and assistance, the staff at Petbarn Mermaid Waters are always so great to deal with! special mention to Lesa who helped us today with our online order. Her badge said she was new staff in training but you wouldn’t know it! Extremely friendly and helpful.

Manager was rude and insinuated the damage on an item I returned was caused by me. She was a young blonde, slightly fat manager. Didn't catch her name. Will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Have spent over $20k here in the past 7 years, so big mistake on petbarns behalf.

A professional nail trim and self doggie wash for $20, in a clean sanitised, indoor environment - not a car wash. Amazing. I threw away my dogs nail trimmers after this - you both don’t have to suffer nail torture. Set yourself free.

A smaller petbarn, but covers all the necessary items. The staff are extremely friendly and quite knowledgable on the products expecially the food items.They even have treats for the dogs that visit. Pet friendly of course

Our male Golden Retriever had a full groom. When calling to book in they assured us they had experience with grooming a golden retriever (long fur). We instructed a minimal cut with shaping. When we got home we discovered he had been shaven bare where we never gave permission. His tail and backside looks like it was hacked and now no shape other than hacked areas. We never authorised his stomach and genital area to be completely shaven bare as he is on sand every day and it irritates shaven skin. Being experienced Retriever owners for 40 years we have never seen a retriever come out of a groomer like this. In our opinion they have zero expertise in grooming/shaping a Golden Retriever and do not respect the clients wishes/instructions or bother to call to check. We strongly advise owners of Golden Retrievers (or even long hair dogs) to not use the Mermaid Waters, Qld grooming business. I would hive them zero stars if I could.

Easy parking, diy dog wash available (clean and well-maintained), my pup always gets a treat from staff so she loves coming there.

The grooming girls squeezed me into their busy schedule and Remy (our pug) has never looked so good! they gave him the works and he looks amazing, very happy!

My husband and I came in today to buy a Betta fish and we’re very fortunately greeted by Lilly who told us that we had to establish our tank prior to adopting our new friend. We are so grateful for her advice as we felt quite overwhelmed with all the information out there and she was able to give us some clarity and confidence when it comes to owning a fish. It was so nice to come across someone who genuinely cares about the animals and wants to ensure their safety and happiness and not just make a sale. Lilly showed us everything we needed to establish the tank and recommended food, plants, tank ornaments etc. We bought the essentials and rushed home so excited to get to work creating the best home for our new buddy 🐠 we will be back in 4-5 days to adopt the newest addition to our family 🤍 Thanks Lilly!

I come here all the time for dry and wet food. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Never had a bad experience. They are not as big as other stores so selection on frozen food is a little less but they have the staples my dogs eat. It's slightly expensive but they do allow price matching so if you buy online due to price check this option for local service as you need.

I had my golden retriever groomed here. The staff were friendly and accomodating. However, the groom was below average. The ears and face has long strand of hair left. It was poorly blended and the deshedding was almost non-existent. I will have to get her re-groomed.

I regularly go to this Petbarn as it is along the trip home. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I recently went on Saturday 9 September and I injured my back recently and the staff member offered to help me with the heavier items over to my car. It was so helpful and I really appreciated it. Thank you.

Big store great selection, has dog wash bays at back $10 for 10 minutes but you will need to wash very fast so not good for my elderly mum. Cost of products also on the high side for a pensioner so supermarket pet food seems to be better value unfortunately.

Just went in for a browse and check different items. Consistent with other Petbarns. Parking at the door and in car parking area.

FRIENDLY STAFF We attend this franchise at the Q Centre Shopping Centre regularly to get out pet supplies. We have always found the staff friendly and accommodating and genuinely helpful. We always get our discount by being a member of Petbarn and giving our phone number each time we shop. The store is clean and well organized. Parking outside the store is much easier here than in any other parts of the shopping centre. Accessibility is easy for wheelchairs and walkers. Your pet is more than welcome when you enter to shop. We attended the store during December to have a photo of our dog with Santa free of charge.
