This store has never really been stellar. In the last few years it has bottomed out. You can feel the 'omg customers... yark!' vibe as soon as you walk in... ask staff a question and it's as though you've majorly put them out. Scowls on faces, peering down the nose at customers, avoiding eye contact. It's sheer drudgery dealing with them. Then, when they decide to grace you with their miserable presence they prefer you bow and scrape to them... staff will show the most expensive option as a recommendation without really explaining why its superior, and expect you to buy it or they physically turn their back on you. Honestly little girl, little boy, in your $20 an hour job and you treat people as though you are the queen/god and customers are servants, good luck with that... Also, beware buying anything of significant cost here because if it breaks or doesn't perform they will use every excuse available get out of issuing you a refund. They've got kids running the show. You'd be better off driving to Uncle Toms in Brendan Drive. Old school service, not a rip, heaps better vibe. After the last episode at petstock Ashmore I don't and won't even bother anymore, even though it's right by two much frequented shops -Spotlight and Anaconda.

Always stocked with the essentials plus more. Helpful and knowledgeable staff in regards to vitamins, worming and pest treatment for your pet. Great points system which really makes a difference to your bills.

I asked one of the staff what hay she would recommend for my guinea pigs her response was it depends what the guinea pig eats I ask numerous times in different ways to get at least a recommendation from her as I have 3 at home so that didn't really help what I was looking for was more well this one is better than that one which all I got was a bit of sarcasm. I won't be going back there 🙁

Was my favourite pet shop, would not spend a cent elsewhere until the new cashier said i couldn't buy anything unless i had a mask, you've just lost a loyal customer

Had a horrible experience with Rachael today at Ashmore store, I was being served buy another lovely staff member who was super helpful as my 3 year old was just next to us in the isle apparently he knock off an item that I was unaware of but her her say stand next to you mum very firmly to him, then when I proceeded to the register to purchase a water pump she scanned it all the out and processed to say I charged you for an item you child damaged I was Is shock as she did not tell me it even happened just charged me for the item I had no idea what was going on she then told my son Off again in front of everyone at the resister for picking up a dog ball, she had no compassion or customer service skills whatsoever I’m so disgusted in her service and approach to my just turned 3 year old yesterday and that I was charged $13 for an item that I was totally unaware of.

I took my Cavoodle to Petstock Ashmore today for a groom. I was not told or warned about any company policy to muzzle a dog, if I had of known this I would have waited to get him in to my usual pet groomer. My dog has never growled or attempted to bite a groomer before. Maybe the groomer was heavy handed! Totally disgusting service and the managers attitude also disgusting. Never again Petstock Ashmore. 😡😡😡

Manager was more interested in his cordless vacuum than assisting with my inquiry about food for my puppy. Won’t go back - having spent a fortune here on puppy stuff in past 3 months. Did get amazing service from a young lady on my first 2 visits but this time was disregarded enough that I will not go back.

I’ve taken my dog here a few times for nail trims and grooming. The ladies are fantastic. They are so lovely to my dog, and I know whenever I take him he’ll be in good hands. Great quality grooming for a great price too! Thanks ladies for always making the experience so nice for me and my dog :)

They are selling out of date dog food so be sure to check the date. Proceed to tell me it’s okay to still feed it to my dog even tho it’s nearly 3 months out of date and still charging nearly full price with only $5 discount

I took my 18month old male Cavoodle there for a groom. The staff were friendly and looked after my boy. They called me after I left to discuss what they could and couldn't do and I was so pleased with the outcome when I saw my boy after his appointment. They listened to what I needed done and their rates were well priced for the service I was getting.

The staff are so professional and friendly. Mel in particular helping me with the purchase of aquarium products and fish. Everyone is so helpful ☺️

Will never come back here again! Horrible service and almost sold us out of date food for my animal until we realised it was completely out of date. Don’t mix sale items with normal items and certainly being in a retail industry there should not be any out of date stock still on the shelves.

Walked around the store and wasn't asked once if I needed help, when it was obviously clear I was looking for something I couldn't find. They then recommended me a $70 product that's not going to work for what I need it for. They won't return it, telling me that now I know better for next time when I come back. I'm sorry but after the extremely poor customer service I received, I won't be coming back at all. What a joke. Go to pet barn instead. At least they know what they are talking about and will save you not only money, but time as well.

Lovely man took the time to tell me all about Guinea pigs as I was looking at the cages. Told me everything he knew basically and helped me decide what cage type I need and everything I’ll need to get set up. Very friendly and helpful.

Petstock are right on the corner you can't miss them Friendly staff Dog washes Dog grooming and plenty of dry food to choose from I prefer Blackhawk Chicken Adult Large dog biscuits my Harry loves them He also smells all the good foods on his walk to the self wash dogwash. Petstock has everything for your pet or pets.

We took our Chihuahua yesterday to have her nails clipped, and Beth was absolutely fantastic with our dog. Our dog is not very friendly with people she doesn’t know. Beth was so calm and made the experience a lot less stressful. We have found our new groomer.

We had the worst experience at this store today. We booked our dog in for a groom at 9am. It was clearly booked for 9am and told it would be 1 hour as usual for our dog at our other Pet Stock Store. They did not finish until 10.50am. That is becasue they booked 3 dogs in at the same time and did not tell us. They misrepresented their position to us and it was a great inconveience to our scheduled day waiting around for almost 2 hours. Further, when I spoke with the person there she continued to talk over me, patronise dme and told me it is the same system in all the pet stock stores. It is simply not true and incorrect. We have been to Runaway Bay Pet Stock store multiple times and thi shas never once occured. You book in a time and tht is the appointment time. Not a drop off time as this person told me today. This was never told to me when I booked my dog in. The entire process and customer service was disappointing, dreadful, patronising and I will never ever go there again. I do not recommend this store for your pet.

Location is very good with great access. Parking can be 'difficult' at times as it is part of a very popular shopping precinct. Good range of pet food, treats and whatever you need. Also get little dog groomed. They do a wonderful job.

The staff are helpful. The parking is easy and they have what I need.

I suffer from Anxiety and had to get some things for my puppy and birds. It took me 3 trips in and out of shop to buy everything I needed. Panic causes fuzzy brain. I was served by 3 different people. ALL 3 staff went above and beyond to help me. They were kind, told me to take my time, gentle and made me feel like a valued customer. Thank you. 🙏🐶
