Attended a soccer tourney here over the weekend, and while the action on the pitch took center stage, it really was just a huge community block party where people of all ages came out to enjoy the weather and socialize while eating traditional Punjabi dishes whipped up by many dozens of volunteers on site. Kudos to the organizers for making my Canada Day celebrations memorable and delicious! Oh yeah, and the soccer was pretty awesome too! 😍

We visited the play area at the park today and it had something for every age group - 1 through 12. Great location for sporting events and kids.

Easily accessible park with multiple grounds for different sports such as basketball, volleyball, football and running track and one new rubberized walking track with a budget of $1 million. Children have a separate area and huge parking for hundreds of cars and a great opportunity for new drivers to practice their reverse parking.

I grew up playing in Newton Athletic Park so naturally I really like it. However not only does the park have a lot of greenery it also has basketball hoops, a volleyball field, a mini waterpark and a very nice and big playground with many swings and slides.

Garbage everywhere and no one picks up after themselves or their kids. I usually walk around and pick up the trash. Most users seem to be South Asian people and Muslim. Everytime I go my children and I are the only white people, which is normal for Surrey. But, when someone's child decides to grab my daughter's clothing and pull her down It's impossible to resolve simple conflicts with people who refuse to speak English. People need to do better, especially newcomers. It's nice to have you here, and it would be equally nice to see you pick up after yourselves and your children. It also wouldn't hurt to pick up some of the language, so we can communicate effectively.

My son has started practicing playing soccer and the turf is really great. He enjoys it so much and he always looks forward to coming to newton. They have tennis courts which can get very busy in the evenings. The bathrooms could be more clean but overall a lovely park for families.

Great place for my kids to play soccer. Have had lots of tournaments and it has always been a blast on labour day weekend! The concession is very delightful. Overall, amazing place for some soccer.

Very big and beautiful sports facility with four soccer turf fields, which includes a stadium field. Also there are two cricket Pitches, where the BC Big Bash tournament was hosted during the BC day long weekend, lots of teams and players from around Canada participated for a fun filled weekend of Cricket T20 cricket

Great sports fields and lots of space, but very few waterfountains that work. Lots of parking space and seating to watch the games on field.

Nice place to enjoy tennis, football (soccer), volleyball, and basketball (only half-courts). Finally found a place where you can go and find a spot for yourself as well. Otherwise usually it's overcrowded.

Good park. It gets very busy with bigger children at times, so the playground isnt the safest for toddlers. But great for walking and jogging.

The washrooms in the main clubhouse are good and open almost all year. The washrooms by the playground are seasonal. The washrooms by the tennis courts are in rough shape most of the time at least on the men's side. There are tons of soccer fields here, basketball courts, a playground and tennis courts. There is quite a lot of free parking but with the amount of fields during a tournament it can get full. You'll also find students from Kwantlen Park here in the day to avoid paying.
