Revered monk who has turned a jungle into the road and temples as they are now. Lots of actions early morning for alms giving, from sunrise until 7:50am when we left.

This is a quick and easy stop for you. Basically pull over and it is right there. Beautiful as all the Temples and Buddha are. Snacks, drinks, insects, you name it. This small stop has it all and many plants for sale. There is a water fall access here too but the path is super dangerous so be very careful if you go.

For a Thai Buddhist this is one of the place to visit to pay homage to perhaps one of the all time great monk both past and present. If you have allergies to smoke and smell of burning incense this is not the place to visit.

Nice place to stop during your visit in Doi Suthep. A monument where Thai people come to pray in the city of Chiang Mai.

This is our second visit, the ride in the cable car is exciting and the various temples at the top are interesting. We were blessed by a monk who splashed holy water over us.

My friends and I intentionally made a 30-minute stop to pay homage to Kruba Srivichai statue, who was the campaign leader to build a road up to the Prathat Doi Suthep Temple. Since then, the locals have had a more convenient road up the hill to pay respect to the Buddha relics and to attend Buddhist ceremony. It was considered a deep forest and unsafe in the past to go to the temple. It was a good stop for those who are sensitive to the wavy road. They can move from backseat to the front side of the car/van.
