Back in Swansea and wanted a better hotel experience, this hit the mark. Excellent location if you want the beach (we did). The rooms are good and the individual comfort chillers do the job. The bathroom could have been better, tatty bath side and the sink needs some attention but very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and attentive, I hope their value is recognised. The big question is why you have a dropped curb by the steps but not by the ramp?

Staff friendly and efficient. Room was clean and well stocked. But considering this was definitely not a cheap option, and we were given a free upgrade, I was a bit surprised at how tatty it was. The carpet in our room was very old and stained, and there was a noticeable stain on the ceiling from either some damp or a leak. The rooms have individual aircon units that are very noisy and not particularly effective. Water pressure in the shower was very poor. Room safe was non-functional. Slightly bizarre signs admonishing you not to hang things on the water sprinkler outlets - I guess there was an incident? Had this been a budget friendly option these things would not have been noticeable. We paid extra as we wanted to be close to the event we were attending, but rather disappointed that this hotel is not the 4 star experience it's promoting itself as and charging for.

Good location, right next to the beach, but the "deluxe" room was poor. I had no hot water at all on the first morning, this was fixed for the next morning, but resulted in only hot water running out of the tap on my sink (which had mould growing around it). TV service didn't work for the entirety of my stay. Breakfast was exactly as would be expected.

Welcoming staff provided an informative service and breakfast was great. The Location was also very good. But yet again we see a so called 4 star without any of the basics, No coffee machine, no robe, no slippers no fridge/ mini bar. No way of opening the window. No obvious bedside charging. Woke up in a breathless panic after the most disgusting nights sleep ever. No ventilation in the rooms is a major issue and a noise constantly all night that sounded like a truck engine running somewhere close to the room. I have cancelled my next planned stay and rebooked with the Premier Inn. The Marriott is a basic 3 star not a 4 don’t be fooled. The staff were super in their defence. Won’t return though.

Weirdly racist staff member in reception that upon being told I had just returned from India remarked "its amazing how the women get their clothes so clean when they wash them in a river". Continued to remark that my flat being flooded must have been my fault without any information. Bewildering comments when you are simply trying to get a room for the night. Slow service in checking in and checking out, standard rooms, no shaving foam offered (only razors) and the reception seemed annoyed by the inquiry. I would not recommend, not worth the price at all. Breakfast buffet was the highlight but the rooms are nothing special. Internet enabled smart TVs but none of the online services work because the network has not been set up correctly. Dolphin hotel is almost £100 per night cheaper and the rooms are to the same standard. I have recently stayed in a Marriott in Glasgow and Swansea is no where close to the service and rooms offered there, a blight on the Marriott brand.

All staff members were very friendly and knowledgeable, especially Monica on reception who went above and beyond to help my wife. The room was immaculate. I requested house keeping on a daily basis. When I returned to the room, all towels were replaced and the bed was made to such a high standard. The food in the bar was outstanding. The standard of service was exceptional. I am blind and all staff members were very helpful, such as helping me with the lift and showing me where the disabled toilets were. I will be returning in the future.

This hotel is in a great location to explore Swansea. It's a 10 minute walk from the town which is quite a nice walk through the marina seeing the boats. It's walking distance to the theatre too. It's also on the front of Swansea Bay which a long stretch of sandy beach to walk on. It's easy to get too and sign posted to find the hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming - Monica was very talkative when I checked in and managed to check in mid morning which was great to get changed and wrapped up for our Christmas market and winter wonderland weekend. Aj was happy when we checked out to, she asked if we were happy with our stay and mentioned a refurbishment within the New Year (rooms and restaurants for about 5/6 months apparently) The rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped with a wardrobe, storage, chair and table, TV, radiators, bathroom with toilet, shower and bath. We had a deluxe king room overlooking the marina (some rooms have to be payed extra for) There is a bar and grill too, laid back atmosphere which made you feel comfortable.. Plenty of parking - need to register car reg when checking in. Can also park there if not staying there which is £2 for a hour. Would recommend this hotel 🏨

Although slightly dated, very clean with positive staff. Looked after a whole group of ex soldiers attending a reunion. They were provided a lovely room and the food was very good. Downside was the room was quite warm and couldn't open the windows, plus a noisy toilet. Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

We made a request regarding a room and our request was efficiently dealt with and granted. The lady on reception (Monica) even rang us to tell us so we wouldn’t be anticipating a refusal. The housekeeper (even though we had requested no cleaning) kept us stocked up with coffee, milk, biscuits and toiletries. She even pressed for the lift when she saw us coming out of our room. Absolutely 5*

The room was not a 4 star hotel room! The window didn’t open. Condensation in the room and couldn’t enjoy the view. Old heating system that will dry out the air and leave an unpleasant smell. Problems with the sink. Positive things…The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, the staff was friendly.

This is a pretty good room I got for an expensive “luxury” hotel. The room was nice and comfy. The beds had a soft mattress which was a relief for me because the last 2 hotels I stayed at in the nights before had such hard mattresses. I had one of the best nights of sleep here! The internet isn’t bad but should be better. Only goes what, 15-20 mbps for download and 20 Mbps for upload. Would have been better if they had slippers, robes and a mini fridge because I stayed at a hotel cheaper than this about half an year ago and it had all that. As for location, it is right next to the beach which is a spectacular feature for me because I like the beach and I want to go early in the morning! The beach here also has a lot of shells just washed up shore so you can explore. The room- more detailed: Had a lot of lighting which was great for me since I don’t like rooms that are too dark. Had a great big window that let a lot of natural light in anyway. The TV was nice and big and had some good channels. Bathroom was pretty big and nice but the shampoo didn’t work well for me. Had some paintings around the room but was pretty positive and nothing surreal. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos to upload here.

I was making a trip to Swansea for Christmas, when I arrived I never thought that any hotel would be open, in the middle of browsing for hotels "delta hotels by Marriott Swansea" came up and I decided to book it, when I arrived on Christmas eve I expected I will see hotel with just 1 staff member and everything closed, but I walked in and a friendly staff team welcomed me and helped me with check in and everything, then I went up to my room and I saw a note on the chest of drawers saying that there will be room service even throughout Christmas, I was so happy seeing this. Then I went back down and I saw that even the cast iron bar was open with a huge selection of drinks ready to serve all the hotel guests throughout the holidays. After having such an amazing time at this hotel with beautiful rooms I decided to take the opportunity to give it a five star review and also thank the amazing friendly staff. Hope to come again shortly.

Great visit. Outstanding was the location. On the seafront and only a 10 min walk to town. The breakfast was great if you like a cooked breakfast. The staff and chef were very accommodating. If you like continental, its a bit limited.

Very pleasant 3 night stay at this hotel - very well positioned next to the yacht basin and with sea views. Staff were great and they served a good breakfast!

I recently had the displeasure of staying at a Marriott hotel, and what should have been a relaxing experience turned into a frustrating lesson in corporate greed. My primary bone of contention? The outrageous £5 charge for a bottle of water. In an era where hospitality should prioritise guest comfort, Marriott seems to have lost sight of what matters. It's not just about a place to sleep; it's about feeling welcome and valued. However, slapping an absurd price tag on a basic necessity like water sends a clear message: profit over people. The £5 water bottle is a blatant display of corporate opportunism, preying on guests who, in good faith, choose Marriott for their accommodation needs. It's disappointing to see a renowned hotel chain prioritising short-term gains over fostering customer loyalty. Hotels should be sanctuaries, not traps where guests are nickeled and dimed for the most fundamental amenities. Marriott's decision to charge such an exorbitant amount for water is not just a pricing strategy; it's a betrayal of the trust guests place in the brand. This experience has left an indelible mark on my perception of Marriott hotels. I won't be returning to a place that prioritises squeezing every penny from guests over ensuring a pleasant stay. There are plenty of other options that understand the essence of hospitality and prioritise customer satisfaction over profiteering. If Marriott wishes to salvage its reputation and retain loyal patrons, a reevaluation of its pricing practices, especially concerning basic necessities, is not just advisable—it's imperative. Farewell, Marriott. My money and I will be exploring more welcoming and reasonable accommodations elsewhere.

Stayed overnight after watching Tom Grennan at Singleton Park, and enoyed a few drinks at the bar when we returned. Check in was fine and were told we had been given an upgrade to our pre booked room which was great. Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars for the sevice, this is because having paid my bill for £156.75 which was correct, on checking my bank statement the following day, noticed that £164.00 had been taken. On phoning the hotel I was put through to the accounts dept where a message informed me that there was no one available to take my call, and was told to leave a message of my issue, with my contact details . Surprise Surprise!! they have not got back in touch with me. As we have stayed at this hotel on more than one occasion, will have to think about whether I will do so in the future.

More expensive than some in the town centre but a bit quieter as a result. Bay views from our room although double glazing units had failed so they were misted up. Room was clean and well appointed. No twin rooms available so had a double with my son. Breakfast great . Evening meal looked a bit limited and some very good restaurants locally. Electric vehicle charging a bit rustic. The main type two charger wasn't working but there was an outdoor plug which was free to use so can't complain.

Reasonably good value in a really great location. Parking is extra but only £5 a day. Enjoyed the breakfast and had a really good meal in the restaurant one evening. Was in a refurbished room on the top floor with great view of the Marina. Beds were very comfortable, the perfect firmness level for me which is medium. Overall service was professional and friendly but on arrival day the person behind reception was very unfriendly.

This is a good hotel with having an ideal location of being in Swansea Marina, but unfortunately it’s not the Marriott Standard. This is an old building with a modern reception and dinning area, however the rooms are very old and 90’s style. They are out dated but they still remain clean with a few upgrades such as easy to reach light switches. Local attractions are close, next to the beach and there is a Co op round the corner. It’s a nice area with walk along the beachfront and around the marina area. Some of the downsides to the rooms are: There is no fridge in the rooms, but you can ask for a mini fridge at reception if you need one Lack of plug sockets - mostly all at the bottom Old furniture Bath taps were difficult to open In our room for some reason the hot and cold water flow was controlled by the Shower temperature knob above the bath. Not sure why this was, but if you get a room with the sink tap running hot water on the cold side you have to adjust the large knob above the bath that controls the water temperature. This shouldn’t be in any other room, our room had a technical fault which we reported at reception. The TV channels didn’t always have good signal quality and Internet was a bit laggy. After speaking to the staff at the hotel, they mentioned that this hotel is getting a full refurbishment some time this year which will be good, so hopefully everything will be improved and customers will get the full Marriott Service. Overall I recommend this hotel for its service and location, it’s an ideal place to stay in the summer with attractions and shopping nearby or if you want somewhere to stay overnight - Recommend!

Room was great....clean and well prepared. The bar staff were awesome....they couldn't have been more helpful and considerate; they were chatty and engaging - far superior to the staff on swankier bars we tried earlier. Well done Marriott

Hotel was fine for a three night stay. Rooms and general decor/carpets badly need updating but things work. Breakfast okay, but could be better with a few more choices. Staff great. Please try and cook the morning Pastries properly-they weren't.

I stayed at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Swansea and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was modern and stylish, with a wide range of amenities. The location was convenient, with easy access to all the best attractions and restaurants in the city. Overall, I would recommend the Delta Hotels by Marriott Swansea for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Check in took over an hour with a under trained staff by the looks of it. The receptionist didn’t have any clues about vacancies of rooms to book so had to do it through an app. It’s cheaper to book on booking. Com then the Marriott app.. which is quite pointless being a member. The breakfast lacked options for vegetarians / people with other dietary needs. There seems to be no spa here or at-least mention of when checking in which is quite disappointing. The cleaners of this place are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very out dated and the exhaust fan barely even works in the toilets of the bedrooms. Definitely not worth the stay spent 2 nights in the king size room 😶 bit of a joke !!

The hotel is showing its age a bit (dated decor), but the rooms and shared spaces were spotlessly clean, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the hot breakfast options were fantastic. Parking was ample and right next to the entrance, the fee is included in the price but you have to register your registration at check-in. Great location - recommended!

You get what you expect from a Marriott. Room was good, in a business sort of way. Service was excellent, as you would expect and the location was great. Close to the sea, overlooking the marina and an easy walk into the city centre. Food and drinks unexpectedly good value.

Have been coming here over many years but not since 2019. Lovely reception and bar staff. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the rooms. We were given room 401, a corner room. The rooms and bathrooms are very tired and dated and haven't changed in years. We could not open any windows, the one being screwed shut and the other had a handle hanging off and would not open. Still cannot understand how the hotel can get away with this, surely its a health and safety hazard. I did mention this to the receptionist who said that this is the case in some of the rooms and found us another room with windows that did open, albeit only a little bit. Evening meal was average, very noisy and very busy. Breakfast used to be fantastic with loads of choice. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. The choice of food is nothing like as good and again, it was very noisy and chaotic. On the plus side, the receptionists and bar staff were lovely. It's such a shame as the location of the hotel is fabulous.
