I just want to say that as someone who has lived in South Texas alongside the Mexican border (eats frequently in both countries) this place is IT. The food is absolutely amazing. Possibly the best in our whole Europe trip. And arguably some of the best tacos we’ve had - I know it sounds crazy since this is Switzerland and I’m from the heart of Mexico but it is what it is. Don’t take my word for it.. go try it. The atmosphere is great, good Mexican music playing, the waitresses were all very nice and Spanish speaking which was very nice! This is our second visit this trip and we are definitely coming once more before we head out. This is the place to be!!

You feel like back in Mexico with authentic tacos except for the prices, but the taste says it all. I don't like onion or cilantro so was happy they omitted them.

Such a nice concept, took us back to Mexico! Staff was so nice and spoke all languages. And the food was excellent! Terrace was cosy and the Mexican Aguas choice were SO GOOD! Definitely recommend this place for lunch and dinner!

The food is amazing. It is the best tortilla chips with guacamole. The chips are less salt and crunchy and very fresh avocado and salsa. Other food is also very good.

It is one of the good places to enjoy Mexican food. The interior is very hip and cool. The portion sizes are full filling and prizes are average as per other places in Zurich. This particular branch has a little cozy sitting as compared to the one in Altstetterstrasse. They have multiple options for vegetarians with nice drinks to pair your food with. This place is a good option for get togethers. Give this place a try if you are ever in the mood for good Mexican food.

I’m from Southern California, and was surprised by how good these tacos were! I had resigned myself to not having good Mexican food in Europe, so this was a pleasant surprise. We had their fish, shrimp and Planted Pastor (plant based) tacos, and they were all great. They also make their own hot sauces which are actually hot! The habanero hot sauce was particularly delicious. Yes, you will pay Switzerland prices for these tacos, but they were well worth it.

Hands down the best burrito I've had in Europe. And trust me,I'm always on the hunt to find a good Mexican spot that give me a taste of the great eats I had in California. I love that they give you four options of hot sauces. The salsa verde is so flavorful. Go to order is always the surf and turf taco. The tacos are amazing, especially al pastor, but the burrito is the true star

Had the carne asada, pollo asado, carnival, and vegi tacos (buy three get one free on taco Tuesday! ) Fantastic! The beef was tender and flavorful, like the best smoked brisket I've had. Very much like what I find in Texas and Arizona. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

We had a nice evening there. The decorations are wonderful. That gives you a relaxed mood. Feel like as if you're in Mexico. The tacos are incredible delicious. We were surprised that they serve a big portion for this price. I'm glad we found this restaurant.

The chicken wings were delicious, but the mains(tacos and burritos) were rather ordinary, the meat was either burnt or lacked much flavor.

In love with tacos here! The vibe and overall athmosphere is super cool and the staff was kind. The margarita was so strong and delicious and the tacos were delicious. Gonna come back again for sure!

We were looking for the best Mexican place in Zurich, and it did not disappoint! Definitely good and proper Mexican food! Tacos were delicous, the personel was very friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were really well made. The place has a cozy environment and also a bit festive with the music, but at a low and decent volume to talk to each other perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Zürich!

As a Mexican living in Europe for over 13 years, trust me when I say that this is as good as it gets when it comes to Mexican food. Although it’s more Tex-Mex (something I don’t fault for as it’s what Europeans expect at a Mexican place), the food is delicious and the ingredients are very tasty. On top of that, the place just feels Mexican - from the decorations down to the drink options (Pro Tip: Always go for a Jarritos drink when here). Staff was kind, spoke Spanish and were flexible (I wanted to sit outside when it was kind of cold and they were cool with it). Make sure to try all of the salsas! Lastly, bonus points for having veggie options for every meal type! 🙌🏼

The setting is lovely and the staff is very friendly. I really enjoyed the tacos (especially the Al Pastor). I strongly recommend it. There is also a great range of Mexican beers :)! I really liked the Victoria beer which is a dark larger. The price is reasonable as well! 😊

Really enjoyed the experience at La Taqueria, a lot of different authentic Mexican dishes, friendly staff and fast service for lunch. The decor of the restaurant is a one way ticket to Mexico. One of my favorite restaurant of Zurich, prices are average.

The place is very cool, next to the entrance there are refrigerated shelves with a wide choice of Mexican/South-American beers that can be purchased and brought to the table or drank while waiting. The house specialties are the tacos (as suggested by the name). To fulfill your appetite, you should order 2-3 tacos per person. The ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are endowed with quite authentic Mexican flavours (generally in Switzerland also ethnic cuisine is “adapted” to the swiss taste”). The service is fast, and waiters are Spanish-speaking and very kind. The price is aligned to the Zurich standards. We recommend it for dinner with friends or for a nice dinner during the week! We suggest booking in advance!

La Taqueria is a little taste of Mexico in Zurich. Maybe. I'm from Texas, so I only know Tex-Mex, and Tex-Mex is not Mexican, and I don't really eat meat, so really I'm a terrible person to ask. But either way, I really enjoy La Taqueria because I'm a huge fan of salsas, and they have absolutely delicious salsas. I'm also a fan of margaritas, and they do those VERY WELL. This is their second location and I've been to both many many times. The one in Altstetten has more seating both inside and outside and looks cooler, but it's farther away from me so Kreis 4 has been my general hangout. The options seem to be the same at both locations. They have a number of different interesting offers, along with several veggie options which makes me happy. They even offer a bug taco, but I can't exactly remember which type. And recently they've been using planted meat for a taco and burrito- winning! If you want to find a relatively affordable meal, I suggest ordering a side of beans, or beans and rice with tortillas. The portions are big and you can make your own tacos and use all the salsa you want! However, the star of the show is their veggie burrito with smoked cheese. I don't know how they smoke that cheese but man they do it right and it makes the entire burrito. That's probably the best burrito I've ever had, ever! Also, their veggie platter has some great textures, tastes, and colours. Note that if you are an American coming to visit, be aware that you are in Switzerland, and whatever you order will have a price. That means that if you order a tortilla, they will charge you for each tortilla, or a side of chips. That's the way it is. You just have to get used to it. Sometimes it's painful, but I'm thankful that they made this restaurant so I'm not going to complain. Oh, and let's not forget their margaritas. They have absolutely delicious margaritas! And their cookies! oh their cookies! yum yum yum

The ambiance is really colorful and the food was good. The choice of beers was great ; the Victoria (dark lagger) is especially nice 😉 ! The only thing is that the tacos were really greasy .. but still we had a lovely evening.

Amazing spot and really good burrito. The quality of the food is amazing and I highly recommend it if you’re around. One issue is that the menu is expensive!

I had a rather unfortunate experience at this Mexican restaurant in Zurich. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to anyone with allergies or a dislike for coriander. The menu seemed promising, but I realized that practically every dish contained coriander. I inquired with the waitress if it would be possible to have a meal without coriander, and she initially assured me it could be done. However, upon receiving my order, she informed me that they couldn't fulfill the request. This left me unable to enjoy any of the dishes three dishes that we ordered, as the herb was pervasive. It's disappointing when a restaurant is unable to accommodate dietary needs or preferences, and it significantly impacted my experience. The atmosphere is good but they don’t have AC. That means that in a hot day, inside the restaurant is even worse.

Good Mexican food. Tacos are really good. The fish taco was really nice. The Azteca soup and the wings were also nice. The environment is quite good for a chill dinner eating out.

We dined in without a reservation. Friendly waitress provided English menus quickly and took our order swiftly. Food was ready fairly quickly and extra hot sauce was offered. Nachos and tacos were great. Prices were steep but guess that’s Switzerland for you.

The food was so delicious and so were the drinks!!! The service was great as well. Highly recommend the agua frescas, they were so refreshing on a hot day and I’m glad we got to try multiple flavors!

Tacos @lataqueria.ch 🌮🇲🇽🌯🫔 This overly mexican restaurant has plenty of fun authentic decoration, music and dishes. You can choose between tacos, burritos, quesadillas, platos and taquitos with various options. I had the tacos al pastor, carnitas and carne asada (6.90 CHF/ piece) and tried the tomato-chilly soup. Overall cool and chilled place for a quick meal, with good homemade salsas and an authentic beverage choice. Enjoyed the @masamor.ch tortillas! Food was good, but nothing too special.

the food was really tasty, service was super fast and the spicy sauces were from mexico itself (probably, as they were amazing) the portions were also generous

Pretty good Mexican restaurant could use just a little more flavor but I enjoyed the food and the vibe of the restaurant. The workers are also very nice. I will be back to try more things on the menu.

Authentic food and desserts, good margaritas and the service was very kind and accommodating. Food was served without delay and the place has a very nice and original decoration. Feels comfy and it's a great place to go with friends. A place to have on your list of you're around Zürich and you like Mexican food.

The first time that I was there, 1 year ago, I had a great experience. The food was great and the service too. I didn't come back sooner because I don't live so close. Then today I arrived at 18:10, they said that I should eat until 19:00 because they had another reservation. Ok, I ordered and the food came at 18:45. I had 15 min to eat. Besides that, I asked for the vegan menu as soon as I got there and the waitress said that she would bring it to me - I am waiting for it until now, I guess?! - Then as I couldn't choose the dish that I wanted because I never got the vegan menu, I chose the vegan burrito that was one of the few vegan options from the normal menu, and it came with raw rice! Unbelievable. Bad service , bad food. It was so different from the first time! Disappointing. Why don't you offer the vegan menu with the normal one? Besides staff without masks. 🙄

Cute little place with authentic decor and really yummy Mexican fare and very friendly, attentive staff. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and definitely will be back again.

Great Mexican flavors with a couple of satisfying (aka not only nachos + guacamole) options. The portions are quite big, the planted pastor plate I had was enough for me to split into two and take the other half home. They try to pack take away sustainably, using a paper bag and cardboard-like packaging. This place offers a selection of Mexican beer and happily serves tap water. The restroom is rather small but quite easy to access.

Lovely place in the neighborhood. Definitely my go to place. Come for Taco Tuesday, they get buy 3 get 4 tacos. Sometimes they have live music too! Great selection of beers as well.

Best tacos I've had in Europe so far... The tacos were authentic and as close as they come to Mexico, but 5X the price because it's Switzerland. We ate at La Taqueria on a Saturday evening, so the restaurant was quite busy. The only options for seating were outdoors due to COVID, but we're all taken. Plan to make a reservation if coming to eat here in a weekend. 1 June they should be opening the indoor seating.

Super good service, nice atmosphere, vast choice of beers, but the highlight was the food: delicious plenty and affordable for Zurich prices (Switzerland is the most expensive place in the universe). I am going to go back many times.

OMG, so good. Met a couple earlier in the day who now live in Switzerland but came from Mexico City we saw them here and even they said it was good. The use real tortillas and the tacos AL pastor( albeit on the small side you'll need at least 2) was to die for. They have horchata and other Agua Fresca like agua de flor de Jamaica. Best Mexican I have had in Europe. The service was a touch slow but not a big deal it was hot and they were very busy. Oh and they have good house salsas and they have Valentina hot sauce.. I have missed that. Oh almost forgot their large selection on Mexican beer. It's huge and I forgot to take a picture.

Amazing Mexican food in the heart of Zurich. Love the burrito with their 3 different sauces. Also happy that they have vegan meat options.
