Loved the food. Fries are amazingly crisp and the pies are a hit indeed. Only minus point are the toilets - must be upgraded. Other than that amazingly delicious food, a must try if you are visiting Thun. 🤩😍

We went to watch Ireland vs France and we really enjoy it, professional staff, busy little pub, good pub food, we had the chip or french flies as our American friends call them and they where very tasty i seen others having fried chicken looked great, but when i seen tge loaded nachos i wish i had ordered that 🤣

I've yet to find an Irish pub with bad food. This one didn't disappoint either. We picked the Cottage pie with minced meat, carrots and peas filling with a potato topping (CHF21.50). Like all pies it was served with heavenly crispy fries and baked beans. The baked beans were bland, but because everything else on the plate was awesome, I don't even care. The staff were a friendly bunch too. If I had to nitpick anything. It'd have to be the bathroom downstairs which was in need of some serious renovation and a good scrubbing. Very grungy and dimly-lit interior like any traditional pub. Two Mondays per month they have Quiz Night if you're into that kind of thing.

Fun pub on the edge of the Thun old city. Food is great with a surpringlly broad selection. Beer selection is not wide, but good. Monday pub quiz nights are packed (good quizzes and quizmasters), so need to book a table in advance.

Next up was the Irish/Celtic style pub, McArthurs, situated in the Old Town of the city. Decent frontage and what you expect from a traditional Irish style pub, and also had a very good selection of Irish beers and ciders, Guinness, Smithwicks, Kilkenny and Bulmers on tap, which was excellent to see. But I went for another Valaisanne Biere de Cave, cause I really liked it in Thun and this time it was fine. Perhaps it was a different beer I had in the Bistro bar? Barman was very friendly and chatty and since I was enjoying myself, I decided to order some food. Did notice on the menu that they did a British Breakfast Buffet, so it isn’t an Irish or Celtic bar then, bit annoying that, but I guess the locals wouldn’t twig that! Ordered the veggie burger with chips. Food looked good and tasted fantastic, was well done and I really loved the carrots in the burger, was a new taste for me but it was bloody good. Hats off to the chef on that. Liked this bar, good service, friendly, nice decor and great food…….and the pint was decent too! I will even forgive it for been a plastic Oirish pub!!!

We loved it here so much that we had to go back another day. The food is fantastic, the staff is very outgoing and fun, and the whole atmosphere is nice. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Great grub, a bit expensive, though

It's a bar, so expect sports and loud folks. Very friendly and clearly marked vegan options on menu, very generous portions. The vegan burger with salsa was too salty, but the vegan pie was good.

Most of the food was salty did not like it. The selection of beers was good. I had a burger and the meat was overcooked. My family ordered other meals and everything came out very salty or overcooked. Come here for drinks not food. The only food I liked was there nachos which we had as an appetizer

Wide selection of drink and food, surely some thing for everybody. We ordered lunch here as a particular treat and were happy how promptly it arrived. My brother and sister suggested it to me, was not unfulfilled, spectacular food and great price too. The personnel were really courteous, very happy with the service. Will be coming back again, really enjoyed our meal And Not very pricey.

Once you've entered this pub you feel like in Ireland. Very delicious and tasty food and beer selection outrages probably most pubs in Switzerland. Definitely worth a visit!

Quiet place at mid day, nice and warm service good beers and burgers

You can get decent beer and cider here, the bar food is good. Fortunately the haggis crisps (well, you have to try them) don't taste like haggis, unfortunately the bacon crisps don't taste of bacon. There is an idiot's lantern in the corner (useful for rugby matches) but usually showing 22 overpaid snowflakes kicking a ball round a lawn - it doesn't dominate the whole pub if you don't want to watch (a big plus)
