As a vegan I'm constantly striving to find new 100% vegan restaurants and I normally use HappyCow to do so. Unfortunately Nadas is not listed at all on the app so I had no idea this place existed up until recently even though it's just around the corner from my office. I've already had a few lunches here and I have to say that I was positively surprised each time. They have a different daily menu every day which is great, and even though some of their dishes don't look great sometimes, they usually taste very good. Customer service is also quick & friendly. I would certainly recommend Nadas & I will definitely be back soon.

Excellent food, so happy we discovered this place! If you'd like to experience a symphony of rich flavours in combination with a sustainable business idea and two really nice guys running the place, you should check it out.

The two co-owners of Centrale Végétale, Boaz and Raphael, are both dedicated vegans and kindly explained the sustainable concept of the cafe to me on my first visit: Their homemade empanadas are filled with organic food-waste vegetables and and coated with a whole wheat dough. The sauces that come along with them are prepared with local and seasonal ingredients. And the best part is, all of it tastes absolutely delicious! One meal includes four NADAS (empanadas), three of them with a different savoury stuffing such as lentils, pumpkin & beetroot, plus a sweet one filled with blackberries (all the fillings vary by season). The two sauces are a vegan ricotta made with hazelnuts and a traditional yemeni sauce (s-chug) consisting of chili peppers, garlic and parsley or coriander. The price for one menu is 25 CHF, for students 20 CHF and the payment is made by TWINT. As it takes about 20 minutes to warm the frozen NADAS up, I recommend sending the guys a DM on instagram (@centralevegetale), saying how many menues you want and when you'll be there to pick them up, if you don't have the time to wait that long. Also, bring along your own food container to make your meal even more sustainable!

Unique place! A lot going on in one place. I have never seen such a place before in Zurich. The surroundings are also astonishing with the farmer and sheep next to the store and a gas station. UNIQUE!

Avoid! I had severe food poisoning after eating here. Clearly a very unhygienic place

I'm absolutely not a vegan and I also absolutely know, that you can't - in a grammatically correct way, at least - grade the adjective "absolute", because it's absolutely not gradable and therefore has no comparative or superlative form, but I even more absolutely have to say that those Nadas of CENTRALE VEGETALE (à propos of that and on a quick side note: just ask for the sweet ones with the apples, man, and while you're at it also ask for the vegan hazelnut ricotta sauce to top it off; this combination will blow your brain right out of your skull) are the materialisation of the absolutest tastiness that you'll ever come across! Rapheal, one of the co-owners, who accommodated us is (absolute) pure gold and the finest host you'll find. Many thanks for last weekends "acceuil" from Fribourg, CH! I'll be back for more

So happy finding this place! The food is yummy-yummy, healthy and environmentally responsible and the two guys managing the place super nice and welcoming. Such a good experience, we'll be back on the first occasion!

Great place! Lovely empanadas, especially the apple one (with nuts - yum!) both guys were super friendly and helpful and we even got to take some vegetables home 👍

Very tasty and impactful food, inspirational ambience and great people. With their novel idea to rescue funny-looking vegetables to create tasty vegan meals and delicacies they will change the food system. They also started to create weekly rescue boxes with the inglorious veggies available to everyone. Absolutely recommend!

Best vegan Empanadas in Zürich. Price is super fair and the guys are simply amazing. It is a anti-foodwaste project so you're eating sustainable and having the best time<3

The empanadas were super delicious. The sauces as well. Sorry I don't have a picture to post here...they were too good to pause for a picture :) We also had golden latte. Very tasty. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Definitely recommend.

WOW what an amazing experience! Such delicious and SUPER flavourful food and drink. It was so nourishing and made me so happy!! I couldn’t recommend a place to eat more then here. And not only the food but such amazing service. So kind and friendly. If you are thinking about checking it out you must!! I don’t know what more to say then WOW 10/10 .
