Small but beautiful restaurant with a kind of city feel about it, really nice ambience. Lots of tables but you don't feel on top of the table next to you. Service was fantastic as was the food! Scallops were amazing, but so was everything else. Slightly more expensive than other dumpling bars..but you feel like you're in a restaurant..not a cafe, takeaway place or food hall! Will definitely go back. Lots of parking locally and a really lovely wine menu.

Cosy but polished venue that provides an elevated dumpling experience with all the favourites. Definitely more expensive than the average dinner in the inner west but you get what you pay for in serving time, quality ingredients, good food and a lovely setting. Was expecting more personal service from staff due to all the questions asked when booking in advance, but overall wasn’t disappointing. Would recommend the black mountain bbq pork buns.

Delicious.Worth the price, you can choose the number of dumplings for your party. Best Xiao Long Bao I've had in Sydney (good skin very juicy, unfortunately no ginger or vinegar to dip). Black Mountain BBQ bun was very good, the filling was extremely authentic - better than many I've had in HK. Fried rice with duck and asparagus was AMAZING (wok hei!!). Crispy tofu was great, the drinks are great, nothing disappointed. Very pleased, will be back to try the har gau!

We had a great time here... they have a nice variety of foods here... we tried different types of dumplings and they were all very tasty... the freshroom is clean in case you need to use... the stuffs are very friendly... the location of this place is very convenient... if you want to catch public transport, it's very close to Summer Hill train station...

Tonight was a special occasion and the total dining experience did not disappoint in fact it exceeded our expectations especially as it was our first time. Looking forward to return visits especially as we live locally and the tasting menu was a great introduction to lovely food that was served.

Great menu, service and wine list. It felt like the dumplings were a bit slow to come out, but I am not sure if that's because they were intentionally spacing them - I just know I started to feel full before the mains came out and we didn't order that many dumplings. Absolutely loved the potstickers and the fried prawn dumplings (the latter can be ordered by piece which is great, because it allows for more variety). Prices for some items a bit on the higher side (vegetable fried rice was like $24) but it is a really nice spot and fit out, so good for date nights with the hassle of looking for parking in the city. Excellent service from staff.

A wonderful meal. We didn’t have a booking but we’re fortunate to get a seat at the bar. We were taken care of by the lovely bar tender who helped us with our drinks, made some excellent recommendations for our meal and was just delightful. The food was exceptional.

This gorgeous neighbour restaurant is fantastic for catching up with friendly or cosy date nights. The interior is beautiful and the food it’s outstanding. Share plates are the way to go here to sample a variety of dishes from the excellent menu. The Sichuan pork and prawn dumplings are perfection, the sesame and chilli oil at a really decadent rich flavour. The lotus and duck fried rice and kung pao chicken are generous for two people to share and are a packed full of flavour. Really good combo. This is the type of restaurant to try different dishes on repeat visits and have confidence that they’ll be excellent. Nice service without being too much in customers faces. It’s a gem!

Food and staff were amazing. The only disappointing part of our experience was there was a 30 minute interval between the entrees and when the mains were served. Unfortunately we had to have the mains for take away due to the long wait.

Got this takeaway because we have little kids and it wouldn’t have been right to dine in with them. Omg incredible! Yum yum yum. Everything was just perfect! Haven’t had a good meal like that in a very long time. Thank you Lotus😇
