The hotel serves the sole purpose of being close to the international departure gate for an early morning exit. Please note, it was still a 45min commute and a $10 ticket on a 3rd party shuttle bus in Sydney traffic at 7:30am for me, so please factor that in! Rooms are to Novotel standard and the breakfast is nice. Room was surprisingly quiet but I packed earplugs just in case. Happy travels!

3 Star Hotel at best. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are work out and dirty. There was hair and soap remnants in the shower, extremely dirty carpets, very dusty and dirty lamps. The hotel staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We did switch rooms because the first one was dirty, so was the second one. It is just their “standard” of cleaning. The hotel wouldn’t be bad if they replaced the carpet and did a deep clean of each room. Location is good for the airport.

The staff started cleaning the room next door at 7am and woke us up. was to rest from our overseas flight before driving back home to Canberra. After notifying management of the noise, we were told this is normal for any hotel. I disagree. Banging furniture, dropping plates and vacuuming next to resting guests is not normal and we have never experienced this before. Also this was not the kind of response from management that I would expect for a 4 star hotel that prides themselves on their level of service and reputation. When checkout is 11am, I can’t understand why cleaners need to be cleaning rooms at 7am when there are guests sleeping next door. I kindly asked the cleaning staff to keep it down as I was sleeping and they continued cleaning and then proceeded to clean the next room also located directly next to mine. Novotel has zero noise barrier, you can hear guests placing their chargers into the socket in the adjacent rooms. I have just returned from Japan which was far more congested and a third of the price of the Novotel and never experienced any issues with noise from other guests or staff. We stayed at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay, which was outstanding for a 4 star hotel. Rooms were exceptional, we had fabulous amenities, even pyjamas were provided. I think Novotel should familiarise themselves with the quality guests expect from a 4 star hotel. This hotel is neither quality or value for money.

Great location close to the airport. Service from front of house was great. In the restaurant I found myself looking for someone the whole time, trying to catch their attention. I got upgraded to a better droom from the deluxe, but it had a shower in a bath. And when I opened my towel, the mascara from another person was still on the towel. Of course, I understand they can't check every towel, but I'm not brave enough to use a towel that looks like it's just been folded up from the previous person who stayed there. That's the only reason for the 3 stars. Really unfortunate. But nit a bad stay overall. Restaurant was really good!

I had such a wonderful 3 night/day stay here over Christmas. Having a disability l was well looked after. I stayed in their Accessible room which was really great for me Help was at hand if l needed it . The room was very clean and roomy and a huge Wet room 😃 Breakfast was included in the price and this was a buffet style with plenty of choices plus tea & Coffee. I was given great assistance in there. Most definitely a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel especially being so close to Sydney International airport At Mascot. I would give this 5 plus stars 😃

Very comfortable bed, blockout curtains are real block curtains, quiet and clean. The staff were very efficient, friendly and courteous. A special star 🌟 for Vincent at check in, very helpful. A great place to stay if flying international and you want to avoid the morning rush and peak hour transport risks of Sydney.

I really expected more from this hotel because it is a 4 star hotel. I was highly disapointed the toilet leaked through the whole night the water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor as there is only a time shower screen that doesn't cover the whole length of the shower. Room was pretty small but clean at least. We had to buy our own water but the hotel did book a taxi for us. 3 stars at best.

Amazing hotel and great service from the reception team. Gislene went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We were celebrating a special occasion and she did an amazing job at making us feel special. I also have to mention the amazing breakfast - everything was fresh and very delicious. Price was also reasonable in comparison with other options in Sydney. I’ll definitely be back!

The service was very good. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room on the other hand... The shower had dirt splatter, the bed had hair on the pillows it's was super dusty and there was a crack at the bottom of the wall. Our view wasn't very good either we were looking over a car park and a construction site. At least it is nice and close to the airport.

It was a really conveniently located hotel about 3 mins drive from the international airport. Staff were polite enough but seemed a little disinterested. The price was good considering the location and the convenience. It was largely let down by the parking. I booked a car parking spot for my stay but when I got there, the car park was full. Luckily enough we happened upon a parking spot in the street. Problem with that was we had to ensure all of our belongings were taken up to our room and not left in a car on the street. The only reason I would stay here again would be when their overnight price is cheaper than the other option opposite the actual departure and arrivals concourse.

Wonderful location and great rooms. Shuttle bus service was exceptional. My son left his comforter on the bus at 5am and the hotel concierge helped return it to us before our flight. Crisis averted! Literally saved our holiday. Thank you!

Booked for two nights $483, left for the day only to come back at 830pm to a room that was not serviced at all - very disappointing - after asking why, I was told that I had to request it.We were never advised of this requirement when we checked in.However payment was taken up front. Have stayed many, many times at various Novatel outlets and have never experienced this. We were very appreciative that the lady in charge did offer to have the room attended to immediately and during our wait we were offered a round of drinks. We will not be going back to Novotel ever again

Good comfortable room (although one of the beds was missing a leg) and so incredibly easy to get to the airport by car. The restaurant advertises a takeaway menu on the sign but we were scoffed at when we asked, so managed to get room service via the QR code. It was delicious and quickly delivered but couldn't get through after to have anyone pick up the plates.

Food menu was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Food portion was great. Food was well presented and delicious!! 😍🤤 Wanted to ask for more but too bad I'm full :( Was allowed to choose time for the meal to be served. All food was delivered on time and hot as well. Kudos to everyone who's involved from planning to serving. The effort really makes a significant difference. Definitely the best quarantine hotel I've stayed so far. Look forward to come back again! Receptionists were kind and helpful. Even suggested me if I want to get my dinner early when I arrived ( I was actually starving n tired when I arrived).

I've never actually stayed overnight at this hotel but I have come here multiple times both with my family and by myself for a drink or for lunch/dinner. The waiters and waitresses are very kind, the food is amazing and you definitely pay for what you get. I would recommend this place if you'd like to come here for a celebration e.i a birthday or job promotion. Great ambience, whenever I've been it's generally been quiet and the location is great! There's a park outside you can go for a walk, the station is about 10-15min away by foot, and of course it's close to the airport where I like to go for a walk sometimes. Would recommend this place whether you're a traveller or someone who's just looking for their next dinner destination!

Came here for the first time , good and welcoming staff but not good facilities. No toiletries in washroom, no fridge, or water bottles. When requested they asked to fill up the water bottle by going to reception at midnight or to get one by order which service wasn’t available for 24 hours. Very disappointing for 1st time visitor. Wasn’t expected this from Novotel.

Stayed for a one night stopover. Staff were great. Food and cocktails were lovely. Room service was super fast! But, most importantly, the beds were very comfortable! Including the pillows. Would definitely stay again simply for the beds. One thing I didn't like was the strong perfume scent, which starts in the elevators and permeates all through the lobby and restaurant. Not very pleasant when dining. Thankfully it wasn't in my room.

The staff were excellent but that's where it ends. Our room was OK. The A/C was so noisy that I had to turn it off to sleep, the walls are very thin, could hear next room talking a lot and their TV. A light on the roof a few floors below was shining right through the one window all night and I couldn't pull the drapes across all the way because the track was broken. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning and the selection was great. The whole hotel needs an upgrade considering the cost for 1 night.

I have now stayed at the Novotel a few times over the past year while travelling to and from the international airport. The rooms are always well appointed and clean with the amenities you would expect. The service is friendly and cordial. You can easily walk to and from the international terminal in under 20 minutes or catch a shuttle which costs $10. I walked the distance with 3 kids and luggage and it was quite effortless - apart from one section where you need to walk along the bridge. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with all the normal items and also includes an espresso machine.

Located few mins drive away from airport. Nice and peaceful neighbourhood. Gym and pool are shared with the apartment opposite the hotel. You have to exit the hotel and head towards Block "26". Use the hotel key card to enter the lift lobby designated for Novotel guests and go to 5th floor.

Friendly RECEPTION DESK staff. Beautiful room but few 'extras'. Would like to see the hotel's airport shuttle reinstated! Cost $42 to travel there from the Domestic airport via taxi! PHEW!

Currently staying at this hotel and so far it has been a red flag. There is one restaurant which closed at 9:30 pm. Was advised to eat at the bar, very little choice and mostly snack food. No water in room - drink from tap. Guest services phone keeps ringing with no response. Called house keeping for some help - they say contact reception who don’t pick up. Basic stuff even for the money it charges - I would avoid next time. Poor experience.

Stayed for a work event. Really nice atmosphere, staff friendly and efficient. Bars and Cafe on-site. Rowers club nearby for another great dinner option. Check in with reception for mattress preference, seems to be a mix of firm or soft. Lovely vibe for drinks when we finished the work stuff. Location got 4 stars for airport proximity and nearby club.

From the minute we checked in, we felt very special. We needed an early check in arriving at 1030am. To our surprise we were very warmly welcomed and even upgraded to a super special suite. Every staff member we came across went out of their way to make our stay, altho short, a memorable one. So happy, that we returned one week later and are writing this, whilst in another fantastic room. Perfect hotel after flying in or flying out somewhere. So handy to the airport but classy enough to feel boutique in the middle of the city.

Perfect location for the airport and about 10mim for the metro to downtown. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a good selection. Family room was great for our family of 5. The friendliness and efficient checkout and check-in was our highlight, both staff were professional and really nice. Please pass our thank you to them.

Good location for people flying out from Mascot. Super Shuttle service is available with an additional cost. Staff at reception was welcoming and kind. Comfortable bed, but no dental kit, comb, or shaving kit provided. Basic room amenities at a high ptice. Limited and overpriced food at the restaurant.

Fast check in after 2pm. Pleasant staff. Reserved next day shuttle. Room comfortable and clean. Bathtub not clean. I booked with the intent to swim and later soak in the tub. The pool is in a separate building which requires a stop at front desk first, which seems like too much of a hassle in swimwear so I decided against it, after reading what is needed. Took showers instead of soaking in tub due to mildew and unclean bathtub. Quick shuttle service to the airport. The transportation vehicle needs a step stool to get in and out. Myself and a family of 5 all struggled to get in and out of vehicle. 2 were elderly. No one wants to feel unsteady entering or exiting a vehicle. Great location for traveling to airport.

We arrived extremely late due to our flight from Hawaii was running late. When we arrived I asked 2 separate staff members if we had snacks in our room both replied "yes they are in the fridge" there were no snacks at all. We were all extremely hungry and I went to the bar and a lady told me she was closing in 1 minute. The room was very small but the location was great. Please advise.

Excellent flawless experience, would recommend to anyone catching an international flight. Room was tidy and clean, as were the other amenities. Location is also great, a short walk to wooli creek for a variety of restaurants and cafes + a 10 min walk to the international terminal which came in very handy. And finally, all the team members were super friendly and helpful. Overall, 10/10.

I was upgraded on arrival to a family suite as I was staying with my daughter and her partner, which was very thoughtful. The restaurant menu was broad which was important as my daughter is coeliac and the room was immaculate. Staff were all lovely and the entire experience was very positive.

AVOID THE SHUTTLE I couldn't fault the hotel, service or rooms. Spotlessly clean and modern (I had an executive queen)...and great value compared to Rydges. Negatives...Food in the bar is average at best. I had the $29 gamberi prawns pizza...and was disappointed with the 'premade' pizza base for that price point. The shuttle bus from the airport is horrible. Let me say...this company is not associated with the hotel in anyway. SuperShuttle service all airport hotels. Forget their posted pick-up times....when i arrived at the pick-up point some passengers had been waiting there an hour already. As the Novotel is last on the stop...it took me 1hr and 10 mins to get to the hotel. The driver wasn't helpful, spent the whole trip on his mobile phone and was careless with passengers luggage. I should have paid the $20 taxi fare (better value if there are 2 or more of you) to go direct. Regardless....the Novotel is a classy well priced hotel and I'd definitely stay there again.

From Wolli Creek train station is about $13 taxi ride, or walk through ground floor of few high-rises, across a busy intersection over a fair-sized park which can be difficult for people with suitcases. From Hotel to Airport there are buses $10 per person takes less than 10 minutes to get from Hotel to Airport on the Monday morning. Room lighting are dim not very bright, but does the job. Bath was practically unusable mentioned to front-desk without it getting fixed (feeling ignored). As hotel guest turnovers are high, less valuing customer's input.

Do not stay here. Upon checking in no one even said hello to me. The lady checking me in was a trainee and didn’t tell me anything about the hotel for example that there was water refills on the floor and near your rooms so I was buying bottled water. In fact she didn’t even talk to me. It was very strange. Then the tap in the bathroom was letting out brown water and it never changed, really disgusting. Much better places to stay like Pullman if you need to stay at the airport. Never again will I stay at novatel

Executive Suite Novotel Airport 1 Night + Breakfast. I try not to make it a habit to arrive early but given there was little else to do. By using the new Online Checkin System made things very smooth indeed. I received a welcome gift bag upon arrival my room was large separate lounge area small self service area dinning table, 2 lounge sofas, large flat screen tv. 1 king Bed flat screen tv, Bathroom Bath shower arrangement. Nice easy function AC kept the room warm.

So to order room service, the room service guy on the phone refused to take my order over the phone and said I have to go online, create an account with a password blah blah blah. What the actual! What ever happened to good old fashioned service? Not impressed one bit. In protest I went out for dinner instead. Now for the bathroom! When I stood on the tiles, disgusting water came up through the grout! Yuck!

I stayed here two nights from 16/12/2021. Unfortunately the bathtub was grimy, clearly not cleaned for a long time. The toilet didn't seem clean and the water flow was quite weak at the washing basin and not emptied well. I could not use the electric kettle as it didn't seem clean inside. Noises could be heard from surrounding rooms at night which was disturbing and far from being sound-proof... However, I found the airport shuttle transfer very convenient at $8 for a ride which can be booked via reception. Location was great for being very close to the airport (5 min ride) and staff were nice. Still, I wouldn't recommend here overall and try other hotels next time.

Room was comfortable but not clean. The bed sheets smelled quite bad and had mould stains. Carpet didn’t get vacuumed, found a sock on the floor. Price - expensive for the room Customer service - Average, I had to take all my luggage to my room with no assistance Cleanliness - Poor Location - Convenient, close to the airport Food - didn’t try

Poor guest service. Bedsheets had multiple stains on it. Room was possibly not vacuumed or serviced properly. When staff was notified they couldn’t do much. Extremely disappointed and definitely will not staying here again.

For context I’m a part of the accor loyalty program as such I frequently travel across APAC staying at Accor properties and eating at Accor restaurants That said Marke is the worst in house Accor restaurant I have ever come across, ever ! It’s understaffed, the staff that they do have are rude and arrogant have no concept of service or restaurant management I assume is attitude is partly driven by the captive market of international and domestic travellers transiting through the airport. The meal offerings are underwhelming and are serious overpriced for the quality. Albeit the hotel location seems isolated, that’s far from true…. A 5 to 10 minute walk to Wolli Creek, you’ll have fabulous Brazilian, Japanese and Thai restaurants at your feet. 15 minute walk will get you into Tempe where is there is the most wonderful pizza shop - Renzo’s Do yourself a favour avoid Marke and take the walk !

We ran some workshops here, and the whole team were enormously accommodating, especially with the number of last minute changes we had to make. They made sure all dietary requirements were accounted for, regularly checked in that we had everything we needed and overall provided excellent customer service and care.

Advantages: -Good location, merely 10 mins walking to the international airport. -Very friendly and helpful receptionists. Solved the complaint nicely. -The A/C works perfectly well, super warm in winter. -The elevator is only accessible when using your room card, security is good. Disadvantages: -Very poor soundproofing, heard all the noises from the hallway and nearby rooms which disturbed our sleep, eg. doors shutting, people talking. -The pillows are too high and puffy, uncomfortable. A bad sleep overnight!! -The kettle was dirty and smelly, the glasses were uncleaned either. -There were no teeth brushes, no fridge and no microwave. -Rang at 10am to extend my room for 2 more hours and the staff said that no problem. However, l was woken up twice by the cleaning staff(s) who entered my room without my permission, just rudely broke into my room and asked for cleaning! Twice! I was frightened too and couldn’t back to sleep. The worst experience of sleeping in a 4-stars hotel ever! Overall, $300 a night at this hotel, doesn’t worth the price.

I went to this hotel because my flight was delayed. I arrived quite late but the reception staff was super nice. This morning I went to have breakfast and their buffet is really good. My check out was amazing and easy, Christelle looked after me and she was excellent. My room was really nice too with a very comfy bed. Really good hotel to stay.

The best things: Convenient location, beds comfortable, quiet rooms and parking good. The not so good: Dropped something on the floor and had a look under the bed - and discovered chocolates, lollies and empty wrappers. There was mould on the wall in the shower and filth around the hinges on the toilet. Not what you would expect from a hotel like this.

Great hotel close to the airport clean and simple. Stayed overnight to catch an early flight, checked in late and was really hungry because didn’t have dinners. Only main dish items the menu. Margarita Pizza or Green Curry. Also was hoping the gym or sauna was open. Others than that everything was great.

It really depends on what you need. It's really close to the airport, a 12 min walk or use the shuttle. Rooms are clean and nice but pretty standard. Mood lighting wasn't invented here if you get my drift. 😉 Wouldn't recommend for a romantic trip but really good for business. Restaurant and buffet is pretty good, nice bar inside too. So ideal for business people coming through. 👍 Check in was a bit weird and clumsy, but maybe she was new?

Hotel presented very well. Clean tidy rooms, with all the essentials. Only catch is you can hear a pin drop from 3 floors away. Rooms where loud, with cleaners turning over rooms at all hours of the night. Because of this sadly don't think I'll be rushing back, which is a shame as the rest of the hotel was perfect.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable but the let down was the bar staff having no clue of drink prices and overcharging us and under filling out glasses. The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the room was expensive.

  • 4/5 Natalie S. 1 year ago on Google
Standard pricing for an airport hotel, good continental breakfast & next to a river so nice for a morning walk. The room was standard, nothing special but nice enough and comfortable enough for a layover stay (which is what we did). Would recommend 😊

My husband and I had the misfortune to stay at the Novotel Sydney International Airport the night before we were to catch a flight out of Sydney. What a mistake it was to choose this place. We got to our room which was clean enough but it was very poorly lite. You couldn’t see a thing. There were only 2 teabags, no tea towel, there was no wash cloths to use with the body wash, no toilet brush and noisy air conditioner. For $191.00 it was definitely overpriced. We would have got more at the Ibis Budget Hotel at a far less price. We expected more from Novotel.

Room was very dirty, dusty, could see the dust floating in the air under the lamps. Triggered my asthma it was so dirty & dusty. Vents in the bathroom caked in dirt. Stains and marks all over the wall. Disgusting old, not clean hotel definitely not to standard for Novotel. Moved to a new room, same dust, dirt & pillows now lumpy like a chesp hostel. Very disappointing & surprising. Will not book a Novotel again. Avoid this hotel & book something clean for this price!

A very nice hotel! The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet considering how close it is to the airport. The check in process was very easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A lovely restaurant in the lobby with great food and service with a smile. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay. Received a beautiful and personal welcome email right after I booked. The place and rooms are fantastic. Had an amazing night sleep in a fabulous room. My only suggestion would be that if you are catching the Sydney Shuttle Service from Bay 4 at the airport, it was confusing to find. Once I figured it out (followed a crowd and asked them), the shuttle was full. The shuttle driver was wonderful and made it work by squeezing me in, however if I didn't make it on the shuttle there was not another one for 40 minutes and it was 8:15pm (ish) at night. Novotel was last on the shuttle drive, so it took a while. On the way from Novotel to the airport, the next morning, it was super easy and quick because you can book your seat ahead of time. I would definitely stay here again!!!
