😠 Should have checked the negative reviews first. My recommendation, dont go, just not worth it. Seems like this place used to be good but maybe the chef changed. Lot of their past patrons seem to be saying in negative reviews, the same thing, that it was good before but now its just bad. Went to this... People often mention pizza, service, good, Italian, staff, Modo, time, pasta, great, delicious,

Should have checked the negative reviews first. My recommendation, dont go, just not worth it. Seems like this place used to be good but maybe the chef changed. Lot of their past patrons seem to be saying in negative reviews, the same thing, that it was good before but now its just bad. Went to this place considering the good reviews expecting a fine dining experience as thats the impression these guys give from the website. But this place is so underwhelming its almost a joke. Menu is limited to 4 or 5 options for mains and with those kind of prices and a small menu you expect something amazing. So I ordered Salsicia el pattette, a great italian dish simple but packed with flavour. What I got was (see the image), two ovecooked sausages with boiled potato, no flavour or presentation, could have bought sausages from my local butcher and boiled some potatoes. But thats not even worse so my mum orders Scarola pizza and what we got just blew our mind. Just see the picture, undercooked dough with a bunch of boiled greenies smacked on it, no salt, cheese or any effort whatsoever. I have had this dish several times at other restaurants and its lip smacking. We also ordered a eggplant parmigiana and a margerita pizza, and low and behold, absolutely no flavour, I mean guys you cant get the classics wrong. Not sure how these guys are running it and I have no doubt reviews are fake or may be they used to be good earlier. This is not a place you will go to a second time. So guys you want fine dining italian experience may be you need to look beyond castle hill. But if you like a dark setting with dark roof and dark furniture and super uncomfortable metal chairs with no cushions, combined with super underwhelming food, smug staff who know well that food isnt good, and pay super premium prices for it, this is the right place for you!! For me I learnt an important lesson, never judge a book by its cover and dont trust the reviews. Always look at negative reviews first.

Modo Mio, an Italian restaurant tucked away in the heart of the city, is a hidden gem that never ceases to impress with its delectable pizza and impeccable service. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an inviting ambiance that oozes authenticity and warmth. Let's start with the star of the show – the pizza. Modo Mio's pizza is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The crust is thin and perfectly crisp, providing a delightful canvas for the fresh, high-quality toppings. Their selection is extensive, ranging from classic Margherita to inventive, gourmet combinations. The flavors burst in your mouth with each bite, leaving you craving for more. Whether you're a fan of traditional Italian flavors or seeking something unique, Modo Mio has you covered. What sets this place apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff at Modo Mio are not just attentive; they are genuinely passionate about creating a memorable dining experience. They're knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations tailored to your taste, and always ready with a smile. It's the kind of service that elevates an already outstanding meal to a whole new level. The atmosphere at Modo Mio is cozy and inviting, making it suitable for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or even a casual night out with friends. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just satisfying your pizza cravings, Modo Mio delivers on all fronts. Be sure to make a reservation, as this hidden gem tends to get busy – a testament to its well-deserved popularity. Modo Mio is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience that keeps you coming back for more.

Dirty spoons, cold food, small portions, terrible service. Do not waste your money. The food was cold and bland. Very small portions. We ordered the Ragu, salami pizza and a side of potatoes and beans. It was very cold. Also the serving spoons were dirty. The staff were slow, no idea what’s going on. There’s no sense of urgency. We also got a beer and a glass a wine. The bill was $100. It wasn’t worth the small portions.

A few things could’ve been improved to make it a better experience for those who know their Italian food. While the base on the pizza was good, the pasta was a bit too thick and heavy and the Tiramisu had an odd layer of liquid on the bottom layer. Our meals were written down incorrectly so my friends received their correct order after I finished my meal. When we were given a QR code to view the menu, I expected to see an online booking system so we could order our meals online. Instead it was just the same menu list that appears on their website with no drinks menu or booking system. When we wanted to order drinks, there was no drinks menu available to look at on paper or online. Pretty poor Italian restaurant experience for a tablecloth service. Overall service, food quality and menu options need to be improved.

Just tried this place. And I must say I think it’s the best Italian I’ve tried so far in Sydney. The service is very good, staff are super friendly. The Bruschetta starter was just ok, but the pasta (Prawn spaghetti was superb) and the pizzas (loved the Gorgonzola w Salami) were really really good. Tiramisu was also good, although I wasn’t a fan of the strawberry flan. All in, I will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

Very shocked at portion size to cost, it's was such a small serving not worth the money. Otherwise I would up the rating overall. Ordered a margarita double check the order and it was correct, not cheese, I rang them up no apologies girl may have been busy but customer service very poor, should have offered a refund for the wrong pizza!!!!

Authentic Italian, excellent service and a beautiful setting. Found it by surprise looking for local Italian. Also read through some of the negative reviews, I personally thought that yes some of the servings were small, but I did find it very filling. The taste and flavour were spot on. Quality over quantity you could say… We are definitely going back and looking forward to it.

First time we tried Modo Mio we were blown away by the quality. Second time, not so much. Third time, absolutely disappointed. My pizza was probably the soggiest I've ever had. The dough was so so thin, it just wouldn't hold and everything fell apart. Everything dripped off. It was just, wet. I love thin dough, but this was just too thin and I didn't didn't finish the $28 pizza it was that bad. My mums prawn pasta was so fishy, I could smell it from across the room. She loves prawns, but considered it too fishy and with no garlic tastes there. Never like giving bad reviews, but we were so happy initially with this place that's why we kept ordering, but unfortunately this time, mainly the pizza, was inedible. Won't be ordering again, sorry.

Fantastic little restaurant situated in a quiet street off the main road. Pizza was excellent, dough had crunchy crust, pizza wasn’t overloaded with toppings & the quality of them was great, very fresh. Arancini ball was great! The truffle sauce that came with it was the star, it was very intense with the flavour, definitely a must try. Veal was cooked very well, quite tender, paired with a creamy mash, beautiful. Broccoli was amazing. Lightly seasoned, cooked well with a great crunch, served with lemon cream fresh, it went perfectly with it! Everything was great. The customer service was great, staff were lovely! The restaurant itself had a very cosy feel to it, candles lit on the tables, dim lighting made it a very relaxing & romantic environment, perfect place for a nice date. Will definitely be returning to try the pasta next time.

Service is really good and staff is super friendly. Not much variety but Pizza is really good quality.. Unfortunately portion size is tiny for the price and surcharge they charge especially for Pasta and Entree and seafood was overcooked and chewy. if i crave a good pizza i may come here else i will pass.

Went about a couple of weeks ago with my partner. We were recommended this restaurant by a friend, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is nice, and service staff were all very friendly. Food came at a decent time and all of it tasted amazing! Would definitely come again :-)

Fantastic place for pizza, pasta and their service is always friendly and spot on! Love ordering take away pizza but also love dining in. Apart from these guys nailing it, they were also kind enough to give us some pizza dough balls to test out our home pizza oven. Genuinely great bunch of guys! See you Wednesday for more delicious pizza!

Food is awful. Save your money and go elsewhere The bruschetta was slimy capsicum from a jar. The ragu pasta was bland, had little to no meat in it and was a tiny portion. The Anastasia pizza had cold chunks of cheese and uncooked tomato on it. Don't know if they even put it in the oven. We also got lemon, lime and bitters for drinks which tasted like cordial. I have no idea how this place gets good reviews.

Truly one of the most delicious meals. I love Italian and go to many different Italian restaurants and this is one of the best. The food is so fresh and delicious. My truffle pasta was beyond. The cauliflower side I had to stop myself from licking the bowl. The dessert blew my mind, beside the tiramisu we had a homemade Italian donut and I found myself dreaming of it today and still wanting more. Do yourself a favour and go be spoilt by tue delightful team at Modo Mio

My husband and I came to this place several times and we love it. The food is amazing and you must try Tiramisu. I can have 5 of them. The staff is so professional and kind. I cannot believe people write bad reviews because the restaurant did not provide a candle 😀 It is not fair at all. I will keep going to Modo Mio and I love their service and food.

Truffle pizza was delish but gnocchi was average undercooked. I’m giving 2 stars as kitchen staff making dough were not wearing masks. Please make sure your staff are wearing mask at all times.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. The pizza crust was so good - soft and fresh. Devoured the pasta. Rarely give out 5 stars but this place was delicious! Will definitely be visiting again.

This place ALWAYS satisfies. As an Italian Australian I am very picky with my Italian restaurants. If you want an authentic experience that’s good value for money with welcoming & friendly staff then look no further. Everything on this menu is delicious! Highly recommend!!

Modo is conveniently located near our place, and it was our second visit there. The reason for our second visit was to have a reunion with our moms at Modo. We decided to celebrate there because we were quite impressed with the delicious pizzas they served on our previous visit. However, the lobster we ordered, which was recommended by the waiter as the special dish of the night, turned out to be a disaster. The lobster was far from fresh, and it tasted like it had been frozen for a long time. It was, without a doubt, the worst lobster I've ever had in Sydney. Since it was the first time we took our moms out for dinner after their arrival in Sydney, I didn't want them to have an unpleasant experience, so I didn't mention this issue that night. However, we were very disappointed with the lobster, and it has certainly discouraged us from returning to Modo.

My new favourite Italian restaurant, the food was delicious, just like when I was traveling through Italy. Pizza and pasta really brought back those nostalgic memories!! Easy to make reservations through their website, received confirmation straight away. Friendly, helpful staff and service was quick. Both outdoor and indoor seating.

Visiting family from the uk I wanted a nice meal out to end the trip on. Drove past this place and saw that it was reviewed well. Great food thanks! Wood fired pizza oven. Nice setting inside and nice friendly staff. Only small critique was the homemade starter bread didn’t match the quality of the rest or the starters or mains which we enjoyed thoroughly and the pizza could have been done a handful of seconds longer in that oven but still very enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend this place and will be coming back next time I visit

The food was delicious and the service top notch. My only gripe was that our mains were delivered less than a minute after our entrees had been cleared. It would have been nice to have a little break in between the two courses.

Excellent woodfired authentic pizza… but the vegetarian gnocchi was quite possibly the best gnocchi I’ve ever had ! Apologies for pic of it half eaten ! Couldn’t stop after first taste ! This place is well out of my way but will travel back there for a meal!

Am giving 3 stars specially because I was looking for a chicken option which they didn't had. Nothing with chicken in pizza or pasta. Chicken wings were there in starters but even that was roasted a little more. I had spaghetti with prawns and it was good. Its high on expense as most of pizza and pasta are over $25.

Even if the food wasn’t good, I would go for the service. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious too. Recommendation would be the puffy bread and eggplant Parmy. Their pizza crust is divine. The waiter gave great recommendations, made sure we were attended to and I’ve not received such good service in a while.

The perfect Italian restaurant. We have been coming here for over 3 years and the owners and staff are like family to us by now. The food NEVER disappoints and is always so delicious. Good value for money and worth a visit (or many!)

I’m not a fan of Italian food because I have yet to come across good pasta! Modo Mio is prob the best Italian in Sydney - their Pizza: the dough, cheese, tomato sauce is high quality. Pasta is also amazing, not greasy but chewy and fresh. The sauce is perfection. The ambience is also good for a romantic date. I highly recommend.

I used to love coming here for quality pizza in the Hills but when I went out for the first time since lockdown on Saturday night the service was their downfall which was disappointing. It took 40mins for a waiter to come take our order and get water after we were seated. (Tried multiple times to get their attention but to no avail - even the table next to us were trying to get plates to eat their food) To top it all off they have removed an Italian classic from their menu The Diavola which they used to make to perfection. Sadly this will be the last time dining here.

Great vibe, amazing service. Food was decent, with decent portion size. The highlight of the night was definitely the tiramisu! Just wished they provided a candle as we made a booking for birthday celebration. Overall, it was a nice experience.

5 star food and staff, even they were short of staff on the 11th June. Only 2 staff on the floor, however they have provided the 5 star service, recommended.

We wanted woodfired pizza and we found Modo Midi. The pizzas were decent but I think we've been spoilt by other places. We ordered the margherita which is our go to, and it was nice. We also tried the Anastasia which was ok. We were told the toppings on the Anastasia go on fresh which meant the toppings would be cold. Glad we tried it but I think we prefer cooked toppings - noted for next time! Service was prompt and friendly.

This wonderful exceptional restaurant had the most divine food. It was also calm with soft music. I had the salami pizza and the salami was so unique and special. There was a nice wide variety on the menu too. I had the best time at Modo Mio and would definitely recommend that you go there. If you do go there remember the money is worth it.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
