Not bad for a weekday trip. More busier in the weekend

Pedestrian only street with local independent artist selling their craft. Spend some leisure time walking up and down the commercial street and check out the individual stalls full of clothes, jewelry, tea, snacks and ice cream. Take a detour along the side lane-ways for temples and niche hipster shops.

Gives off a very nice vibe when we were there around 3.30pm on a Sun, decent stalls line the path towards the temple 孔庙.

Somewhere to buy local special gift or toy and Taiwanese food. The stores along this pedestrian street look historical and give a nostalgic feeling. Their decoration is a nice feature in the old town of the city.

I am giving the rating more based on the convenience, as it is walking distance from my stay, and that I managed to buy something. I passed by on Thursday 12 April 2018 afternoon 12 pm and 3 pm and most of the shops (80%?) were closed, hence it is difficult to give a fair rating. The main shopping street itself is pretty short, but there are other shops in the lanes. Managed to buy a pretty unique leather pouch.

Crowded on weekends, selling souvenirs, lots of places to take pictures, only a short walk

Lots of old houses with quite a scene around it, there are many cafe and food options around, with a variety of stores with design goods and little things.
