Best Yakitori of my life. These young guys prepare and make yakitori like they have 50 years of experience. Don’t be fooled by their age. This is a gem. L meatball, neck and grilled rice ball was my favorite.

Fantastic restaurant in Takayama with limited seating ( which is great). The food was exceptional and we drank lovely French wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a fantastic dinner in this cute little restaurant with limited seats. The chef was very friendly and put effort in trying to communicate in English by translator app on his phone. It had probably the best chicken we ever tasted. What was also really nice is to see a chef work in his kitchen by his own and serving the food himself. To the non-Japanese tourist I would advice to ask for fully cooked chicken. Some dishes are raw chicken, which is apparently a thing here and mostly in the southwest and islands of Japan, they (the cook and a regular customer) told us. It was no problem for him to cook the chicken to more western standards, where it is strange to eat raw chicken.

This was our first time trying yakitory and I don't think any other restaurant can top this. It was amazingly good with very good service

Absolutely delicious chicken Yakitori. Was an awesome experience seated at the counter and watching the masters at work! The rice ball was great to finish the meal too. Probably the best meal I’ve had in Takayama. Thank you for having us.
