    Delicious eel rice in a cosy environment. The owner doesn't speak much English but there is a picture menu to choose from.

    A choice of several eel and rice dishes either together or separately, differing in price according to how much eel is present. Also some soups available. Food was good and decor was traditional with a counter and a second area with tables and tatami mats for those who prefer sitting traditional Japanese style on the floor with shoes off

    A stunning unagi joint in the middle of the mountains. Unagi was sweet, smoky, crispy, moist, and generous. Probably the best I've ever had. A little grandma runs the place, and it's filled with locals. Quiet and cosy family run place. Sets come in all sizes, but we got the normal at 1500 yen. I think it goes up to 3000+ if you wanna indulge. I wouldn't blame you if you did.

    Serves fantastic unagi dishes. As with most japanese restaurants, it specialises in a single dish, namely unagi, and serves little else other than alcohol, some soup and an onigiri with unagi filling. Should one be a fan of unagi though, and happen to be in the area, do not miss this establishment.

    A nice change from the usual Ramen or noodle soup. Fish was delicious and the rice was perfect. Great place to go if you don't want to drive all the way into town.
