There Many Climbers come here after climing mountain climing. I tasted takayama ramen , shoyu taste with shin noodle, local food there. It was delicious. They have a lot of menu which would be nice.

Great mountain cafeteria. Extensive menu with reasonably priced dishes, many from local produce. Cash only.

Happened across this place next to the ropeaway, what a gem, cheap and great portion sizes but with delicious beef steak you cook yourself, and an English menu. Would highly recommend!!! There aren't many good food places in this area cause of how remote it is but this is great for lunch or dinner!

If you looking for quality Japanese food in the Shinhotaka area, this is it. Had the Hida Beef meal set and Pork curry. Was incredible. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Japan.

After a long drive from Tokyo, my friend and I were surprised to find such a great restaurant in the mountains near our accommodations. I didn’t expect such a satisfying meal in this location because there are few restaurants to choose from.

Very nice food. English menu is available. We recommend trying the picked steak sandwich (pickled steak isn't steak, it's cabbage!). Staff very friendly

Our Yodel recommended this restaurant, while it looks like a possible fast food place don't underestimate the amazing food this place serves. I had the seasonal vegetable hot soba and my partner had miso glazed pork cutlet. I enjoyed my soba but if I have to recommend anything its the pork cutlet I wanna eat it everyday.

Probably one of the best dinner i had in japan until now, only 1000 yen and you get a lot of delicious food. And last but not least, everyone who work in this restaurant are lovely people. I asked where i could camp with my tent in the area and they told me i could in their parking lot. Amazing food amazing people.

After an arduous hike this place is the perfect spot to get civilized again, right off the shin hotaka ropeway. They have an onsen with soap and hair dryer and toothbrush mouthwash, chargers everywhere, free wifi, clothes freshener, and even some yoga rolling pin to open up those sore butts. Their food is also in decent sizes, to fill that appetite you've been building during the hike. You can get some nice Hida beef or some pickle steak sandwich, whichever you crave (or both). They even give back 300 yen to write a review. But it doesn't have to be glowing like this, i just felt like it. İ felt seen by this establishment, and I wanted to share it.

Only restaurant + convenience store on the way to the ropeway station and in general in the area (except for the restaurant in the ropeway station). The food was very nice and the size of food and drinks was funny because it was surprisingly huge for the asian kitchen. Ordering in English was also possible, because of the english menu. Plus they have a cute young waitress there 🙃
