Totally wonderful in every respect - lovely, friendly staff and sublime food

Great sushi and vibe. Dinner course and a la carte for order. Nice service. The dinner set is very good value for 2000 you get a dish of sashimi, tempura, a main fish dish and small sides. Also the sushi is really good! Very nice quality.

Wonderful local place, best sushi place in Takayama, best tuna we had in Japan so far! Super friendly and welcoming staff.

Very good sushi, but the atmosphere was a bit odd. We were the only customers there, and with mom, dad, daughter and son behind the counter, we were a bit outnumbered. Dad was smoking, which is pretty normal in Japanese restaurants, but still a bit gross to me. I bet it's better if you come here later at night. There's an English iPad menu, which was very convenient.

Outstanding food. It's off the main street and very well worth going. Staff is wonderful and food better. Went there both nights we were in town.

Fresh sashimi and sushi, yummy tempura and fried fish. A worth trying dinner set and a very nice dining experience! Highly recommend!

They have an English menu available on a tablet. The evening set was excellent and the owners were very welcoming.
