Great food, albeit a bit pricey as one might expect for such a touristy place. There are English speakers friendly menus. The beef is delicious, and well seasoned by the cook. I highly recommend to try it. This restaurant is definitely checking out if you are visiting Takayama!

Tasty yakinuki restaurant with a good choice of sets and even lunch menus. The restaurant is quite large with lots of tables. The staff is very nice. The only downside is the price on the bill at the end!

The meat was absolutely delicious, and it was a great experience. Yes it was a little pricey but that's not to say it was not good value

Delicious bowl of Hida beef bowl. Also recommend "kalbi beef bowl" Meet is tender and very tasty.

A5 and A4 Hida beef at Yakiniku Kaede, Takayama Old Town. ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️ It was "very oishi" just as recommended by our Japanese friend so we had seconds and felt so stuffed but happy. Also ordered their signature Hida beef curry, my lil one didn't like it too much, a tad too sweet This restaurant is located on the main street of Takayama and one of the rare ones which can take rezzies. Great set menu options were available which simplified the ordering process greatly, leaving us more time to enjoy ourselves.

We stopped by for Hida beef curry. Food was good but pricey. I would have given the place a 4 or 5 star but we felt ripped off by the charge of 400 yen for each cup of oolong tea. Furthermore, the oolong tea was poured from a can and microwaved. That’s just ridiculous. Would search for more reasonably priced locations

1 star but deserves 0. Tourists be aware, this place is a complete rip-off! Meat size is 60 grams, instead of the usual 80-100 grams, and (biggest red flag) chicken has same prize as beef! (So either the chicken is served with gold or the beef is disgusting)... terrible!!! Left after asking about sizes and prices three times, because we could not believe what we saw!

Good spot to try Hida beef at a reasonable price. The service was nice and very fast. The hoods above the grills do a great job of sucking out the smoke. They have larger sets, but Hida beef is so succulent and indulgent that more than a few pieces can feel link too much, so it’s more economical (and easier on the stomach) to purchase a few cuts to try a la carte.

Delicious and great quality meat cooked just the way you like it and at your own pace. A bit pricey but well worth it, a great and memorable experience in Takayama.

Little higher price, but I guess it comes with quality and location. Beef was melting in your mouth.... brilliant
