Can't go wrong with Japanese Mac! Really good!

Came here for a mid evening dinner since we got in a little late. The place was very clean (compared to the McDonald's in North America). Had the Edi (shrimp) meal. The shrimp was quite good. There seemed to be quite a bit of shrimp in there. For me, the highlight of the franchise is there a cafe counter by Barista. Not sure what is meant but I don't recall this every where in Japan (sorry if I am wrong). The cafe counter had macarons! They were ¥150 (or $1.80 CAD at 0.012 CAD/¥). When fresh, the shell was crisp and the inner biscuit was soft. Definitely does not compare to the ones in France or from a macaron specialty store. However, for a quick fix and a nice little dessert, it was very, very good. I have paid more for bad macarons. Didn't try the other desserts though, sorry.

The only damn restaurant in Takayama where you can buy food after 1900 hrs... kinda ridiculous for a tourist destination like this city

I just have to say this is THE BEST Mcdonalds I’ve ever been to. The staff are lovely, the food is fresh and tasty. I don’t go to mcdonalds often but this one is by far my favourite.

McDonald's anywhere is good. McDonald's in Japan is another level. So many unique menu items and the McCafe menu is more extensive than Canada's. Plenty of seating at this location and staff are really accommodating.

A couple of Japan-only options like green tea latte, but on the whole a soothing Western experience for the weary oriental tourist.

Great McDonalds branch. Perfect place to have breakfast before heading to the buses towards Shirakawago, Toyama and the likes.

This is the first McDonalds in all of Japan that was incredibly rude to us. The cashier was annoyed with us that we didn’t speak Japanese. She spoke to us like we were dumb and made hand gestures that conveyed we were an inconvenience to her. Her body language overall was very rude as was the tone of her voice. We asked for two more ketchups and for whatever reason that made her really angry. She grabbed them, slid them to my husband very rudely and then turned her back. We will never come back here again. There are a ton of other little breakfast places around that are much nicer.
