Traditional
minshuku
located
just
outside
of
Takayama
city
center.
The
typical
Japanese
building
is
charming
and
the
interior
has
some
nice
traditional
elements
such
as
an
irori
(sunken
hearth)
in
the
communal
space.
Our
tatami
room
was
very
simple,
but
comfortable.
We
stayed
here
in
winter
and
the
little
gas
heater
in
our
room
kept
us
warm
and
comfortable.
There
are
two
indoor
onsen
baths,
one
for
men,
one
for
women,
and
then
there
is
one
small
outside
bath,
which
half
the
time
can
be
used
by
men
and
half
the
time
by
women.
Some
of
the
facilities
might
feel
a
little
old,
but
it’s
reasonably
priced
and
the
staff
is
very
kind.
I’d
say
the
only
problem
we
experienced
is
that
you
can
hear
every
word
the
other
guests
are
saying
through
the
thin
walls,
so
we
got
woken
up
early
by
other
guests
having
an
early
checkout.
Can’t
comment
on
the
food
as
we
chose
to
eat
out.
