Just amazing. A modern and well organised museum. Super friendly and help-full staff. The permanent exposition was the perfect deep dive into estonian history and art development segmented throughout different techniques. The temporary space was full of more recent artists. A very inspiring experience.

a museum that gives a very good overview of the history of applied art and design in Estonia. The permanent exhibition offers the joy of discovery and many objects evoke a nostalgic emotion. The exposition of the robes of the robe made a deep impression. Thank you!

Words are not enough to explain how magical and multi dimensional this museum is. It gives Tate, Pompidou, Stedelijk a run for their money. It's small compared to the big ones, but it packs loads of depth, creativity and originality. Thank you to the Estonian artists, the curators and the staff making this an exquisite experience.

Nice quiet museum in the middle of the old town. Would have loved more information and more textual guidance into the exposition - why is this carpet or vase important enough to be displayed, who was the artist, who impacted them, etc

This is a beautiful small museum located in a historic building in the old town of Tallinn. I have visited it today for the first time, the entrance was free because of the museum’s anniversary. The museum has three floors, exhibitions include (but not limited to) glass, textile, furniture. I truly enjoyed the top floor showing examples of modern and ancient Estonian furniture. I also liked the idea of additional double-floor wooden constructions for exhibitions on the second floor. Also, the museum has a very cozy inner yard with benches and tables, sadly no coffee is served :) Overall, the place is small, you spend here at most an hour. I think it was totally worth visiting the museum.

Surprisingly great museum for Design and Designworks throughout estonian history until the present. Well curated and nicely exhibited. The works give a great deep look into the heritage and development of the local design history in various fields (pottery, metal work, jewlery, furniture, aplliances, …). Nice staff and its worth a visit for sure!

To get out of the rain we went to the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design. It wasn't on our list but it turned out to be excellent. It was eye opening to see some really beautiful items produced during Soviet times. We always picture a  gray landscape devoid of quality consumer goods.

A very interesting museum located in an old three-storeyed building with wooden floor making a very pleasant smell. A lot of interesting exhibits made of wood, glas, metall, stone and fabric, most of which are from the 20th-21st centuries, in particular from the Soviet time. It is worth to visit this museum. The staff is very friendly.

A wonderful 'full-format' museum. I would just like to clarify that its photo on the advertisements (a red baroque building with white pilasters) is misleading: this building in the Swedish Baroque style belonged to an associate of Peter the Great for many years and was called the Menshikov House. The entrance to the Museum of Applied Arts is located in the courtyard - you need to go through the arch no. 17 - in a 3-story building of a former medieval barn: above its door is the standard of the Museum. Enjoy your visit: it's worth your attention!
