One of my favorite pieces of architecture in Tallinn. YES- it is kitschy and overly baroque. BUT--- the architect Jakob Rosenbaum needs to be credited for creating his own, bold, unique style of.. idk.. post-modern Art Deco meets...?!? (Plus throw in a dash of 🐸 and pharaohs) And the Tallinn-typical two dragons look like ducks. I absolutely love them- they are super cute! (The frogs not so much.) One of my guests, a builder, remarked that not only would a passer by get killed if one of the heavy lanterns fell on him (my worry), but the building's stability would be heavily compromised. 🤔 Let's hope this never happens.

A wonderful building with an Art Nouveau-style facade with eye-catching Egyptian female figures. Probably from the 14th century. It is also worth going in, the Draakon gallery usually has a free exhibition, and in the basement there is also a sales gallery where you can see and buy the works of Estonian artists.

A very beautiful building from XX century an example of this architecture very rare in Tallinn

"a dude from the hostel recommended this place" That's how you know you're in for an experience. Highly recommend this place. The staff maintain a medieval roleplay and the design of the place takes you back in time. The food is good, I don't know if it's expensive, seemed acceptable given that it's in a touristic area. Going again, no doubt about it.
