Nice hotel in good location but subpar customer service. We arrived and they told us they had overbooked and so had to downgrade our rooms but hoped we were happy with the compensation. Said compensation was 5 little chocolates, considering we had more or less lost 20-30 euros only to be given chocolates that couldn’t be worth more than 4 euros (being generous) thought this attitude was pathetic. Giving a bottle of wine or credit for the bar in my mind would have made far more sense.

Truly not a 4 star hotel it claims to be. I am deducting 3 stars because This is the only 4 star hotel I know that does not lend out umbrellas to guests during the rainy season. Even 3 star hotels do that. I asked the front desk and they provided no solutions. So I had to be creative. I ended up using a shower cap to go to the nearby coffee place while it was pouring rain. As I walked out of the hotel looking ridiculous with a shower cap on, under pouring rain, instead of the front desk personnel offering a bigger plastic bag to cover myself or even offering any help at all... they just decided to give me a smirk/slight laugh as if it was funny that I'm about to get wet. If your staff can't provide solutions, you can at least train them to not smirk/laugh/ridicule guests getting wet because you can't provide basic rain protection... From a customer service perspective, you are definitely not a 4 star institution. Please stop claiming as such. I didn't mind these before but the last incident has pushed me to write it down. 4 stars without any robes, hotel slippers, not free water, no provisioned coffee or tea?!? These are basic 4 star amenities that do not exist here. From a room amenities perspective, you are also not a 4 star hotel.

We booked the hotel based on the location and the fact that they say the hotel is a four star hotel. Luckily they can’t fake the location since this is not by any means a four star hotel. Breakfast was poor and the breakfast room too small. Not all rooms have air conditioning. Bathroom was small and water pressure poor. It’s ok if you get a proper room for a good price and you stay for one night. Service has so far been good.

Rooms were fine, although i only had a very small window without view. Not a cheap room btw. Service was horrible. Bad English knowledge, and even the directions to the parking lot was so bad, it sent me driving around for a long time. No logo or hotel name on the lot... Breakfast had good bread and restaurant meal saved my visit. Although again the service was far from satisfying.

Apart from the girl in the dining room, who was superb, the staff were totally disinterested. It was like they didn't want to be there 😔

Had a very lovely stay here. The breakfast buffet is great, with very tasty food! The staff are helpful, although everything went so smoothly that I didn't really need much help :)

Good hotel close to the old town of tallinn. Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. The only thing to complain about was the airport-service. Our airplane had 40 min of delay and the taxi driver didnt wait. So we wasted some time in the airport... at checkout the hotel asked me to pay the 25€, but we took the tram instead of the taxi from airport to hotel. At the end we didnt have to pay the taxi costs.

Bad experience. This is a 4 stars hotel, but I didn't notice any sign of those stars. For example, how can you not have robes and slippers in a room that is called premium? What is this premium then? I'm attaching a photo of the pen - it's hard to find a cheaper pen. The bathroom was not clean - see photos. oh yes, I left the room 4 times in total and after each time I couldn't get in - there were always the card problems, I waited between 5 and 15 minutes to solve the issue. Finally, the person at the reception told me that it's the door problem and they won't use this room anymore... It could be 2 or 3 stars, but definitely not 4. And yes, I could tell all of this without leaving a public comment, but at check out I was not even asked if my stay went well. Just good by. OK.

Arrived to this nice little hotel rather late with my partner. It's close to the old town, but on a really nice, quiet location where it's silent at night. I can't remember the last time i was in a capital city hotel so close to the center, but still opening up the curtains there was just trees with big leaves giving us the privacy we needed. The room was really spaceous, clean and we liked the style of decoration. Sparkling wine was in an ice bucket as it was supposed to be. Bathroom was also nice and big, especially the tub was big enough for two persons! Sadly the restaurant was closed when we arrived and couldn't make it to the breakfast, so i can't give an opinion on those. New bathropes and slippers, no noise from other rooms or the street. Checking out a few minutes late was not an issue. I'm struggeling between the 4 and 5 stars, wish there was a possibility to give 4,5. Will definitely come back again!

L'ermitage Hotel boasts a fantastic location, with the Old Town within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring Tallinn's historic charm. The spacious rooms provide ample comfort, ensuring a pleasant stay. However, it's important to note that while the reception and service meet expectations, the hotel falls short of the 4-star rating it claims. While it offers a comfortable stay, some guests might find that it lacks certain upscale amenities or a more luxurious ambiance typically associated with higher-star properties. In essence, L'ermitage Hotel is a decent choice for those seeking a well-located and comfortable place to stay in Tallinn. Just be prepared for a stay that may not fully align with the expectations set by its claimed 4-star status.

I went here last April and spent two nights. We got a corner room which is much more spacier even if the room shape is quite irregular. Great service and nice buffet breakfast. Going here might take you a while from the tourist areas but still manageable.

L'Ermitage is a clean, fresh and nice hotel situated perfectly in the middle of Tallin. Very close to the Old Town, yet the nights around the hotel are quiet and safe. Our room was big and well maintained/cleaned, breakfast was good (standard hotel breakfast) and checking in was possible even at 23.50. Overall a great experience for me and my GF. The hotel was my chocie during this trip due to their very flexible check-in hours, good breakfast, good placement (walking distance to everything) and of course the great room for couples.

Oikein mukava pieni hotelli. Mukavat sängyt ja siisti huone. Jos huone tien puolella niin vähän häiritsee sieltä kantautuvat äänet. Todella hyvä aamiainen. Hinta / laatusuhde kokonaisuudelle täysi 10.

It was not exactly what I'd expected from a 4* hotel (the floor could have been cleaner, some little things were "broken" in my room). The breakfast was super for me (more like a brunch), even though I missed different _fresh_ buns. All in all I'd rate this hotel more 3* in hotel category. My Google rating is definitely 4* because they made me a really good offer, so value for price was good and maybe I would go there again!

Fairly priced hotel, but about ten minutes walk from old town. Very patient front desk staff. When I checked out, a German women (the customer from hell) was checking in, and I would have refused her from my hotel. But the reception staff was very polite.

To be fair, the hotel is well located, room is cleaned enough and service was great until they charged me for a bottle of water that I had never consumed. They charged me after I had left and I sent them an email immediately to tell them there must be a mistake. Since then, no news from the hotel to justify their error.

Vastaanotossa asiasta oltiin vaan vaan, että "now it's fine".

Excelent location - Hirvi, Snelli and Falgi Parks, EP146, Toompea is literally next door. Very close to the Kesklinn. Good base for exploring Tallinn on foot or by car. Especially from a room with a sauna. But... Not so fresh rooms

I booked a superior room but the room does not reflect what you see in the photo (at least in my case), room not so clean, rings and dirt of old glasses in the bathroom.Items missing but still listed in the room description (e.g. bathrobe, shamp). A strange metallic noise of fans even at 4 am in the room with the air conditioner off 🤔.It is very close to the historic center, various restaurants and pubs.Serious, professional but at the same time kind staff.🙂

Four stays last year. Good location, old town centre and restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are spotless and the breakfast buffet is a treat.

Uninhabitable room. On entry the room was incredibly hot, the thermometer pictured, said 26.5c. Outside it is 9c. I called reception, they sent someone up. After a translation I was told it would take an hour for the temperature to come down. Well it hadn’t dropped in the previous 30 mins and indeed didn’t after. At 2am this leaves no time for sleep. The minimum requirement of a hotel room is to be able to sleep there. This hotel failed. I can sense they have a problem. There was a separate non-functional air con unit, a temperature gauge and a thermometer! Pictures of each are attached. Receptions attitude was ‘hard luck’.

It is superbly located, very well designed with a friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are spacious for the location and the premium room with sauna just amazing. Generous breakfast included in the price. The only place we stay when in Tallinn.

It's a very nice place! But because all tourists want to eat in the marketplace the hotels food gets in the backround. It's exclusive, gourmet juice and absolutely recommended.

Overall good experience. Rooms are clean and large enough for a family of three. In-room-sauna is a great option, loved it much. Breakfast is so-so. Very good location, close to old Town.

When I arrived at night there were no receptionist. The simple guard couldn't get into the system to check if I effectively was booked in. No one left him a key for me no any instructions. The next day they didn't even said sorry. The cleaning is poor. I left early in the morning and prior to this I asked if I was entitled to the lunchbox. They said I should've told them way in advance.

You book for ad hoc night stay. You arrive and ask if the premises you are looking for, are available. Reception cannot respind. Then you wait for 15 for the booking to come through. Then you are told that what you requested, actually isn’t available. You leave. Never come back.

Room was too warm for sleeping with heavy comforter on bed, and the only way to cool was with window opening on to major thoroughfare.

Everything was top quality - from the rooms - dining area- bar - kitchen. The staff were extremely polite and helpful! I felt very safe as doors opened automatically - everyone who worked at the hotel showed respect by wearing a mask. I hope to return to Tallinn and will definitely again choose this hotel. Well done!

Overpried hotel for what was given, you must paid for every additional accommodation. The wifi is the worst, I had a last min interview and my wifi disconnect several times. The lady at the front desk was unknowledge about everything and had a terrible attitude. The room are very small and there's no pool in this hotel. (in case the vauge description about the tub room confuses you too) On the positive side, the bathroom/showers are very nice and the location is close enough to take cheap bolts to old town/surrounding areas. overall not a 4 star hotel.

Good value for the money! The hotel is very close the the Old town of Tallinn. The breakfast was great, the room was spacious with comfortable beds, and overall the hotel is perfectly clean.

Not friendly to motorcyclists. The price for parking a motorcycle is the same as for a car - 10 euros! 10 euro! We traveled all over Europe and Scandinavia - nowhere was there such a price for a motorcycle, even in real 4-star hotels. Often, when it rained, a garage was specially provided for free. Minus one star for this. The problem with the door card - the door did not open for us three times. - another minus one star. The breakfast is delicious... And one more thing - the doors in the elevator do not have a "safe stop". Be careful, it is better not to put your foot before the door closes. Nice bed, good mattress, bath. All this for 90 euros + 10 euros for motorcycle parking + 3.50 euros for water... Water in gas station is 3 times cheaper...

The room was really really small. The lovely view mentioned on booking was just view to the roofs and parking. Breakfast was nice except pancakes which were too dry.
