Food is incredible, place is nice. Very nice service. Recommending.

Coffee and cake were magnificent

Everything here gave me a sense of “home”. From the vintage furnitures, the cozy fireplace, the friendly staffs, to the simple yet delicious foods. We had borsch and fish soups for appetizer, chicken curry and breakfast omelette for main dish. They were all well prepared. The curry was very spicy so beware if you are not a big fan of hot foods. Besides, the hot mint chocolate drink actually contains mint liquor although it is listed under hot beverage.

Very adorable little gem when you don't know where and what to eat. There's enough of variety in the menu. I had omlet with gouda cheese and tomatoes and some nice hot chocolate. The interior is cozy and staff is friendly.

We went there for lunches and dinners and it was always delicious. The food selection includes vegetarian, gluten free, etc. I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy but all dishes we had, vegetarian or not, were absolutely stunning in presentation, preparation and flavor profile. We tried: the fish soup, lentil soup, pork belly, warm chicken salad, duck breast, fried shrimp, and the pesto. I cannot say anything negative about the foods we had. They were so good you just want to keep coming back. Drink selection is extensive and has something for everyone. The classic Vana Tallinn, the house schnapps, Paulaner Weissbier, local beers, hot tea, red and white wines, water... you name it. Service was fast and friendly. You'll feel right at home...

Good place for a weekend coffee. They have a terrace and their cups look great. Americano, cappuccino and the cake was for around 11€

It's such a nice place! It's very cozy and the staff is very friendly. It's very important that the owners remodel their menu since it says that the food is GF when, in fact, it isn't (the salmon, in particular). If I hadn't asked the waiter to double check, I would be in trouble since I'm a celiac. Other than that, I recommend the place.

I had my birthday lunch at this nicely located restaurant. The staff this day seemed overwhelmed and everything took so long, but the food was overall nice and because of the gorgeus apple tree garden we weren’t that bothered about the service not being on point. The food itself was really nice but the portions felt a bit too small for the price. Overall I recommend for a nice summery meal or a beer. They have a kid area in the corner of the garden so even the little ones have fun while the grown ups do their talks and wines.

I wish coffee wasn’t bitter but everything else is awesome!

Interior is cozy with a nostalgic vibe. Mud cake was amazing. Great place to have a date or late evening coffee.

Liked this place very much! Specially during the spring and summer seasons when you get to enjoy the terrace outside. If you’re around Põhja Tallinn this one deserves a visit. Remember you need to order yourself inside tho. We had the full breakfast for lunch (breakfast menu lasts until 2pm). Everything was great except that the potatoes were undercooked and a bit hard to bite. But this whole dish was 7.5€ which compared with other places in the city I’d say is a bargain given the amount. I’m coming back to try out more from the menu!

We initially chose another place to dinner in the middle of town, but they couldn't serve us within 40 minutes. I called "Kohalik" and asked if they had a table. Yes, they had! When we arrived, we felt warmly welcome. Very friendly service, wide and creative menu, large portions and completely normal prices. Everything tasted amazing! I am so grateful because you saved our day. We got home and were just happy. "Kohalik" has been one of our favourite places from the beginning. And we were sad when you moved away from Uus-Maailm. But it's not the place, it's the team and how you take care of your customers. Thank you! *The picture shows the ramen brought to the table: I asked the chef to prepare the "house recommended" ramen for me. It rolled off the tongue! What's especially nice, the chef had approached ramen in a very creative way - nowhere else have I had such a hearty and creamy ramen-soup! Long waiting of food, but all tasty. Quite much mosquito in the garden in the evening.

Whether alone, a couple or with a large group, this is a wonderfully cosy restaurant. Really feels like you are at home, but with great table service, delicious meals plus lots and lots of drinks. Sitting in or outside, there's room for kids to play. Found the wallpaper in the toilet really interesting, it's newspaper from 1929! #WOWfactor!

Super friendly people and great service, good place to work plus the food is amazing

The staff was nice, but the food quality was not so good. I ordered grilled chicken with salad and some kind of porridge. The porridge' taste was horrible as if it was spoiled. The meat was ok, but not very delicious and the salad had some strange vinegar on top. Also there was some lady with two big dogs inside the restaurant, so it was not the best experience. I hope it was just a bad luck, but still...

The food was good (risotto with goat cheese was great!) and the Limoncello was great as well! It's a good place for going with kids, they all played together in the yard but the playhouse was not very well put together. The slide was very steep and the stairs as well, it was also very high and had no safety railings. Not great with smaller kids.

Outstanding... We only had breakfast but it was great. Really nice “pot coffee” straight from the jar, lovely pancakes and great bacon and eggs. The place is really warm and comfortable.

Always awesome vibe. Small but good menu. Especially good when grill is open in the summertime.

I love this place. The service is always top level and the food is great! ❤ Only minus is that sometimes it might be too crowded.

Loved the big terrace, great food & service. Relaxed atmosphere. Definitely will visit again. Minor thing to nitpick on is that the chairs had such backrests that you were laid back really far and it didn't make it nice to have a chat with a friend across the table while also in full chill mode
