Classic Tamarin water hole. Epic on the weekends and for big sporting events.....but struggles due to its size to have much atmosphere outside these times. Super friendly staff and great value.

For starters, we went with the cheese samosas. They were crispy fried and completely filled with cheese. Taste wise, they were good. Were they special, not really. But still good. Another starter we had was the lamb kebabs. Flavorful, tastes like something you would cook at home. We also had another starter than includes either eggplants or zucchini’s on top of a large crispy biscuit. The combination was surprisingly good but the biscuit itself was extremely hard to cut through and it also felt impossible to eat with your hands. For our main dishes, we had the Mama Wagyu Burger with mild spiciness. Because we were hungry, we added a fried egg. It was good, the sauce elevated the flavor but still nothing special. The major disappointment came with our second main dish, the Lamb Shank. It was chewy, lacked flavor, and it had a lot of fat! We couldn’t eat it at all.

Lovely venue with great atmosphere. We were there on a quiet Thursday evening and had a wonderful experience. The beers were ice cold and the burgers filling and juicy. Attentive and friendly service.

Liked it the first time we visited. However, second time visit we faced racism and discrimination in the club by a female customer. Bouncers were okay with her violent and unacceptable behaviour. Would not even listen to my side of the story. Such a shame that such reprehensible hateful behaviour is excused. I have been to many nightclubs around the world and never witnessed this type of overt racism. I hope in the future management trains their bouncer to deal with racial incidents properly. My experience at big Willy was honestly a tar of my stay in Mauritius and I would honestly caution any foreigners before visiting Big Willy’s unless they ban their racist and violent customers and train their bouncers properly.

Fun, cool vibes. Open late, good place to chill with friends or meet new people. The burger from the food stand out front is amazing, but service is slow, waited over 40mins for our food. We were 2nd in the line.

Basically out in the open air with the ants all over the tables and mozzies galore. Food is expensive and honestly not great. Karaoke is horrendous and noisy live bands in a restaurant when trying to eat dinner and have a conversation is a nightmare. Awful place!

Top quality meat for steaks. Binge variety potatoes. Belgian standard fries. Good sauces.Pro live band. 🍷 excellent. Nice open air restaurant with tables well separated for decent privacy. Mayonnaise is not traditional however but that's understandable for food safety reasons n ppl being allergic to crude eggs. Would be great to have fresh green pepper in the pepper sauce. That would make it a true authentic à la diable sauce experience There was a fantastic rum shot delicately perfumed with natural vanilla at the end.. Definitely to try again.

Great service, good food and drinks and excellent place to watch rugby world cup

This is a fantastic place to go to for food, socialising and dancing. The best time to go is on a Saturday when there is a live band and a DJ. I really recommend this place if you want to experience Mauritian nightlife.

Wonderful place to be on Friday & Saturday nights with an amazing atmosphere...For sure the Dj will get you nasty after a few shots!!!

Big Willy's is another kind of party experience. You absolutely need to party there to understand the vibe. The music was exquisite and catered for all genres. Fun people around. Good drinks. Parking space available. It's the place to flush the toxicity of modern life and be with ur inner circle.

FINGERS IN MY DRINK?!? Are you guys crazy...? If there is a fly in the beer, you pour another beer.. embarrassing.. Apart from this; staff seem either dead or heavily asleep. Venue seems ok - but not alive.

First time clubbing and it's the best place to start here in Mauritius. You need a group of friends to make the experience more fun. All in all amazing

Went there on a weekday, so it was not as lively as I had heard. It was still a nice vibe with the World Cup matches playing, they had screens mounted at multiple areas. There were also snooker tables and other activities. I looked forward to the karaoke but it wasn’t very impressive. Just a room with no chairs. Look forward to checking it out on a weekend.

Went with some friends to go out drinking. Their mixed drinks are literally just water. No alcohol. Yet, they’ll charge you $4+ (USD) for it… And then they’ll charge 15 Mauritian rupees for a local beer for one person, but then charge 150 Mauritian rupees for someone else for the exact same beer. NOT TOURIST FRIENDLY!. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Came here on a Thursday evening which is a quieter evening here, but still a very nice place to sit and eat. We had the Frenchy beef burger and the chicken burger, both tasted great! The profiteroles were fantastic, never had them with icecream filling before but would highly recommend! Staff very polite and friendly and wide range of drinks on offer. I can see it would be a great place for any sporting occasion, and have also heard they have a karaoke room on Friday and Saturday evenings.

It is a must on the island. To go to eat or to dance it is excellent.My best evenings in Mauritius while living in FeF were at the big. It's still a bit expensive, but there are frequent events, parties on Saturday and Thursday, karaoke... Finally, enough to make everyone happy
