I was seriously impressed with the exhibition of Ella Maillart's photography. A great slice of 1930s Central Asia. The rest of the museum is well done. But the Maillart exhibit makes the museum a must see.

πŸ‘πŸŒŸ Really worth seeing this museum. Original ancient artifacts of a high standard are exhibited alongside a multitude of other categorised fields of interest including Soviet memorabilia, Banknotes and coinage from across the world and a photographic exhibition displaying depictions of central Asian scenes (not solely Kyrgyz). The practice of taxidermy can also be viewed. Entrance is 100som, and I recommend combining the visit with that of the Zoo which is only a short 5 minute walk across the park.

The entrance fee was 100 som each. It is small museum, but they do their best to organized and run the place. The picts on the wall were amazing. Details and nice. If they put the year when it did happen, will be more informative ❀️ It was fun to visit there! Worth it! Love it.

Poor museum with random sometimes unrelated display +Interesting old house -random unexplained exhibitions, eg modern money bills from around the world which has nothing to do with local culture -items unexplained -the natural animals of the region look like they've been starved and tortured before being stuffed With 100soms entrance you might check this out if you're in the region, but expect nothing

Small, but very nice museum. 45 minutes is enough to see all expositions.

Small museum but nice with a lot of photos. We can nevertheless regret the lack of at least English translations.

Nice place to visit. All the history from anscient till nowadays you'll find there. A lot of antique things, ticket price is nearly low. Down the street you'll find a central mosque, on it's other side is small antique shop- there are a lot of interesting things. Recommend you to go there once you've been in Karakol.

πŸ‘ From outside it’s a super nice church. I like the wooden look, convinces with the colorful tops and the golden tips. Inside is okay. I didn’t like the fact that they sell candles to visitors, who light the candles for someone, and as soon as the visitor leaves the church, they blow the flame and reu...
