Was really excited to eat here about a month ago and ordered a number of dishes. The food looked tasty, but there was no spice at all, except for salt, tons and tons of salt! How is it Indian cuisine without any spices? Without cumin? Without coriander? No curry taste of any sort? And the extreme salt - we couldn't eat much of it. Would not recommend or go back.

To be honest, I've had some amazing experiences at Indian restaurants in New York, but unfortunately, my recent meal at Indira restaurant was not one of them. I was really disappointed with the chicken biryani - it was far too moist and heavy, and lacked the vibrant complexity that I look for in a biryani. Adding to my disappointment was the overly pushy behavior of the waiter. While I appreciate attentive service, this waiter's approach made me feel like I was being pressured to spend more money. Despite my repeated assurances that I was content with my order, he kept pushing more and more menu items, making me feel like I was haggling at a market instead of dining at a restaurant. It left me feeling undervalued and uncomfortable, which is not what I expect from a dining establishment. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but in this case, I felt that it was important to share my experience. I hope that Indira restaurant takes steps to improve the quality of their food and the approach of their waitstaff, as I believe that a little less pressure and a little more attention to detail would go a long way towards improving the dining experience for their customers. It’s very simple and authentic. Food is really simple and good. Only thing I unfortunately didn’t like was the Naan, I’m used to a butterier and more dough kinda naan. The dishes themselves were good. But didn’t fall off my chair and unfortunately no vibe, we brought our own wine and even tho, were in and out in 1 hour and 20.

A really cute and outrageous restaurant in Tel Aviv The service is perfect, the attitude of the waiters is really good There is nothing like Indians who serve with joy and love and nod their heads. I love it It makes me happy

My second visit to this place changed the first time's opinion. Food was okay..some items were actually good. I personally liked Dal Makhani. Don't expect very authentic Indian taste especially spicy..but stand as good among most Indian restaurants in Israel. Not too spicy..balanced. Flavours pretty okay. You may not like it very much..but you won't dislike it either. Good Atmosphere..trying starters in chicken recommended over gravy. Overall 4/5. Recommended to try once to figure out if suits your taste.

Very good service, and decent Indian food. But things seem unreasonably overpriced considering the dishes they serve.

I had high hopes for this place and it followed through. The staff were so nice and polite. The environment was calming and quaint. The butter chicken was ordered with the saffron chicken and it was made to perfection! I loved it and wanted more. I would definitely go back and highly recommend. If you want Indian food in Israel, this is the place!

Order spicy Biriyani with raita(paid extra).. when we had it really super spice. added to the fire, the raitha was made spicy too. I never had spicy raitha. It was not at all edible overall. We did get some tea there , which was good in taste.

I visited them for an impromptu lunch at Tel Aviv and was intrigued by seeing their store profile on Maps. Their store decor has a nice Indian touch with Hindi songs playing in the background. The food arrived quickly and it was delicious. They didn't inform me that the Bhuna Gosht also came with a side of rice and this did not require extra carbs like naan that I ordered. At the end of the lunch, I was stuffed as the quantity was enough for two people.

Super disappointed. The worst malai kofta I have ever tasted, totally inedible, too sweet and with zero grams of cheese (so I do not understand how a dry potato dumpling in caramel sauce can be the most expensive dish there). The “business deal” is a total rip-off, the dish is not big at all and the dry bread they have audacity to call “Naan” just went straight to trash.

I took Panir Korma for 75 shekels. The dish didn't include rice and the air conditioning was barely on. The food is tasty but the prices are outrageous.

Avoid the fix price menu (it was the only menu presented to me). I had tomato soup, cabbage salad, vegetable curry, rice and sorbet- all tasteless. If I wasn’t hungry I wouldn’t have eaten any of it. What a disappointment!

Good Indian restaurant. Traditional dishes: samosa, malay kofta and so on. Good place for milk-vegetarians. Friendly staff, quick service. Accept 10bis card. Recommend.

OMG, everything on the menu is F* amazing. And we tried most of it.... didn't check the desserts. But everything else was incredible. Service is OK.

Good dishes : The potatoes sweet potato dish The rice with vegetables Palak panir Not good dishes: Rasmi chicken Meat dumplings Overall, too expensive for the amounts, too crowded and not clean as i would want... The sweets are great! All of them were tasty, especially gulab jamoon, lassi with rose water...

The food is great but prices are not so. A 300 ml beer should not cost 35 nis. 500ml beer should not cost 38 nis - anywhere - even in an expensive city like Tel Aviv this is extreme

Had Naan and Chicken Tikka masala. It was delicious. Not too spicy but didn't miss out on the original flavor. The restaurant location is great and accessible with public transportation. The waiters were nice and pleasant.

Great authentic taste! Had the Zafrani Chicken and the Moongdal Pakoda. Both were excellent and portions are very generous. Been going to this place for the past 35 years, have never been disappointed.

The dishes here have the authentic taste, they are simply delightful. Loved the taste of each and every dish we ordered, especially the palak mushroom curry and gulab jamun. The whole staff is really cordial and friendly, they provided customised curry as well per my preference (vegan). Had a wonderful time, definitely gonna visit again :)

Disappointing. Chicken jalfrezi was like chicken in barbecue sauce. Not spicy and too sweet. Edit: Why would you use sweet chili sauce instead of curry, is this an Indian restaurant or not?

👍 It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought...
