If you come to Tel Aviv this is a must visit. Hidden behind market stalls the serve the best hummus I have ever had. It cheap and good and located in an old synagogue the setting is also great.

THE Humus place, really really great place. Self service and great taste , just like humus should be. In the middle of the crowded Carmel market, in an old building located this fine small restaurant. Pure joy.....

Located in Carmel market. Great choice for hummus and to sit down for awhile. Interesting decor as located in an old synagogue with many artifacts on display including a torah scroll. Really great choice. Signage also identifies as "Hummus Magen David".

The Hummus HaCarmel is absolutely delicious! It is neither too light not too heavy, and doesn’t make you fall asleep immediately after. I love it. The prices their are also very fair. It’s a great spot if you wanna do some shopping at the Carmel Market as well. Good spot!

Good, fresh hummus dishes, aggressively priced. The place is located in an ancient building, decorated like a synagogue. There's a nice small balcony with great street view.

Whaaaaaaaa? So yum! Authentic, simple, just so damn good, open till sold out! And the renovated old Tel Aviv classic 1920 architecture is just a bonus gorgeousness on the eyes in the middle of the Allenby smog, traffic and grossness! Worth the detour! Next time I'm there I'll get it "with everything" עם הכל should have been more courageous!!!

I went at breakfast time. The restaurant had only been open for about 30 minutes. Lots of people coming in and getting take away orders. Simple menu they just 3 types of hummus and shasuka. I had the spicy hummus with the extra toppings and a boiled egg. An amazing way to start the day. I passed by a few hours later during lunch time, the place was full!

Visited the new location after having eaten twice at the old location during my last 2 visits to Israel. The hummus is flavorful as before. However, as they are not as busy as before, their pita is not as hot & fresh since they don’t need to replenish the pita supply that often anymore. I was very sad to see that I was the only customer in the entire restaurant at that time of the afternoon. New location is great, but I think they made a big mistake moving out of the Carmel market. New visitor are likely going to completely miss this place since it’s no longer in the market. Only people who know of this place from past visits are likely to come looking for it. Also the outside signage is very minimal at the new location and I missed it as I walked past it when I came looking for it this time. They need to have better signage in both Hebrew and English. Else it’s very easy to miss it.

My expectations were sky high... but this was disappointing.... Hummus was lacking in flavor. And while I'm no stranger to Israelis, this guy was particularly rude. As I'm eating there was a roach crawling up the wall at the table next to us. Did this place fall from grace or has it always been this way?

Very reasonably priced compared to other hummus places, but also the amount of hummus they put is really small. Also, a great location in a restored historic house.

If you visit Tel-Aviv never miss a chance to taste one of the best hummus in whole Israel. I don't how do they do such a miracle, but it seems to me that it's the most delicious food that I've ever tried in my life.

The place is very popular, however, it is not the best (and not even close to) hummus I had. No real major flavor to the hummus itself as well the other side dishes. Sorry but I will skip #LKTG

Very friendly and absolutely delicious. The synagogue theme is such a great idea. First we had a great laugh about it then we had the hummus and indeed it is kind of a spiritual experience 🤣👍
