1 drink, 1 sushi roll and 1 fries (confirmed to be store bought freezer fries) cost us 800THB. Make it make sense?? They have an exorbitant 120THB tax and service charge, though I didn’t detect the service to be that much out of the ordinary. Great ambience and nice menu, but we couldn’t help feeling robbed.

This place is incredible. We ordered quite a few different things to share between 2 people. I eat meat and my partner is vegan and we were both blown away by how good the food was. The service was fantastic, the staff are very friendly, the music was great, and the food was not only the best ever vegan food I’ve had, but some of the best food I’ve ever eaten anywhere. If I lived in Thailand I would be eating here all the time. This is the best restaurant I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting and am hoping to find the time to come back before we go back to the uk.

The food was delicious, we ordered a lot of their plant-based sushi first time being there and honestly amazed by how sushi made vegan could taste this good! Truly one of the best plant-based sushi we’ve tried. The staff were also really welcoming and kind, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to more of my friends. Lovely 100% vegan restaurant that serves California inspired vegan sushi seafood, Tacos and Burgers. Extensive menu with so much choice, was difficult to decide.. The manager was super helpful so I went with her recommendations of jackfruit crab cakes and the Cactus Tacos which were super tasty! They have a good drinks menu as well, serving cocktails, wines, beer, Kombucha etc. I went with the Sangria which I wouldn't normally pick but it was great! Finished off with the dark chocolate cake. All the drinks are 100% vegan as well, including the wines, so you don't need to worry, staff knowledgable. The restaurant has a really cool vibe to it, lots of mismatched furniture that just works, all very unique. Outside seating area as well. The nearest BTS is Ekkamai and it's probably a 15-20 min walk, location on google maps is accurate. The only real downside is it's pretty expensive and expect a 10% service charge on top.

I’m not usually the biggest Vegan oerson. But I ordered their Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl and it’s so full of flavour and I really enjoyed it. It’s a really cute little hideaway place as well. Will be back for sure

Perfect lunch! Very chill! Everything on the menu is delicious and you can lounge in a beautiful zen like space. A very welcome retreat in the middle of Bangkok. Everyone who works there are super friendly with incredible, warm service. 10/10 would recommend and I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town.

The restaurant is so aesthetically beautiful. I loved the decoration and the atmosphere. The service was so excellent. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. We ordered our food and we didn't have to wait long for it to come. The kitchen closes at 22:00 so you won't be able to order food after that but the bar is opened till late. So you can enjoy some drinks till late. It wasn't so busy when I went there. The place is small but cozy.

Oh dear, is this vegan sushi! I really enjoyed my first vegan sushi here as it taste close enough to the real one yet delicious in its unique way. The sushi set is definitely worth it and will make you full like normal sushi. Plus, it is beautiful. I would suggest to improvise the salmon/carrot sushi abit better since I found it missing something. The place is well decorated and clean. Just abit of mosquitoes hopefully can be resolved soon. Staffs are friendly and understand the menu well. It was a good experience.

This was simply amazing vegan food. The service was brilliant and the cocktails on offer were extensive! If you are in Thailand you must visit this restaurant. All the choices were of excellent standard. The miso soup was the best I have ever had! We are here for 8 days and so are coming back again for our final meal!

Seriously amazing. Highly recommend this place! Everything was super delicious. Not pictured are the WONDERFUL appetizers. A little on the pricier side for Bangkok, but it’s high quality western food, and all 4 of us agreed it was 110% worth it. We’ll definitely be back! Great experience for vegan food. They have many unique vegan menu, including sushi, rolls, burger etc. I love how fried mushroom is super crispy but not oily. All cocktails are VERY good and the choco cake is awesome, must try!! friendly staff & bartender :)

The nigiri set is definitely and experience if you’re into vegan cooking. A real work of art, tasty and satisfying. My colleague (who doesn’t normally eat a lot do sushi) didn’t know it was vegan/vegetarian until I told him, it was pretty convincing. I really enjoyed it and will come back next time I’m in Bangkok. Would be even better if they opened one in Singapore. Such a great concept, nothing quite like it.

We visited Golden State for a private dining event with a large group. The staff were very friendly in helping us with menu choices and allowed us to pre order in advance, and didn’t complain when some guests changed their selection at the last minute. The restaurant is easy to find via Google maps and had a cosy, homely feel to it. The food was much bigger than expected with many guests sharing the crab cakes. I ate the rainbow bowl and enjoyed the spicy satay. I also tried the strawberry parfait which was eaten as quick as it arrived. The staff created separate bills for our large group of 15 making it easy for us to pay at the end. Thanks to Eric and Oyy for their great service and delicious food. P.s they even offer vegan wine now 👏

I consistently recommend Golden State Vegan Cafe to all my friends. Their menu is very creative and regularly updated with new items. I’m a particularly big fan of their vegan sushi rolls which I get delivered pretty much every Sunday. And of course their crab cakes, fish burgers, and salads are delicious too!

I am not a full-on vegan, so I was skeptical of a place that does a creative twist on crab cakes and lobster rolls. I enjoy eating the real versions too. However, this place is absolutely amazing. The food is high quality, healthy options, presentation is beautiful, and the restaurant is very cute (ideal for a date night). The owner is very nice and takes time to explain the food choices. Price is a bit high, but you get what you pay for.... excellent taste and quality! Felt like I was eating a proper crab cake and lobster roll at the shore (beach). The fish sandwich was excellent too - with “in-and-out” sauce. If you know, you know. We look forward to coming back!

I have ordered take away with Ahi tuna steak and crab fish. I loved both menus, especially the tuna steak which is not made of tuna, but it is made of fruits. The taste of the food is great that makes me want to go to the restaurant and enjoy their environment next time.

I was really impressed by the quality of the food. The red and green dragon roll were both super good. Slightly preferred the red. The passion fruit kombucha was good too. Great vintage-home atmosphere with warm and friendly service. Highly recommended.
